Bait pa si OB & Pedia! 17k nga lahat (2days)!
OB ko si Dra. Socorro Zamora, sked nia is Mon-Sat 9-12noon. Pag saturday grabe blockbuster!
Bait si dra. :) minsan nga lang mabilis lang yung checkup ko. di naman kasi maselan pagbubuntis ko pero syempre 1st baby kaya marami din questions. kaya you have to ask her...sumasagot naman siya..hehe. siguro nga kasi madami siyang patients palagi. yun lang comment ko, pero mabait siya saka gentle, me pagka-mother figure ba? di ka pa tatagain. *okay*
;) Hope this helps!!!

Yung friend ko nanganak dun last October 2. Schedule CS. Charity case yata. Ang package is 30K. Less Philhealth, around 20K+. So wala kang babayaran na PF. Hospital bills lang.
Hi!tanong ko lang kung paano mag-apply ng charity case sa MMC. this is my 2nd pregnancy. CS ako sa 1st baby ko...malaki din ang nagastos ko sa 1st pregnancy nsa 60k+ net of philhealth. medyo practical na ako now since lalo na hirap ng buhay ngayon..Sana matulungan mo ako. Thanks in advance...

Yung friend ko naka-avail kasi maliit sweldo ng asawa nya and wala syang work.

Hi, i just want to share something! I'm 9 weeks pregnant and June 2009 ako manganganak. Kanina lang kami ngpacheck up sa Medical Center Manila. Since tight *** budget namin we went to the OB-OPD of Medical Center sa mga residents doctor dun. Mabait naman at accomodating *** nagcheck sa akin and facilities of the hospital were all new pati mga equipments. Yung quote sa akin dun pag normal delivery 12k lahat na yun and pag CS 22k to 25k yun nga lang u don't have any permanent o.b. Sa ward ka magstay pero 6 lang kayo sa isang room and I think aircon nmn yung room.
What do u think guyz? okay b pag resident dorctor?
kasi okay n skin *** hospital eh kasi malinis at bago yung mga equipments sa medical center.
But if anyone here knows an o.b. in medical center pareply nmn po sa post ko bsta po yung affordable yung PF nya. hehe! :)
Thanks in advance! ;)
Hope you'll answer my question. Thanks in advance. God bless!!

Hi everyone! Just gave birth last 17 Nov at Asian Hospital via c-section.
For those who are curious, here are the charges:
OB Gyne - 60K
Anes - 18K
Pedia - 8.5K (inclusive of Hepa B vaccine)
Hospital Bill - 60K
Total - 146.5K
I got admitted 10AM of Nov 16 and went straight to Genesis Center sa Triage. Dito magse-stay during 1st and 2nd phase of labor. Ang fee sa Genesis center is the daily rate of your room. So ward lang ang kinuha namin para mura (P600/day) since wala naman magse-stay dun sa room. Pag di ka kumuha ng room when they admit you sa Genesis Center, they will charge you per hour which is P2K daw.
When I gave birth on Nov 17, 4:42 AM, sa ward na muna kami pero nag-request na kaming ilipat sa standard private (P2,750). Ang hirap sa ward lalo na if you're going to breastfeed kasi every 2-3 hours dadalhin sayo ang baby mo. Since ward yun, madaming tao. Heaven!!! Nov 20, 11AM, we were discharged.
So they had to give me anti-allergies via IV which is expensive. Also, I was diagnosed with severe UTI so may antibiotic na binigay sakin via IV na mahal din.
KT018, rooming-in of baby means sa room mo na dadalhin ang baby after you give birth and hindi sa nursery. This is not a good idea lalo na for a 1st time mommy and kung CS ka kasi you need to lie down and di ka makakagalaw coz masakit tahi mo. So di mo rin maalagaan ang baby mo. Better na nasa nursery nalang muna sya wherein the nurses can change the diaper, give your baby a sponge bath - basically, take care of your baby.
Ang mahal sa asian but every centavo is worth it. Hindi ako nagsisisi na gumastos ako lalo na at 1st time ko manganganak and 1st time ko ma-o-ospital. Naunahan lang ako ng natakot but it's not as scary or as painful as I imagined it to be.

Dec 12, 2008, 08:37 AM
Delisyus, sinabi mo pa! But we were already expecting that kind of amount kasi yan naman ang quotation sa amin ng OB and ng financial consultant ng Asian.
Hehehe!

Lolita... mahal nga ang PF mo kasi nga nde ka CS (kaso nga kasi nagka-complications ka)... grabe ang inflation ng costs no? pero at least safe ka na now... kaya nga kami talaga target namin is P200k for the next baby's delivery kasi who knows talaga how much the fees have escalated by the time mabuntis/manganak ako ulit...

gave birth last tuesday at The Medical City. you need to deposit 20K upon admission, at least that's what my hubby paid. paid a total of about 80+K all in all, inclusive of PF (OB, Pedia and Pediatric Urologist - had my baby circumcized) and all procedures. philhealth for NSD is only 2500. found out that i can also claim for my baby, including the circumcision procedure... so refund nalang yun. :D have to file another claim though.
overall, ok sana, pero parang hindi worth the money. i brought home a lot (if not all) of the stuff we paid for (pillow, bedpan, etc). my hubby even filled a bottle with sterilium (that's the hand sterilizer/ sanitizer surgeons use kasi). hehe. medyo kakainis lang magbayad sa medical city. especially if you don't check or monitor your SOA prior to discharge.
there was an american in line sa billing that kept complaining, kasi his bill reached the 200K mark. sabi pa nya, he's afraid to sneeze kasi TMC might charge him for tissue. :bop:
oh well. at least tapos na. ibang kalbaryo naman. :D

