Just read from PDI about Citi Corp (CITIBANK) being sued in Japan) and it also Included a Story about a Filipina who invested $150,000 at Citibank Philippines only to be mislead.
Anyway, i also experienced being misled by Citibank, last year, a Citibank rep called me up saying that I was qualified for a free supplement, I told the guy that I did not want a supplement, but the guy insisted and said that it was COMPULSORY!! well i believed the guy (i dont know why i beleived him), he even told me that I can give a card to anyone I want!!! Can you believe that??? But I cannot thank of anyone to give a card to, and I was such in a hurry that i said a name of a friend. Oh well.
There was also a time when someone, I think her name was Mrs Munoz called up at the Office, she was looking for my sister, but my sister is based from abroad and she pays her bills thru the local branch their, when told that my sister was not in, Mrs Munoz asked who she can talk to, the person who answered that the brother was in, so I answered the phone, and all of a sudden Mrs Munoz blurted out where my sister was and that she was making all sorts of excuses not to pay, she was very very rude and then she just hanged up on me. It is only in Citibank that I have experienced such rude collectors, in other banks they even tell if you cannot meet the full minimum, at least make a half payment.
