AGA MUHLACH

What is the best thing to do with P500k?
(Given: I do have a decent job P20k/month)
(1) Start a Business
(2) Buy a new car or 2nd Hand
(3) 50% for the Car and 50% start up a business
(4) Forget it, Migrate to another country (Given that sponsorship is not a problem, and show money is the only issue)
I need your opinions or other suggestion aside from the given options.
Put yourself in my shoes sort to speak. What will you choose and Why?

hi, aga muhlach! to answer your question, you must ask yourself these: what are my needs and interests?
if you're tired of your current job, you might want to start your own business. but i suggest investing half of your P500k so you will still have savings. it pays to invest early kase. make the power of compounding interest work for you! besides, start up businesses are risky. think of saving your money as protecting yourself too.
if you're planning to get married, you're money is just enough to cover for the wedding ceremonies, honeymoon and initial rent if you don't have a home yet.
if you're an OFW, invest in pension, insurance and medical insurance initially. you can divide the rest to other investment tools.
but if you're a singleton, best you can do is invest your money in a tool that would earn interests higher than the current inflation rate. maybe mutual funds or something.
whatever you decide to do with your money, you know aga muhlach, remember na ang saya ng 'issue' mo. it's a problem i wish i have! :D

me, if i have 500t, i'll invest the 20% in insurance, bec. i'll never know what will happen to me......we only face 3 risk in our life, that is a) you live too long, b) die too young and c) meet an accident, one of that scenario will happen to you, i'll guarantee you that. So, you have to protect yourself, and your loved ones.........INSURE yourself,- the 20% of your 500 can already give you a 1M coverage, so, in any case mabuhay ka man ng mahaba, pensionado ka in the future......mamatay ka man (knock on wood) ng maaga your loved ones will love you more, yung 500k mo dumoble pa...diba! think about it.

you got a strong heart? if yes, go to the stock market -- BUY MINING STOCKS, NOW! there's a bull market and the mining sector (many stock prices have more than doubled since last year) is leading it. caution : study it well and take to heart all the caveats about investing in mining.

Had I gotten 1M, I would have earned 144,000... hehe. I played this stock market simulation game (PSE) and by randomizing the stocks I picked, I actually earned (virtual) money in a quarter.
Do NOT invest in telecom companies at the moment, most of them contributed to my losses. I was surprised that Benpres gave me one of the highest earnings though, I think their business isn't as good now. Malaki din ang earnings ko sa Banco De Oro, stocks jumped from 21 to 30, too bad napaka-conservative ko sa pagbili ng stocks.
Anyway, di naman totoong pera ang sinasabi ko, pero the trading game is pretty real since it is based in actual stock exchanghe movements. I highly recommend trying it out before putting your real money there. I would want to join tournaments nga, pero too bad, di ko alam kung paano ako maka-obtain ng tournament pass. :P

yeah right. read it carefully, the business i'm offering might also be for you. as much as i'd like to have that 500k, i'd rather earn it. and i must assume that you're smart enough to know that all he needs for the startup business is P5,888. go figure, stupid!

if i had 500k, i'd invest some of it in treasury bills. hehehe. but before i do that, i will buy a lot somewhere, and then build a house, then i'd rent that house out so that i would have more income every month. then when i have more money, i'd go buy another lot, and build another house, and then rent it out again, and i will continue doing this til i dont have to work anymore. hehe. :)
or maybe i could just buy a taxi. 500k is enough for a taxi. then i'd have extra cash ulet, tapos saka ko na ipambibili ng luho ko. :)

lend it to me, will give you higher interest rate than the bank. :D
Seriously, I am not sure if 500K is enough to buy a Citiland Studio unit Condo. Rent it out for 9K a month and you have that passive income. ROI is about 4-5 years plus the property...
buy a P500K pistol and shoot yourself. maybe after you ve done that you'll have an answer to your question.

Maybe not. I have a studio unit which I rent out for 9K a month, and it costs a lot more than 500k. It's not Cityland, though.

i would say, invest the 500K for a business....pero be wise kung anong business ang papasukan mo...NEVER INVEST YOUR MONEY SA MGA STOCK STOCK EXCHANGE NA YAN AT KUNG ANO ANO FINANCIAL SERVICES...trust me, they just want your money, and they wouldn't care pag nawala na yan...maraming raket kasi na ganyan dito sa US. kukuhanin ang 401K, para daw pag tanda nila eh limpak limpak na ang money nila...pero di nila alam wala na....anyways, its better kung magiisip ka ng alam mong productive na business, then dun ka magsimula...Isipin mo na lang, kung employee ka habang buhay..kahit kumita ka pa ng P1M a month....iba pa rin kung may sinimulan ka na mapapakinabangan ng mga anak mo in the future...walang yumayaman na employee....

start a business.
a car's value depreciates and mahal ang gas at pag-papaayos. kulang ang 20K per month pag may car ka.

500k is not money at all. If i were you go to the casino in naia cash it in for chips and tokens and try your luck in playing baccarat or any table games and also the P10 slot machines there. Maybe you'll be lucky and increase your capital making it millions. NOW THATS MONEY!!!