Pillow? May bayad? Grabeh!!! Your 80K bill ba is for Normal Delivery? Private room na ba ito?
Sa Asian Hospital naman you pay for the green plastic that looks like a kidney, for the cotton balls, diapers, etc. Ang dami din nauwi ng baby namin from the hospital. May mga freebies pa like Dr. Edwards na sterilized water, diaper, etc.
Downpayment at Asian Hospital is 50% of expected hospital bill so we paid 30K when I was admitted.

Thanks sa Lolita. Pero nun check ko si Dra. Vergara hindi sya accredited ng Medicard. Sayang din kasi libre ang Consultation. I'm 6weeks pregnant. Still looking for a good OB na under ng Medicard. nakaka 2 OB na ako pero hindi ko sila type yung una nagmamadali tapos kaya *** issue ng issue ng medical certificate e P 100 ang isang medical certificate. Tapos itong 2nd ang sungit naman. Wha!! Hinahanap ko tuloy ang OB ko sa 1st baby ko that is 6 yrs ago. If alam nyo naman Si Dra.

Delisyus, they gave me 2 Dr. Edwards bottled water (1 big and 1 small). There were also Huggies Toiletries and 1 diaper. There's this other freebie but I forgot what it was.
Yes, the diapers na Drypers hindi free. You will really take home yung hindi nagamit ng baby mo. Even the cotton buds and cotton balls and gauze. Ang weird nga coz these items are still unopened. Sana di nalang nila ako chinarge for those and di nalang din nila pinauwi.

I'm also looking at Marikina Valley Medical Center, kasi affiliated dun doctor ko, Dr. Marina Alcalde, who is also under Medicard, for those who are looking :-) pero Saturdays lang sya (baka magkita kita pa tayo dun, mga sis hehehe).
I called to ask about their room rates. If I remember correctly, 1,500 yung smaller private, 1,600 yata yung bigger private. I don't know lang kung magkano magiging PF ni Dr. Alcalde pag sa MVMC na ako nanganak kasi noong first two ko sa Jose Reyes, less than 30k and CS!

^^^grabe hidden charges no? thanks to all of you, i checked my bills. kaso pag naipasa na sa billing, di na daw nila maibalik (according to the nurses :bop: ) kaya important to use the bill checking facilities before discharge. sigh. i was charged for the perilite, but i never had the chance to do it. dami kasi nanganak the day before me, kaya ang daming gumagamit. but for a hospital like TMC, you'd think they'd have a lot of stuff, kaso recovery room lang nga, kapos pa, what more the other stuff? grrr.
pero sa gloves, wala akong masabi. :bop:

hi everyone!
ako nanganak sa makati med last dec. 3, 2007. what i like about makati med is that they are so patient- centered. the nurses, doctors, ladies in mustard collored uniforms are very friendly.
eto breakdown ng stay ko for 3 days:
Deposit: 20K
OB pf : 60K
anesthesiologist -- the poging gerry de jesus - 25k. he's such a good anesthesiologist, wala akong naramdaman nung pinashrimp position ako, tapos di ako nagsuka sa recovery room. or gwapo lang talaga siya. Tipong habang inaie ba naman ako, sabi niya... "Hi Im Dr. Gerry De Jesus, and I'm your anesthesiologist." syempre di ko na nafeel ang ie sa sobrang kilig heheheh
pedia - 8k
hospital bills - 20K+.
all in all, mga more or less 120-130K ang nagastos ko. cs kasi e. tapos small private yung room.
hay.

