Go for it, I think, your family can still sue your dead-beat dad for some financial support.

*pexadik*--If you are in US,you can go the nearest Social Service Office and file the child support that will cost you nothing, and let the Social Service press the charges against your dad,but I still doubt it bec you were already above 18 not unless you are full-time college student, then your dad owes you a bunch of $$$,but if you are in the Phils., how can you sue your dad for a child support if that law didn't exist, what you gonna do,press him a bogus crime?:confusing:

UP College of Law office of Legal Affairs(?) - OLA gives free legal service.
although personally, what's the point in suing him? he left for good reason. either that or he's completely unhindged in which case he'll hardly be of any use. i sometimes have thoughts of abandoning the wife and kid when i'm pissed off.

carlocarlo: has your mom tried filing for legal separation? - child support cases in the Phils. are covered by Titles II and VIII of the Family Code (http://www.chanrobles.com/executiveorderno209.htm). better follow mac_bolan's suggestion, you must consult a legal professional for specific legal advice.

OLA stands for Office of Legal Assistance.

Just tell H.E. Y A that your step-father is a cousin of Pres. GWB Jr. then he becomes a target! The US forces loses moral against Iraqi's!
Then step-father gets a PLO slug on the head and I get to have my Bel-Air, California inheritance plus the cars...
I learned from the best my CIA step-Dad :D

KuyaDanny tells me that legal advice threads should be in the Working Filipino section, so to there it shall go.
