hundreds of contacts & billions of pesos. telecommunications & IT hardware & licenses alone will cost millions!

You can actually go $1,000 or a little less per seat but that's just telecom equipment. There are some suppliers that are sobrang taga--as much as $7,000 per seat.

Just out of curiousity, what COMPUTER hardware do you need to start a call center? Please include the wires and etc.. if you have a good idea of what it is. Thanks. :)

The best and most upgraded computer hardware (minus of course gaming video cards, etc). My computer at work is much nicer than my PC here at home.

Also *all* your software has to be licensed properly.

I have an Idea.......

Why not we people that have interest in putting up a callcenter build a group ans start up one callcenter, Im this was establishing one would be easier than doin it alone secondly if it progress then thats the time that we can say that we are already equip to start one by ourselves......

The computer hardware will be your simple working desktop. Most call centers prefer getting branded ones for the warranty. This is especially important if you plan to start up around 150 seats onwards. You'd want to have your IT team work on telephony and networking rather than troubleshooting each PC.

As for wiring, it will depend on what infrastructure you want your network to look like. Of course this will be dependent on the building policy and structure as well. There are several suppliers of "workstations", you may want to consult them as they normally allot power, network and telephony spaces when they build the stations.

Your idea is sound, but it might be hard to be a player in this industry unless you already have a client in mind. Others who want to start a callcenter may already have a client and probably will look at what you offer on the table before commiting. Long-staying clients are difficult to find nowadays.