I gave birth sa Chinese sa dalawang anak ko, Normal delivery pareho and our family OB is Dra. Valen-Co... super galing na OB sya. all my titas sa kanya din nagpapacheck.
I had my first son in 2001, nagastos namin all in was around 18K semi-private na yung room (2 beds)and we stayed there overnight lang kasi 4hours lang ako nag-labor and no complications naman.
I gave birth to my 2nd son in 2006 naman.
The difference lang with my 1st delivery, this one lasted for 24hours. wala pa kasi contractions pero 4cm na ako when we got there and ayaw pa ako induce ni doc til mag Dec 18  gusto yta sakto sa duedate na sinabi nya. hehe. 4am induce na ako and gave birth at 7:55am din.
Anyway, we spent around 27K all in na. and New-private yung room ko and stayed there for 2more days...bale 3days kasi kasama yung time na naglelabor pa ako. so from dec 17-19 yung room.
And check your bills for the things na akala nyo freebies. kasi we had freebies as well (that's what i thought) din from huggies, 2 bottles of dr. edwards, etc aside from the palanggana with the toiletries.
but then I do keep all my bills even from the first delivery i had (nasa baby book lahat un) and was checking on it just last week to see detailed charges and how much we really spent kasi I'm also 7months preggy right now and saw na may bayad pala lahat nung akala ko freebies . kasi they give seperate receipts for each meds, equipments, etc they used on you. so check ko lahat, detailed din yung huggies, dr. edwards, etc.
************************************
this pregnancy dito na ako nagpapacheck-up sa friendly care masinag and my OB is great. si dra. de Villa, magaling sya and kasi accredited din ng intellicare. ang problem lang yung pinakamalapit na hospital dito na accredited ng intellicare w/c is antipolo med yata e madami nagsasabi hindi masyadong maganda facilities. yoko naman ng ganun kasi I could get a better service and facilities sa same price or less (compared sa CGH ha).
My choices ngayon, UERM, Delgado or Polytechnic.
Last saturday I had spotting til now actually and yesterday we went to Makati med kasi dito pa sa antipolo OB ko so emergency dun muna kami sa mkti med since nandun kami sa in-laws ko since friday and nag inquire ako magkano manganak dun. and the doc sd 80K and take note....PF plng nya un...wala pa hospital charges and pedia, etc. pag all in ususally nasa 120-130k daw magagastos namin pag walang complications ha and normal delivery un. e mukhang complicated pa tong pagbubuntis ko na to. I don't know why kasi never naman ako nagkaproblem sa pregnancy ko sa dalawang boys ko, ngayon lang ako nagspotting and frequent contractions. They gave me bricanyl and had me for this Non-stress test sa delivery room...yun pa lang we spent P2500 already yesterday. ni hindi man lang ako ni-IE nung doc to find out if nag open cervix ko kaya ako nagspotting. basta after the procedure when the contractions stopped, pinauwi na ako, no advise whatsoever kung ano na gagawin ko next. I just called my OB dito antipolo to tell her what they did and she just told me to rest and continue taking duvadilan till my nxt check up with her w/c is tomorrow.
My husband told me na kinausap daw sya ng mom and dad nya about kung san ako manganganak and when he told them nga na hanap pa kami ng hospital na mas makakatipid kami and malapit, kasi budget namin nasa 40k lang, max na siguro 50. kasi 11k lang ang rereimburse ng intellicare for normal delivery and 15k for CS, we have money sa savings account w/c is not much, hindi ko pa alam how much mababawas sa SSS at philhealth. im not working pa right now kasi naka LOA ako till i give birth on March. yoko din naman masagad ang savings namin, may anak din kaming nag-aaral. nagalit daw dad nya and told him na we should not think about the money but instead my safety and the baby's lalo na first apo ni na girl and complicated nga pregnancy ko and may threat of pre-mature labor pa. They wanted me to give birth sa medical city or sa Makati med and they would shoulder everything na sosobra sa budget namin. I know money is no object siguro sa parents nya pero syempre nahihiya din naman ako sa kanila. As much as possible gusto ko kami mag-asawa magbayad lahat. If they want to help with the gastos ok lang sakin but not that much siguro. like for example if makati med P130,000. nasa 80K din sasagutin nila kung less yung 50k namin mag asawa, that's still too much.
if they would insist, san ba cheaper, makati med or medical city? are there any good hospital around makati or mandaluyong na maganda pero reasonable naman charges. sa makati kasi kami mag-stay sa in-laws ko pag kabuwanan ko na.

doctors will base their PF sa room na kinuha nyo.

yeah, yun na nga din. and sometimes it helps pag naging friend mo na yung OB. kasi *** fellow airsofter ko she was able to haggle her OB's PF down to 50%. 40k yata pf ng doc nya sa medical city and pumayag na 20k nlng so they spent around 40k daw lahat na...pero that was 5 years ago pa.

Hi everyone! happy new year!
I am 6 months pregnant and due first week of april. Naka 3 doctors na kami ng husband ko looking for a hospital we can afford without sacrificing too much on quality of service. *** unang doctor ko accredited sa polymedic/vrpmc hospital sa edsa mandaluyong and holy trinity hospital sa sta. ana. she quoted P35-40k kung normal and P45-50 kung cs, my other doctor is accredited sa medical city, she quoted P47k for normal and 70k for cs. lahat sa ward lang and less pa ang philhealth. Over the long weekend i went to see Dr. Juanita Lee of Lourdes hospital sa sta. mesa. i read sa mga previous posts na mura daw sa kanya. True enough she quoted P30 approx for normal and P45 for cs. Malamang sa lourdes na nga ako manganak. Does anyone here have any experience manganak sa vrpmc/polymedic?

i asked my OB kung san magandang hospital na pwede nya ako paanakin na accredited din sya, she said though guest doctor *** sya pwede sya sa Delgado, and she said gagastos kami around 35-45k and that's for private room na and around 80k for CS. not bad to think na Delgado clinic is a good hospital especially when it comes to maternity services.
Before kasi kami lumipat ng Chinese kay doc Valen, sa delgado clinic talaga ang family OB namin since 1985 til 1992...lahat ng tita ko dun nanganganak and talagang ok yung service and hospital. Till my tita had a very bad experience nung 1992 yata un, that's the time lumipat na kami sa chinese.
I believe what happened before naman sa tita ko wasn't anybody's fault so I think I can fully give my trust to delgado clinic and dun na lang ako manganak.

