View Full Version : PEXers: Beware of this person -- Maria Angelica Gueco

So the public may know...

This person, Maria Angelica Gueco aka aka fruit_acid / angelica_01 / angelica_04 has been making a living from victimizing buyers from forums like TEENtalk, FemaleNetwork.com etc and maybe soon-to-be PinoyExchange.

Modus Operandi: Her modus operandi is to sell things online. She has her own website with pictures of what she's selling. If you order an item, she will tell you to deposit it in her bank account and you wait for 2 days for her to ship your goods via courier. And now you'll notice that after 1 week that your goods have not been delivered and she already ran with your money.

This is a deposit slip which I copied from the above hyperlink. Having previously worked with BPI, I know that they will not accept any deposit in which the account name is not the same as what is in their records. As you can see from the machine validation, there is reasonable evidence that the owner of the account has the same name as the persone being discussed here.

Yup, Kuya Danny, exactly... Im so sure na yan talaga ang nagvivictimize ng mga tao kc dati may friendster yan... tpos pinalitan nya ng male nung nakalat ang balita sa mga ginawa nya... plus one time a friend of mine tested her... My friend used a different sim to order her and she really gave the same account -- gusto pang mambiktima ng ibang tao! That's why I'm sure she's now wandering in other forums with heavy volume of users...

i think napakaprejudice naman ata kung magpopost kayo ng sumthing like this. who knows, bka may misunderstanding lang between the person nag post ng msg na yan sa femalenetwork at yung gueco. i read the threads sa femalenetwork. and some of the gurls testify na they did made a legit transactions.

from a certain orange_dumpLing of femalenetwork:

"weird.. un nga un cell and name nia.. pero i bought na from her eh. through bank payment ren. bilis nga ng transaction kse i got the stuff the day after ko dineposit un money. i dont think she's a fraud, pero obviously there's something wrong. kakaiba lang.. dami ko nabili sa kanya eh. dapat lang kayo mag usap talaga. good luck"

check it out sa forum dun.

*** lang. one thing i learn from watching cartoons all day long during the weekends is, not to judge, your friend or a stranger, based on a hearsay or a claim like this. hehe.

He.He.He. Good for people whose transactions went smoothly, but as you can see she has done this more than once. :D Now that's a different story. I also post in the other forums mentioned. Btw, she is only in her "teen" age. Tsk. tsk. Bata pa lang swindler na.

Ma'am,

If Rochelle is not the same person as Ma Angelica Gueco, I suggest you create or use another thread. If you met Rochelle through a PEx ad, you should post either in Feedback on PEx Sellers or Feedback on PEx Buyers.

Thank you.

If she's truly a fraud, you could get faster results by filing the case through DTI's i-Reklamo Online Consumer Assistance. You can file the complaint here:

That is why it is not safe to buy things from an individual person selling stuff unless na lang if it is a legal ecommerce business.

I don't trust those & there are more chances that those products they are selling are fakes. Hazardous pa iyan sa health nyo especially for tablets taken orally.

NO OFFENSE

Yeah. Wonder when magkakaroon ng Paypal dito? It really is effective, especially sa Ebay.

Or maybe there is a local equivalent of this?

kelan kaya magkakapaypal sa philippines para may accountability naman mga tao?Paypal, as well as many other online CC companies, refuse to provide their services in the Philippines because of the rampant credit card fraud in this country.

For example, try to pay for US-based webhosting using your philippines-based international card, you will find a lot of them (70%, or maybe even as high as 90%) will no longer accept your card. A few years ago, they would.

So, I wouldn't wait around for that to happen if I were you. You can do online transactions today using Bancnetonline, it's even easier and faster than a credit card. No registration required, all you need is a Bancnet card and the transaction fee is a flat P27.50 per transfer.

pede na po ang paypal sa philippines pero you can use it to pay someone only. you cannot use it to accept payments.

On-Line Fraudsters?
A real treat for the newbie and even for those doing business on the net.

That is why if you want a bit of trading on the net safely, use Ebay! at least if those guys cheat, he/she will be given negative feedback immediately and eveyrone will be aware that he/she is a fraud.

I buy and sell thru Ebay and have had some problems before with sellers that is why I check the seller's feedback before I decide to bid.

Here's my ebay profile just to show how one (buyer or seller) is gauged in Ebay.
http://members.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserPage&userid=8photo8

See that I even have a complaint for something that went wrong. The payment never went to the seller due to money sent got lost.

Contact me if you have questions at ericgozar@gmail.com

Marami na siyang na-victimize sa GIRLTALK. I am not posting this to embarass her for victimizing the people but to caution her potential victims. Sending late the orders and not sending the orders at all and getting payment from the buyers are two different things. So I think its clear that delay of shipment is different from THEFT.

pwede naman kasi "CASH ON DELIVERY" dapat transactions eh... the business owners can arrange that with the courriers. kapag ang isang business is "deposit muna bago delivery" magduda ka na... it is not secured unlike credit card transactions na supported ng paypal, etc.

lance54
Dec 30, 2006, 01:02 PM
you can seek NBI assistance. The bank should have the informations of the person doing illegal transactions. Specially BPI, if she opens an account, required talaga to submit 2 valid IDs (as in yung mga kilalang IDs such as drivers, passport) para maiwasan ang money laundering and other illegal transactions. Gusto mo punta ka sa XXX ng ABS-CBN para mabilis at mahuli talaga yan.
