does it matter if an application is submitted personally, thru email or post?
i heard applications tendered personally are preferred because people think it's more sincere.

In general, I am indifferent, but if I put out an ad and say mail your bio to the PO Box, and you insist on showing up personally at the office I might hold it against you. It pays to follow instructions.

I prefer electronic formats for easy filing.

it doesn't matter......what does matter is the content of your resume...
In my experience, A personal Handcarry would be the best option.

Do human resources people also print the electronic formats? Don't you find them difficult to read if not printed? Usually résumés are just pasted on those small fields. And do you guys print those .rtf or .doc attachments too? I believe some people can't just stand reading hundreds of résumés posted electronically.

Yes.....They can read hundreds of electronic resumes.....that their job....
but they do this only when the company is in need of manpower.
What they usually o, they search to their DATA BANK of resumes BEFORE going to Job Ads.

personally, i'd rather the applicants submit their cv's personally.
i don't like receiving emailed resumes. i just reply and make them come in personally, or if i'm in a bad mood, i just delete them altogether.

If I receive a resume that is not accompanied by an application, sorry na lang. Following instructions and demonstrating initiative in appropriate manner weigh more in showing one's quality as an applicant.

minsan kasi they give option to either hand-carry it or send thru email. pero na experience ko na serveral times, email muna ako...walang reply. tapos nung sinubmit ko na personally, tinawagan ako. huh?

btw, if you're sending your cv by email, please include it in the body of the text itself. don't submit it as an attachment. some email servers don't allow viewing of attachments as a precautionary measure against viruses.

i usually send it as an attachment kasi pag na include sa body ng text nasisira yung formatting nya. :)

Well, in our case we prefer that resume be submitted online. We are just trying to avoid human traffick. Anyway, di ka naman maiinterview agad pagsubmit mo ng resume.