I gave birth nung 2003 in lourdes hospital (sta. mesa) and my OB was Dra. Juanita lee, I was CS then, nagkaron ng complication yung baby ko, I stayed for 5 days and baby stayed for another 2 days. nagastos ko around 30thou, pero kung walang complications *** baby less pa, mura pa that time.. Now I'm preggy again, 4 months, I'm currently in baguio but planning to give birth in Manila and go back to dra. lee, mejo mahal kasi dito sa baguio.. PF before ni dra sa cs was 3k, since it's 2009 I checked this web kung tumaas pa, it did, but still it's a good deal. Mahaba talga pila sa kanya, I remember before 1st time ko 1 andun na ako, then mag start ng 4, grabe matatawag na ako mga gabi na, then I started coming ng 4pm kasi I know araw araw lagi sya may pinapa anak so I know it won't start at the said schedule, but she was really good, and I know she still is, she's very gentle and sweet, she knows exactly what she's doing.. she's a very respected doctor sa lourdes, if the nurses find out that you're Dra. Lee's patient, talgang super asikaso ka nila. Nice din ang room, *** bed ng magbabantay sayo kama talga, unlike sa ibang hospital bench lang, so talgang both you and your companion are comfortable enough to stay in the hospital for few days, oh yeah ,malinis din ang operating room nila and *** labor room. Mura sya kasi it runs by nuns, and mayari ata talga ay madre. Before ang check up fee 50 bucks, i read tumaas ng 200, but it's all worth it, and super tyaga lang talga sa pagpila sa clinic nya, gang labas ng room ang pila and hallway.

oh yeah it's better na mag pa schedule ka na for next appointment mo before ka umalis sa clinic ni dra lee, well sabihin ng sec you have to call, so better call the day after, kasi if you'll call ng 3 days before your said appointment baka nasa pang 200 list ka na, so kunwari ngayon ka pumunta sa clinic, then sabihin ni dra see her sa feb 12, pag uwi mo sa house kinabukasan tumawag ka na and mag pa sched. Before masungit sec ni dra, siguro kasi ang daming patient, kaya mas maganda kaibiganin din *** sec nya, I don't knw kung sya pa din, just give some food, just be thoughtful enough i guess, ganun naman pampalambot ng puso sa mga filipino right :heartbeat::):)

BTW, if you're a big fan of cardinal santos you can go to Dra. Agdamag. She's one of the best OB there. I found out lang din na OB sya ng wife ni ejercito ba un basta one of the estradas na magkapatid.. nakasabayn ko kasi sila, pero syempre pinag stay sila sa isang room, VIP treatment, and may mga iabng artista din na sya ang OB.. mabait sya. masungit lang mga sec nya, pero pag kinaibigan mo naman ok anman.. mahaba din pala pila kay Dra. Agdamag, so better pa schedule ka ng maaga, and before ka pumunta tawag ka muna kung pang ilang pateint na..
Add ko lang din sa Lourdes Hospital, before everyday nag visit yun director ng Lourdes which is a nun, then sa umaga yun nurse papasok sila sa room to check kun malinis yun room mo, pag may nakita silang plastik sa sahig sabihin nila pakitabi or pakilinis yun room kasi darating yoong madre na may ari, bibisita.. so I dont know ngayon kung ganon pa din, so talgang malinis sila.. it doesnt mean na mura ang lourdes hindi maganda, yun kasi normally ang impression dba, as long as mahal meaning maganda, pag mura meaning pangit.. sa lourdes kasi may ari madre kaya di sila garapal sa pagsingil, more on tulong ginagawa nila. I really recommend lourdes.. whats the use kasi kung sa mahal ka mag give birth, some people kasi nag show off sa bibisita sa kanila, or pag mag kwentuhan sila ng friends about kung san pinanganak anak nila they can brag about it, when in fact it really doesnt matter, as long as lam mo naman na malinis yun hospital like lourdes, and comfy din naman ang kama, and besides ilang days ka lang dun, better save your money sa future ng anak mo or bday ng anak mo or binyag or in case of emergency na magkasakit anak mo, dun ka bumawi.. and besides I know a lot of rich women na matipid who give birth in lourdes.
anyway just my 2 cents

how much na ba sya ngayon? before kasi If I remember it well, she quoted me ng mga around 30-40 thou and normal delivery.. then sabi nya kung sa delgado daw, since affiliated sya dun mas mababa, mga I think nasa 20 thou.. and that was like year 2001 and 2003.. so what I did was, since nagtitipid ako nun, for 8 months and 2 weeks sa kanya ako nagpa alaga ng two babies ko, vitamins adn everything a pregnant woman needs.. then 2 weeks before ako lagi manganak lumilipat na ako kay dra. lee sa lourdes.. which dra. agdamag understands naman.. for she's one of the best sa cardinal, and the last time I went to her was nung last year summer, I had a mole kasi, so from baguio I went down to manila para sa kanya mag pa check up, then I went for an ultrasound sa cardinal, then of the staff there asked me my OB was I told her the name then she said agdamag is one of their best OB daw in cardinal.. but actually *** mole ko sa uterus hindi maganda *** pag ka advise nya, she thinks that it needs to be removed, then syempre bata ko pa para mawalan ng uterus, so my mom brought me to her OB sa quirino hospital ata in katipunan, then that's when the OB there found out na it doesnt need to be removed, I just nee dto go thru another D&C, so na saved ako.. she's good din *** sa quirino, she's the director kasi ng hospital na un.. pero I'd still recommend lourdes hospital kay dra. lee..
Oh yeah, just want to add, si dra. lee will ease your fear pag CS, I remember kasi nung ni emergency CS na ako, tapos kinakabahan ako, ginawa nya while may naka cover s kain, nagkukwentuhan lang sila nung kasama nya na nag operate sa akin, like parang they were just in starbucks having coffee, chatting, about life and stuff.. d ko actually alam na hinihiwa na pala ako, then after few mins "yan na ang gwapo naman ng baby" .. nanganak na pala ako =) .. basta trust lourdese hospital, since it runs by nuns, mas maganda dba, malapit sa dyos, feeling safe ka lagi =)

