after hiring 300 agents for SONY they will send half of them to MCI or Dell
why? Sony will pull out the account????

just another question why do transferred agents need to pass the interview before being transferred to a different account? Even if you have good stats and performance and your already a regular in this LIKE NO OTHER ACCOUNT.

and asking remaining agents to go on restday (-as a deduction to salary next cut off) service level droped to 54 and call waiting goes up to 10!!!!!

this is just clear evidence that management is just thinking of nothing or should I say they are not thinking at all....

hi, i used to work for the same account jan po sa clientlogic. im just sad that all these things are happening. yeah i understand na its bad for a call center to have too many idle time kasi bad for the business dapat din not too many call waits actually mejo napansin ko un kasi i came from another call center and my team leader used to explain all these metrics to us. its sad that this is happening to sony. hirap na nga sa certification then ganito pa mangyayari. some of my friends are also there and are very worried of what might happen to them. they need jobs unlike me pwede pasaway sa buhay.
bad trip ren ako nun sa mga promises nila na nde naman natuutpad... i dont need to reiterate those things pero sana nde na lang nila isinama sa incentives ni sal. hehe
no harm meant to sal mahirap rin sa lagay nya kasi sya nasasabon all the way from the us pa di ba. sana ayusin ng workforce saka ng operatiosn designation ng agents para nde masyado madaming avail saka nde masyado marami call waits.

i used to work there and also belonged to a sony campaign wave ?. hindi ko na inabot yung ginagawa nila ngayon. i left early after just 4 months. i sensed kasi something is wrong and i resigned when sony there was still making ends meet. ngayon ko lang nabasa at nakita itong gagawin nila kaya medyo nasabi ko sa sarili ko na buti na lang wala na ako dyan. even when i was there it was already crappy, not enough training, congested workspaces. tapos isasalang ka na. para tuloy kaming bata na inihagis sa dagat at pinabayaang matutong lumangoy na mag isa.

it's just constructive criticism then again im speaking my mind here.

i heard the sony account of clientlogic was transfered to C3/soca (customer contact center/source one communication asia) because of the "scandals" that transpired in the sony account while they were still with clientlogic and the performace of both call centers. can you confirm this?

afaik, the c3 sony account does not handle vaio computers. CL lang ang may hawak nun. sony is no really pulling out daw according to a friend of mine who is still in CL and in sony. kumonti lang daw talaga yung calls. tapos yung sony buffalo i di disolve na daw and yung mga L2 calls daw sa manila na rin pupunta (escalation at ffr, sounds good to me). yung mga ibang agents daw nilipat sa ibang account pero baka ibalik din daw sa sony by march.

*Got a hold of myself*...Now, lets put sensible talk in here. Let us not be biased in this issue guys. The point is, yes, we feel bad about it. Some of our well loved comrades got transfrerred to another account, and this is *maybe* because of low performance (i.e. CSAT, metrics, QA ratings). If you think (I did too) some of these people did not deserve what happened to them, we can't do anything about it. Here's the point. If they're good I'm very very sure they will make it to the top of their new account with graceful ease. So, no need to worry about them ok? "dala nila sarili nila...". Management did explain to us all of these. Basically, it's not the management's fault (in the Manila side ayt?) but it was Sony's fault. Basically, they took in wave 6, wave 7 because Sony promised more calls for Manila since another call center (located in the far side of the globe) will be closed down. But now, alas, Manila did not receive the volume they expected. So now with a lotta agents, idle time soared to an all time high. The heck one time after my 2nd break, no calls till he end of the shift. So, it's bad business. They did all of these so that Manila will still be in business, and now it's still alive and kicking (a per latest reports, Manila has a higher chance this time to enter the SuperBowl, i hope Manila L2 will come as expected yahoo!!). Kudos to the management for that (sorry guys, if u knw what i mean). Yes, they did have their shortcomings, but they did the best out of a bad situation. So lets not blame CL, Sony Manila mgmt, but blame it on Sony itself for not fulfilling the promises they gave. Now to you guys there still working in this account, do your best, I hope the storm is over. It may be unfair for us all, but let's have an open mind for this. The first few days, I wasn't. I brought it all back and cursed myself for being so reckless. Now I did, I got to understand things more now, and that's good. I hope y'all will do the same change too. Rumors are rumors. Half-truths are not valid. Lets dig more before we conclude. I hope we're mature enough to understand more of these. Enough of this.Now, let us end this thread (uh uh uh, and not make aonther one bout this) and make this a closed chapter in CL-Sony's history, and work our best ok?! ngayon sinong matalinong tao ang magsasabi na makatarungan ang ginawa ng management sa mga agents, papasok ka without knowing na you are to be transferred to another account and i'm really curious kung bakit kailangan pa interviewhin, though different ang account pareho namang ClientLogic. my god, this agents have already passed ClientLogic interviews and exams kaya nga sila nandito di ba? much worse wala ka na palang trabaho pagdating mo dito. even if you look at your back guys, you wouldn't see a thing like this coming. aba, baka ikaw o ako na ang sumunod. and believe me it's really not about the numbers and quality, they'll rip off whoever they can.

