Hi,

have you heard of this company? ok kaya mag-work dito? what can you say abt this company? its located at IBM Plaza, Eastwood Libis. i have an offer here as a programmer trainee. but i cant decide yet. need some info and advice. thanks!

how much starting salary nila for a programmer trainee? on what language will you be trained? tsaka meron bang bond?

7k lang starting bcoz allowance lang bibigay nila for 3 months tapos increase ito depende sa performance mo sa training. i will be trained for AS400, RPG, ILE.. hindi ko alam tong mga ito but they said its ok. Ang problem ko ay.. indemand ba ang mga tuturo nila sa kin? Para in case na umalis ako, makakahanap pa ba ko ibang job? Ok lang sana sa kin yung 7k starting bcoz instead of studying for a certain language and paying for it, sila pa ang magbabayad sa kin. But, ang bond is 2 yrs for 100k... What if maliit lang ang increase ng sweldo don? Wala bang may alam sa company ito? 4yrs pa lang sila e..

maliit *** ang ii-increase syo if ever....ok nmn yng mga language na itr-train syo so if willing ka magtiis muna ng mababa sweldo for 2 years then go ahead....but if not, i advise you not to go with it....marami employees sa itsi ang di happy sa status nila dun ngayon....

ah.. talaga? tsktsk.. how much ba yung range ng salary nila sa mga regular employees? may kakilala ka nagwwork don?

na-assign ako dati dun before as a contractual..so sa kin ok *** kc malaki ang bigay nila....lalo na kung ic-compare sa mga regulars dun.....ang alam ko wala pa sila sa 20k e....tapos wala pa OT pay....tapos may mga nagrereklamo pa na di binibigay ng itsi ang contributions nila sa sss, etc.....tapos pag nagresign pa daw, pahirapan pagkuha ng backpay.....yung iba nga nagfile pa ng case sa company na yan para *** mabigay yng backpay nila e....

I'm into RPG.... bale 10 years na ko sa field na to.... hindi sila ganon ka in demand pero wala masyadong competition unlike kung Microsoft ka..... salary range ngayon (after 10 years) is 80K to 120K a month (contractual - programmer) or 60K to 90K (regular - Project Lead). Been back from the US after working there as a Programmer Analyst for 7 years. Bago ako umalis sa US noon, nasa 40K to 60K na ang contractual jobs (1997 to 1998) ng AS400 Consultant with 2 years experience since wala pa masyadong midrange personnel nun. Di kasi itinuturo ang AS400 sa college, hehehe.

Based on individuals I've interviewed, and there has been a lot of them coming out of ITS (I've even interviewed this guy who has worked in the middle east and who's now teaching COBOL/400 for ITS), I could probably say that the training is sufficient but not as comprehensive as the training conducted by RADIX. I guess nothing beats working in a live project for training.

Ok naman yung offer nila... I worked here as an Analyst Programmer before... mababa talaga kung starting ka, pero mataas naman kung may position ka na. Pero mas mataas kasi ang offer sakin ngayon dito sa company ko kaya ako umalis.

Kung may maganda man dyan yun ay ang matututunan mo. yun lang. galing dyan ang classmate ko, RPG/AS400 programmer. parusa daw ang 2years stint niya dyan(bond). well, 2nd most expensive language ang RPG, kaya nagtyaga na lang cia.

I cant think of a better word to describe this company...really can't compare to anyone cause ITS is incomparable...you'll definitely get FOOL of your life...is there anyone from ITS who can prove this...im sure no one will hahaha..