Hi Mommies,
Just gave birth last january 12 sa lourdes hospital sa sta mesa manila. My OB there is dra. catherine donato. pag nakita nyo sya di nyo expect na she do have 2 children na! haha.. ganda ng experience ko with her, CS ako pero nawala akaba ko nung pagkakita ko sa kanya sa OR, ganda kc nya! tsaka talagang very supportive sya together with the anesthesiologist all throughout the operation.. 62K ang nagsatos ko privaet room na po ito. I stayed there from jan 12 upto january 15.

Yung OB ko si Dra. Jocelyn Ong Sy sa Healthway Market-Market siya every Thursday till 5pm and Saturday 12pm. Magaling siya sa knya ako nagpa alaga. At first nagpa papsmear ako then i found out inflammed pala cervix ko so yun pinagaling muna tapos supposed to be raraspa nya ako pero alanganin kc nga irregular mens ko so pina take niya ako provera after ko mag take nun after one one reseta nya ako clomid very effective siya kasi wala pang 2 months na buntis na agad ako.

ako i gave birth sa FEU hospital in Fairview and i paid mga 100k to 120k,di ko na matandaan kase 2004 pa yun. CS ako and i stayed in a private room at c baby stayed in the nursery the whole time he's in the hospital coz they need to observe him dahil my congenital heart problem sya (anyway, that's a different story). pero i don't have PF's ( OB and pedia) coz the OB is hubby's aunt tapos c pedia naman family friend na kaya walang bayad tapos the anes naman half lang PF nya. i stayed in th hospital mga 5 days tapos si baby naiiwan for 2 days pa.

did anyone just gave birth or know someone who just gave birth in CGH? my due is on march, probably 14 or 21. just a little concern about my future expenses since i dont have income right now. my ob is dra.serrano, quite a good ob pero dami kasi questions ng mama ko. so baka lumipat nalang kami ng ob pero with the same hospital.. thanks..
I gave birth sa CGH December 2006 and we spent around 28K all in na. New private room na din yun. My OB was Dra. Valen Co, magaling yun. PF nya that time was 8K, (kasama na yun sa 28k na hosp bill namin) ewan ko *** if 8k pa rin kasi nung nanganak ako nung 2001 8k na PF nya e til manganak ako 2006 8k pa rin. kung malapit nga lang ako blumintritt dun ulit ako manganganak kasi mura. kaya lang Antipolo na kami nakatira kaya sa Delgado clinic na ako.
Sa Delgado naman ang estimate sa akin ng OB ko ngayon 30-40k all in na and private room na din. and since papa-ligate na din ako mga additional 10k daw aabutin.

i just gave birth at the Medical City last January 21 2009, my bill was a very shocking P83,000+ my oh my... it was just a normal delivery, i stayed in the hospital for 3 days at a standard room with ref. My baby has no complications. Here's the breakdown:
My OB's PF: 25000
Anesthesiologist's PF: 12500
Pedia's PF: 3500
Rest was for use of the labor room, delivery room, medicines, epideural etc.
Partida, we roomed in the baby ha. Grabe. Shocking talaga. This was my second time to give birth there. My first baby was born last September 1 2006, and i only paid around P32000 because i was covered by my mom's insurance. But i really liked it there. *okay* The nurses were very accommodating, i like the food (hehe). Highly recommended ko din yung OB ko. Her name is Dra. Dionisio. She's Dra. Rabanal. Neurologist din siya.
Worth it naman manganak dun sa Medical City. If every i'll be pregnant again, preferred ko pa rin manganak dun. Pero kailangan ng dibdibang pag-iipon. hehe

Hi, i just want to share something! I'm 9 weeks pregnant and June 2009 ako manganganak. Kanina lang kami ngpacheck up sa Medical Center Manila. Since tight *** budget namin we went to the OB-OPD of Medical Center sa mga residents doctor dun. Mabait naman at accomodating *** nagcheck sa akin and facilities of the hospital were all new pati mga equipments. Yung quote sa akin dun pag normal delivery 12k lahat na yun and pag CS 22k to 25k yun nga lang u don't have any permanent o.b. Sa ward ka magstay pero 6 lang kayo sa isang room and I think aircon nmn yung room.
What do u think guyz? okay b pag resident dorctor?
kasi okay n skin *** hospital eh kasi malinis at bago yung mga equipments sa medical center.
But if anyone here knows an o.b. in medical center pareply nmn po sa post ko bsta po yung affordable yung PF nya. hehe! :)
Thanks in advance! ;)

basta mommies/daddies... if you're going to make a deposit and unsure kayo if kaya ng available cash nyo...use your credit card na muna sa deposit
doctors expect their PFs to be in cash (exept yung covered ng HMOs)
and if enough naman pala yung cash nyo, you can easily just pay off what you charged sa card nyo so it won't incur interests

iyah_82, my sister underwent caesarian section this January 2009 in Chinese Gen Hospital. Dun cia sa old wing kasi me new wing (bldg) na ***. According to my family na nakavisit sa kanya, private yung room at malaki, with aircon (wala nga lang ref and TV) ang total bill ay 47k. They paid less than that (35k ata) kasi dineduct pa yung sa Philhealth. Pag dun ata sa new wing, additional of 9k ata yung bayad.
All praise pa mom ko sa Chinese Gen kasi malinis daw, 3x a day daw naglilinis ng room at kumukuha ng basura per room and with security guard per floor.