kaya ingatan niyo ang mga bibig nyong mga babae, alalahanin niyo na ang nag-interview at nagpa-exam at tumanggap sa ClientLogic sa mga taong minamaliit niyo ay siya ring nagpa-exam, nag-interview at naawang tanggapin kayo.

kung hindi kayo makaramdam ng awa at pagkahabag sa mga taong nalipat, at least man lang maawa kayo sa mga magulang nila na matatanda na rin siguro at naghirap na maitaguyod sila, nagbibigay ng allowance para makahanap ng trabaho ang anak nila.

actually sa ibang call centers what they do is ililipat ka ng account. yan naman ang dapat inaalagaan ang agents nde basta tatanggalin ng walang dahilan. baka kasi sila madali something to do with the labor code pero alam mo naman sa pinas hanggang walang nagrereklamo lulusot. sana wag tayong maging selfish isipin rin natin ang mga taong nakapaligid sa atin nde porket nasa management ka nde mo na iisipin ang mga "frontliners natin" sila ang bread and butter ng company. kung ala kayong agents ala i mamanage ang mga matataas na ops people.

First of all, i'd like to say that everyone from the management did their part well but doesn't taste good to all. Nung una talagang nakakainis at talagang pakiramdam ko ay napaka- bobo ko talaga at isa sa mga bottom agent. Pero after i found myself and after I ask the expert advise of my sister (who is currently working as level two supervisor in other call center which i believe is better than CLIENT LOGIC!!) Sto. Tomas hails private sector's support to Pinoy workers
August 2, 2002
Labor Secretary Patricia A. Sto. Tomas today commended the private sector for helping to attract and stimulate more employment and job-friendly investments and reinforce the country's economy.

She also cited the private sector for helping to promote the best qualities of the Filipino workers to the world and ensure job-friendly investments that would see the continuing use and application of their talents in crucial industries here and abroad.

Sto. Tomas paid a visit to one of the country's fast growing industries, considered as a "sunrise" industry -- the call center industry.

She seemed heartened that the company she visited - the Customer Contact Center, Inc. or "C-Cubed" of the Lopez conglomerate situated in the commercially burgeoning Eastwood park of Quezon City - hewed to labor regulations and requirements and showed the promise and potential of the industry.

Sto. Tomas was warmly welcomed and accompanied to a tour of the C-Cubed facilities by its top executives led by CEO Eckie B. Gonzales and Mr. Nathan Shapiro, general manager for operations.

The company attested that labor personnel inspected its worksite upon its request for an exemption from the Labor Code provision prohibiting night work on women workers.

Sto. Tomas, during her visit, said permission granted so far to firms that have applied for exemption from the women's night work prohibition have been granted as "we saw that they were willing to provide requirements" ensuring proper conditions for women performing night duties.

C-Cubed is so far one of only two firms in the call center industry granted permission by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on meeting its stringent requirements to ensure proper conditions, including safety, and the decency of women in night work.

During her visit, Sto. Tomas said the DOLE has treated the dilemma of the existing night work prohibition for women in the Labor Code by emphasizing the spirit of the law.
"It was in the 1970s that the law was passed and the world has changed. Unfortunately the law has not responded as fast, " Sto. Tomas stressed.

Nonetheless, Sto. Tomas said the DOLE responded positively, saying "we looked at the law in its spirit because we wanted to be able to afford our people as many opportunities as there are available in a more globalized economy."

Sto. Tomas said that to adapt to the demands and opportunities facing Filipino workers, as well as to cope and overcome the threats and adverse effects of globalization, the DOLE was necessarily engaged in an internal study to make the Code even more dynamic to the times.

She indicated that DOLE Undersecretary Lucy S. Lazo would convene a tripartite committee once the study is completed.

The DOLE's Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) earlier pointed to the dynamic potential of the Philippines to become the world's call center industry capital saying that the industry would generate as much as 24,000 jobs for Filipino workers in the next two years.

C-Cubed CEO Gonzales reinforced this in the briefing he gave to Sto. Tomas. He said the industry was doubling the number of "seats" indicating an increase in the size of employment every two years.

By 2008, Gonzales projected, the call industry in the Philippines could have more than 30,000 seats from less than 10,000 last year.

