I have a 9 month old daughter and we've only been together as a family for 3 mos w/ her daddy coz i went back home to phils to deliver my baby...her first words were mama, bt now that she sees her daddy, she prefers to say dada more, she only remembers to say mama when she's hungry and sleepy...she sticks to me like glue naman when i'm around, but she just doesn't seem interested in saying mama, lalo na kanina, my MIL was teaching her to say mama but she just ignored it, she said something else instead....do u think there's something wrong w/ me? pls advise naman *** coz it's troubling me so much......tnx.... :~(

*pexadik*--don't panic, your daughter is not trying to disowned you, ako nga 7 months nag start mag babble ng word ang anak ko,ako rin ang kasama nya for all those times ha,pero first word nya pa rin "dada",pero ngayon na sobrang talkative sya(at 3 yrs old na), mas marami na akong naririnig na "mommy". relax lang, don't worry,it has nothing to do with your parenting style.:)

fickleminded, salamat ha...mejo at ease na rin ako after *** u said....i guess i'm just getting insecure coz she doesn't giv me all her attention anymore....feeling ko kc na she's all grown up and wouldn't need me anymore....

Most kids really start saying dada than mama, it's easier to pronounce for one. My baby did that too.

R-e-l-a-x. It's not like your baby is sick.