FGR,
I have no idea kung sinong best OB sa Makati Med. My hubby's cousin works as a nurse there and she mentioned yung OB ni Kris Aquino si Dra. Luna.
Iba-iba ata (not sure though) ang rate dun coz it depends sa PF ng OB. But when I asked my OB (Dra. Marinette Sto. Domingo) on the rates, she told me na 90k pag normal delivery while 120k pag CS.
Hope this helps.

For those mommies planning to give birth sa Delgado Hospital, share ko lang this info. I gave birth last Jan 23, normal delivery naman.I stayed there for 2.5 days, Hospital bills ko nasa 23K then my OB's PF-13K, pedia-4K,anes-3K. So total ko nasa 43K lahat. I stayed in a semi private room, okay naman yung service ang accomodation. If you want na magpa breastfeed sa baby, pupunta ka lang sa nursery room which is open for mommies 24 hrs for breastfeeding. You dont have to bring things for the babies, provided na nila yun(which is also included sa hospital bill), even yung going home outfit ni baby. At may kasama pang baby picture na naka frame. Madami ding items yung laman ng baby gift set.

hi FGR!
Siguro mga 100 - 140K sa MMC, including anesthesiologist, OB, pedia PFs tsaka yung hospital bill for a 3-4 day stay, may philhealth pa iyon. tapos under maxicare ako.
susme more or less mga 80% niyang 140k ay mga pfs. that was in december 2007 sana naman wag na magtaas.
nakapunta na ako sa package na room ng mmc, dun nanganak yung friend ko. it isn't bad as i expected. iba kasi ang expectations ko sa semi private. pero yung room, ok lang, walang ref at phone, at ang cr e common cr. pero may privacy naman though. tapos you have your separate door, akala ko curtains lang ang magseseparate sa neighbors mo e. basta mas maliit sa small private.
ako i had a tour before. ask na lang your ob para she can tell the folks upstairs to expect you for the tour. papakita sa iyo yung dr, yung rr (pag walang tao) tapos yung floor.
ok sa makati med, very friendly yung mga staff nila dun.

my wife gave birth in delgado last february 1. ok naman din, she stayed in the labor room from 1030pm to 530 am, and nanganak ng 8am.. ang feedback ko lang from her is that parang wala daw kapaki- paki yung residente sa loob ng labor room.. she was begging and begging for pain killers na at 4 am, and the resident was just asleep sa sulok ng room, and would look up from time to time and just say "mommy ok lang yan", and go back to sleep... i, on the other hand, was just in the hospital room, kasi bawal daw magstay sa loob ng labor room. funny pa, i told the nurses sa labor room to update me from time to time. awa ng diyos, buong gabi never ako inupdate. ako pa ang tumatawag sa kanila. and when i called the labor room at 830am, sabi nalang sakin "ay sir nanganak na po si mommy, di po namin nasabi, nasa nursery na po baby niyo". oh well. and my wife gave birth without them knowing what blood type ng wife ko. my wife didnt know her blood type, although they never checked or asked her (di ba dapat standard na alam ng hospital ang blood type para if ever kailangan magtransfuse?) for our next baby, will probably try out chinese gen or capitol siguro, since the prices sa delgado were pretty steep rin. spent 48K all in all (wala daw available na private room, so it was a choice between the semi private and the suite). we stayed there from january 31 1030pm to feb 3 11am. normal delivery.

Just wanna share our experience with MMC *my wife gave birth dec '08*
...if your labor day came in sa umaga/hapon, you're gonna have MAJOR issues sa room. Regardless if you're on package (50k) or Private (90k)
...my wife arrived at MMC around 830am...she popped around 850am...we only got our room (kahit nagdown na kame ng 38k for the semi-private room package) at 530 in the freaking afternoon.
...kelangan ko pa at ng MIL ko magwala sa frontdesk for them to provide us a room. Labo.
...the food offered sa semi-private SUCKS. Talo pa pagkain sa preso.
...if you are a PhilHealth member, don't expect much from them. We only got an astounding 2.5k discount, and I've been a member for like 5 years straight. Geesh.
Sorry for ranting.
Just wanna set some expectations if you guys decide to go with MMC.

Affiliate Hospitals Quirino Memorial Medical Center, The Medical City, Polymedic Boni.
Qoute nya skin: The Medical City Package P48,000 for normal and P70,000 for CS ward lang yun. Polymedic Package P38,000 normal and P60,000 for CS.
Last Sunday i went to north edsa the block sa healthway yung ob ni refer skin ng boss ko si Dra Arenas, super mabait siya at maalaga kahit first time ko sa kanya. Qoute niya skin for CS 19k apat na *** na doctors dun and 6k for hospital bill.
girlie11
Feb 24, 2009, 01:43 PM
iyah_82,
Make sure lang na wala na yung issue sa OSMAK about neonatal sepsis which causes death to infants if you want to use your yellow card.