"Seats" are the internationally accepted measure or benchmark for the industry which operates on a 24-hour basis, with each seat entailing several shifts of 2 to 3 personnel.

Gonzales indicated the Philippines' capability to lead the global call center industry was mainly due to its labor quality including the english-language fluency of Filipino workers, multi-cultural flexibility and adaptability, and the ranking of the Philippines as the world's no. 4 in terms of knowledge workers.

He also cited the advantages the country's telecommunications and power infrastructure in the attractiveness of the country to the call center business which complements information and communications technology (ICT).

He appraised Sto. Tomas on the growth of C-Cubed itself - exemplifying an outstanding call center company only one year after it started its operations and was granted by the DOLE the exemption which allowed its women workers to undertake night duties.

He said that the company now operates 400 seats on the domestic front alone with many seats covering its international operations. Its significant accounts include Chevron Texaco, the world's 3rd largest energy company, Sony, JVC, and others.

Sto. Tomas expressed the hope that the call center industry and its stringent employment standards would not only cater to the graduates of the larger, high standard schools, but eventually on a wider scale to share the opportunities to the graduates of other universities.

She indicated the TESDA, the DOLE's skills standards agency, was now engaged in helping to ensure skills and standards for the various employment requirements of the call center industry in the Philippines.

I was just browsing through the anime forums when I happned upon this thread... I was once a Sony agent too, Wave 2 to be exact... and I feel somewhat bad for Client Logic's Sony account even though we didn't exactly part in good terms ...had a hard time getting along with my then-rookie coach Delima back then... I look back at my time with CL fondly because this was my very first job, and although I only "endured" 4 months before going on AWOL in September 2004, I will never forget the good people there... like coaches Peter, Dahlia and Mike, my former PS Joanna (very helpful girl, hope you are ok somewhat), and of course Vince Fortuna. Sigh, I remember the days when I tried to do an FFR on my own heheh... and the agony of setting up a box order for a laptop... sheesh.

Looking back, I foresaw the problems CL was going to have with the account, more people were going in than the people that were resigning/terminated, but for some reason they still keep on hiring people ^^a kaya naawa ako sa mga natira sa Sony acct, maganda yung account nung umpisa, pero nung lumaon naging totoo ang worst predictions ko. I'm just glad I got out of there when things were still somewhat ok. I'm working for a VERY stable callcenter now, good pay, great staff, and in April i'm going to be a team leader na. ^_^ I got out because Coach Delima, quite frankly, didn't know what she was doing. I had 7 years worth of actual computer experience under my belt, assembling and installing/configuring both hardware and software, and here comes this new coach na biglang nagmarunong >.< Kaya umalis ako.... and also because I can't tolerate Sony computers anymore. NAPAKASIRAIN ng VAIO na yan... just got out of the box may sira na agad.... daming nagrereklamo. Maganda nga design, ***** naman quality. Ang nakakatawa pa, di ka pa pinapahawak ng VAIO. XD Kala mo nanakawin eh, kailangan may kasama kang coach para lang hawakan mo yung VAIO. Akala mo sisirain eh, eh **** ikaw nga gumagawa niyan natural alam mo kung paano gawin kung may nangyari nga. And one more gripe that I had with the company is that they were forcing us t troubleshoot DVGate, SonicStage and all those Sony-specific software without even proper trainng on it. Hell I don't even know what the fcuk it looks like, yet I'm relying solely on KANA to troubleshoot it... and 99.9% of the time wala sa KANAyung solution. Haaay.... kainis tlaga. Kaya kapag may tawag ako nun tungkol sa mga software na yan, escalate agad to Buffalo! XD Bahala na sila doon.


... kaya I feel for the guys still at CL. Kung nagtiis ako diyan siguro isa ako sa mga na-transfer o na-layoff na. Kaya kung sa tingin nyo malabo na ang future niyo sa Sony, resign na habang hiring pa yung mga callcenter. I also recommend that you try other accounts other than tech support ones. Madali lang yan, and the pay will be more likely than not better than CL's.

Goodluck nalang sa mga naiwan, and I'll always have a soft spot for CL people whenever and wherever I'll meet them. ^_^ Marami pang trabaho diyan, wag magtiis kung di mo na masikmura.

Maybe it's time for me to share what i know, what I belive is true and info about what's happening and why is that there's a lot of Mushroom appearing Call Centers here the Philippines. Hey Guys before I posted these message I carefully evaluated what are to best words that I must use in order for me to give a very helpful info and not a theoretical conclusion (as I believe it's helpful, accurate and factual and informative). :no:

We are very lucky that Americans and other Foreign Investors choosed us as one of the service provider for this kind of business. And in return we are very helpless with this situation coz' most of us didn't know what's the otherside the faces of our American Bosses. Do you know what is the real score about these blessings that we have from this industry? FYI, we only have life saving money as our salary from them.

