Now the EU has god knows how many new members!!
They are all now allowed into the U.K to live and work..Its a small island..The queue could be long and getting longer. Good luck!

May brother ako dun who always bugs me to leave my current job and go there na, of course ako ang maghahanap ng trabaho sa sarili ko... sagot lang nya yung titirhan ko.

the the first thing that you should do is to secure all your documents an certifications, kse medyo matagal din ang pag process nun... kuha ka ng updated na transcript sa school mo, certification sa CHED, DFA at Malacanang. PRC license (if you have), birth certificate sa NSO, NBI clearance. etc.

habang inaantay mo naman matapos (which could took months), hanap ka at tambay ka sa mga website ng UK and look for jobs.
or visit ka sa POEA.

what are your plans ba?

Jeffreyw..Thanks for pointing that out..I really do wish him/her good luck.
Crab mentality?..
I left the crab bucket years ago and live in the U.K. and I am mereley pointing out the facts as they are...
It is really getting harder for non E.U nationals to come here ...You just have to face it.
Health workers still have the best chances but are not as well paid as in the U.S.

I met a headhunter based in UK last week in New Jersey. Actually, certain Asians are preferred as they are trained to be all-around or do-it-all types as compared to native Englishmen who are mostly trained to be specialists.

There's a local recruiter specializing in jobs in UK in New Manila, QC. I don't know if he accepts walk-ins though. Two years ago he recruited some MRT personnel to work in UK's railroads.

Here's something I got from my email:

I think this is the right time to search some work in the UK due to the upcoming Olympics in 2012. The UK govt are already preparing the infrastructure works for this event.