Thanks Girlie! Actually I went their this morning lang. Ngayon nga mahigpit na talaga sila. hindi sila basta bsta tumatanggap ng new patient without a referral letter from your health center.

any feedback about VRP along Edsa aka Polymedic? My OB can accomodate me sa Makati Med or VRP lang. I told her na we're on a very limited budget. She recommended VRP but I'm a bit hesistant because it looks grungy from the outside.
and is makati med that expensive?

I gave birth at Capitol Medical Center just last week (Mar4)...and umabot sa around 68K bill ko.
Hospital fees (Private Room, Pharmacy, Lab, etc) = around 32K
- I stayed for 5 days in a small private room
- I had a variety of lab tests kasi I have GDM
- My baby's tests are already included (except new born screening and Hepa B vaccine)
- They encourage rooming in and breastfeeding..so on the 2nd day, nasa room ko na si baby :) super bonding talaga..kahit puyat :D
Professional Fees
OB-Gyne 20k (Worth it..ang galing nya)
Anesthesiologist - 6700 (super bait...considerate)
Pedia - 6500
Diabetologist - 4000
Capitol has great service, great staff. The doctors and nurses are all very accomodating...kaya it was not a scary experience for me there.

My wife just had CS with the best medical staff in Chinese General Hospital. The doctor is really great Dr. Cristina Lee. Consultation Fee is at 150 pesos/monthly visitation. They try to maintain their efficiency lalo na yung mga nurses at yung mga guards super corteous. God Bless.
Straightforward and super caring.

for the moms who gave birth already, how did you process your philhealth claims?
i read in their website that you can either have it deducted right away from your bill so long as you have the necessary documents to be presented at the billing counter or you can just go directly to Philhealth to have it reimbursed.
How did you do yours? sorry, i've been trying to call philhealth but nobody seems to be answering. thanks!

hello. Hope humabol ang reply ko.
Prior to my delivery, they took my blood sugar readings to make sure within normal range. Medyo mahal ang bawat reading (210 Php) so if you have your own glucosemeter kit, bring it. Makakamura ka. Kasi they would take your blood sugar every now and then.
My diabetologist, Dr. Fernando was not present during my labor/delivery but the staff contacted him to inform him na I am in labor. Yung mga residents yung dumalaw sa akin after ko mag labor to monitor my blood sugar (na biglang bumaba after I gave birth:) ). But on my second day, Dr. Fernando visited me with one of his associates.
Yup, may PF ang diabetologist. In the case of Dr. Fernando, 4K binayad ko. Kasi 1k ang singil nya per day of my confinement.
Hope this helps :)

guys just wanna ask if you can suggest hospitals where you delivered your child. My gf's OB at UST price is a little bit high for us. She's asking around 45k and thats for normal delivery. That's way too much and also my friends even told me na mahal yun! If you can suggest any good hospitals guys it would surely help. I have PGH, Delgado in mindun lang. Really? Ako Php2,500 lang na-less ng philhealth; normal delivery @ Delos Santos STI in QC. I stayed pa in the hospital for 1 week. Total bill ko ay umabot ng 80K.
Na-frustrate ako bigla sa philhealth kasi naisip ko lang mandatory ang membership if you are employed; kaltas agad sa sahod ang contribution every month. I have been employed for 3 years tapos ganun lang ang tulong na maibibigay nila!??
Is there a way to find out kung tama ang computation nila?

Hi,just want to share about the experience.
I just gave birth last April 6,2009 in Delgado hospital my OB was Dra.Agdamag. Medyo nabigla lang kami sa bill namin, kasi originally she quoted 40k-45k for nsd and around 65k for cs then less philhealth pa. And I have HMO card kasi and the limit was 30k so sabi niya konti nalang daw dadagdag namin for her pf pero included na daw lahat dun sa amount quoted. I only stayed for 2.5 days and to my surprise she was asking for an additional 21k. So, yun pa lang 51k na. On top of that hindi pa pala kasama yung hospital bill for my baby which is around 7k less philhealth na po yun. So, all in all we still have to cash out 28k. Talaga lang nabigla kame na ganun kalaki yung bill, napalaki ng difference from the amount that was quoted to us. All in all ok naman yung facilities ng hospital and *** baby ko and for the staff courteous naman sila, kaya nga lang we were in a tight budget kaya nga we chose her service eh kasi we thought it was the best option but apparently it was not.
*ont of philhealth
... as far as i know yung computation is based from the payments that was made from the last 6 months from the day of confinement. I've been a philhealth member for only a year but the deduction was around 6,5k. So important sin talaga yung summary of contribution.

My OB's PF for my emergency CS was P66K.

masakit yung IE kapag kabuwanan na. saka may konting sakit after delivery kasi may stitches sa loob at labas. pero on any other occasion, ok lang naman as long as you relax your muscles. may lubricant(?) din naman ginagamit to cover the gloves eh.

