Anybody here owns or operates an e-commerce website? Please share your experiences... How do you handle payments? I would like to put up one myself, how much do i need?

About $50 a month, you can sell online. The solution is targeted to small businesses in the US and Canada. This includes the website, payment gateway, shopping cart and transaction reports.

Check-out http://client.apptomix.com . There's a setup fee but the company is building-up for a major launch; you might be able to get a discount.
