Hello !!! I absolutely adore flowers and am thinking of putting up a Flower Shop with variety of gifts and choco on the side. I've tried this part time in the past and profit was huge ! Is anyone in the biz that can help me out ? I'd really appreciate it ..... tnx

kath_bianca2004 - Don't stick to retail, the money is in events or B2B. If you can provide flowers for parties, especially weddings, that would be great. For B2B, try to partner with a caterer who will get you for their parties. Or, if you can find a venue that regularly needs flowers and have a contract with them, that would be good too. Example would be a hotel. :)

I hate to be morbid but the funeral and hospital flower businesses can also provide steady cash flow so you don't need to rely on retail too much.

That's very true,kuya danny. Would you believe that they can have a min of 300% mark up ?