According to the Father of my friend's classmate in U.P. Diliman (Former Government employee with position/title of Information Staff and Supervision Officer of Former Vice-President and Sec. of DFA Teofisto Guingona), the Call Center Industry in our beloved country is one of the product being sold to american investor/ capitalists and other foreign oppurtunist. Hard to believe that we have no knuckles to punch them off about their taking advantage in our weakness. We even didn't noticed that this betrayal of rights happened even before Guingona's Time as Vice president of our Country and as the Sec of the DFA.

His father shouted this very confidential matters coz he agree with the postition and stand of his former superior. According to him, the negotiation about the cost of labor, benifits and other Employment Rights for Filipino who will be hired by these company was manipulated by our Govt's Executive branch, the reason why? We don't know? Maybe our Country's Executive happened to consider only the monetary benefit from this Industry offered by foreing Economic Invaders. Our helpless savior, Teofisto Guingona during that time was the Sec. of Foriegn Affairs and as one of powerful decision maker about Foreign Policy, tried to stop this LABOR BARGAINING and he tried to protect the dignity and rights of Filipino Professionals and Bachelors to be used as a "DUMMY" service provider with this kind of bussiness, he even tried to go against the different Military excercises with them with our Armed forces. As, a part of intelligence of the mother country of these company, they donated a lot of 'garbage' warfare equipment in our military and Corruptable Funds in our budget so that we cannot say NO if they ask favor in our government. The term dummy was used because of the helpless situation that each Filipino Professional and Bachelors (FPB) who will be hired by this kind of job may face future Labor Discrimination, Job Instability and even hard to accept that our services is cheap even the level of performance is the same with theirs. :diablo:

To elaborate further, as a part of the American Economic Invasion and economic manipulation, they can cease the entry of calls for Filipinos and they can lower down the volume of call for Philippine Call Center location. The primary reason why are our Foriegn Bosses (Mother/ Head Location and/or Call Center Clients doing these action is because they are not comfortable with this kind of performance from us (and in reality it's a good performance) and Americans and/or other Foreign Call Center Agents' performance level must stay on the top level, in other words they don't want us to grow for our own and they love seeing us as a slave.

How I wish U.S. Senator John Kerry won the last U.S. Presidential Race so that he can cease the domination of American and other Foreign players with these business, and we can compete with them and we can even try to win the bidding of SONY Account as a Filipino Call Center with World Class Service!!! If you consider the fact that they are extracting our country's riches with manpower, you'll ganna hate who owns the call center you are working with. In addition, Country Presidents of these foriegn Call Centers are Dummy Filipino Representative and they just like to convince us that Filipino are treated equallly with the representation of these dummies!!

These Information were carefully shared to you, and just like to give you the REAL SCENARIO in the Philippine Call Center Industry or maybe what's really happening and what runs on their mind as they use us to dig gold for them!!! :x But don't worry guys we still have something in return, we can call ourselves FREE SLAVE with decent Jobs!! You can also notice that our hero Mr. Teofisto Guingona decided to resign from his postion because his powers can do nothing to help us and I believe that he really tried to raise the rights Filipinos with any kind of harrassment from foreigners.

I was part of the CL once. Ill share everything I know. Ill address some exaggerated (there is some truth it) and false (a product of gossip) issues provided I will see this thread come alive in the next few days.

To start things off...

Resignation ng mga coaches, Im sorry to say, the golden age of the account has passed when the great coaches back then left because they could no longer stand the stink of the tyrants with their cronies.

There was a group of dedicated coaches back then, who were, yes, strict, but fair. You will see them huddled downstairs sharing cigarettes like brothers and exchanging notes on how to better handle their teams. Believe it or not they always thought of your welfare. Some paid a high price for it and some are still suffering. If you guys werent allowed on breaks, some of them will not take their breaks either. I hope you noticed that as well.

The tyrant preferred followers and cronies (who fill their ears with "ice monster" honey and gossip), not leaders who could question their misplaced authority. I hope the newly promoted OMs with exceptions will not go down this path. I was informed that a certain lady OM is on her way to the path of damnation. I could be wrong. She used to be a very nice person. As to the new coaches, only when you challenge, what you are forced to swallow will you become "T"rue "L"eaders.

So far I have not seen any spark of brilliance with the new coaches. There is hope though. I taught some of them! :)

As to the predicament that is called Sal... Ill take that up when I see that this thread will live.