She's magaling I can tell you. Kilala ** sa mga ibang hospitals. Un lang dami ** customers or patients. ** lang ang nakita ko na maraming tao ang clinic due to her prowess. PF nya is 2k + 1k sa anaesthesiologist nya pag may philhealth ah ts sa pedia na c dr. Even acetone for my pedicure e binayaran namin. hahaha pero aun nga try mu din dun kc i can assure you mura na ** magagaling pa mga drs. Try mu search sa net c DRA. JUANITA LEE if you got doubts. i gave birth to my son at a lying in..well, kasi, kilala namin young RMidwife, (siya nga naglabas sa akin e, siya nagpaanak sa nanay ko):)and we paid for like 9-10K.ok na rin kasi the one who delivered, was not really the midwife but her hipag who is an OB Gyne.maganda rin kasi, pinagtiyagaan talaga ako.:)na feel ko lahat, as in.pati pagtahi. i was awake the whole time.good thing din kasi i saw my son and it was all worth it. *okay*two days ako naglabor, ni-normal pa ko. maganda pa din kasi pag normal delivery. healing time take only weeks, whereas CS, Months.
however, if you really wanted one in a hospital, i was said to prepare 35K for an epidural delivery at Alabang Medical.medyo katakot nga lang kasi hospital setup. lalo ako nenerbyosin, and medyo hindi sila pasensyosa, yung two days ko sa lying in, malamang, biniyak na ko sa hospital.
good luck and god bless sa delivery. tell her to always pray during the delivery a.

i gave birth at the medical city last dec 2008. My ob is dra. editha saludares (her sked is mwf 3pm to 6pm room 1203) super kind and motherly magalaga. I had a normal delivery but i chose to have continuous epideural kasi i believe mahina and pain tolerance ko or maybe i'm afraid lang din what to expect, if i can really bear the pain. my baby was also induced kasi due na sya. I was admitted morning of dec 1 i chose this date kasi it is the 1st day of the last month of the year maarte kasi ako dahil it's my panganay so yun lumabas ang baby ko ng 11:47 ng gabi. i was in labor almost the whole day and I was given the maximum shots of epideural which is 4. We stayed in a private room with ref kasi yung husband ko gusto nya may ref dahil konti lang talaga ang difference i think 200php lang. We went home afternoon of dec 4. Our bill went from expected 60,000php to exactly 100,000php. my ob's pf was 25k only plus 12500k to the anesthesiologist 3500 for the pedia (dra. cynthia gomez (tths schedule nya sa medical tower din same room as dra saludares 1203 11am to 3pm pedia na sya ng son ko since then super galing and pro breastfeeding din sya) the rest of the 100k is all the hospital may think of charging you (all you need daw). we'll the whole experience was great kasi you'll feel pampered pati si baby alagang alaga. mababait din ang mga staff nurses and resident doctors. kaya prepare talaga money before giving birth kasi mahal manganak thankful nga ako kay hubby kasi he is very concern sa safety namin ni baby kaya hands on sya sa pagpili ng hospital and ng procedure.

Medical City, Caesarean Delivery, Ward Package- Ganda naman ward nila - parang private room...total cost PHP 150,000.
The bill reached that high because I had to be treated for infection because I didn't know my water broke na pala 12-hours before actual labor. Trickles lang kasi.My antibiotics cost 5,000 per shot. Perhaps, if I had no infection, my bill would have been 100th or less only.

I wanna share my experience. I gave birth sa Hvill Hospital sa Montalban (Rodriguez), Rizal via C-Section. Got a Philhealth package. we spent 56K all in all including my OB's PF, pediatrician, anesthesiologist, mga ginamit nung operation, etc. I believe i was able to use about 9k of my philhealth. instead of my husband paying for the medicines in cash, may naioffer yung hospital na icharge na lang daw sa philhealth yun or something, i'm not really sure how that works, it was my husband doing all the transaction. hindi ko lang nagustuhan yung hindi daw pwedeng dalhin sa room ng mommy yung baby.

My OB's PF for my emergency CS was P66K.
hi lolita,
medyo mahal yun OB & anes fee mo, yun pf ko 40k lang then 10k un anes. I was asking for a disc sa ob ko, sabi nya mura na daw yun kahit pagtanong ko daw bakit sya pinaka maraming patient sa asian hehe, and that is true kasi 2 sila ng hubby nya then may asst ob pa so bale 3 docs sila nandun when I gave birth + yun anes pa pala. sa asian din yun, sya yun ob ni anabel rama I heard kasi sa the buzz nag thank u si ruffa kay doc aina. that was emergency cs din, btw di ka ba na charge sa genesis/delivery room? grabe wala ko masabi sa labor/delivery room ng asian ibang iba sya kala ko di pa delivery room yun, kasi parang suite sya di ba may sala & yun bed ang laki. hinahanap ko yun parang sa movie na may metal na taasan ng paa haha. kaya sobrang relax lang feeling mo di ka pa manganganak gawa ng ambiance ng room. then habang hintay nila labas si baby, 4 nurse yata yun naka standby lang sa room then super bait ng anes ko,and yun mag asawa na ob andun lang sila sa dulo ng bed nakaupo sa chair hintay si baby.tapos yun asst ob nasa side ko check nya yun monitor sabihan nya ko pag pwede ko na labas si baby, naka epid kasi ko di ko ramdam yun hilab. kaso si baby medyo matigas ulo ayaw nya lumabas hehe, kaya na emergency cs.habang nandun ako sa labor room grabe na feel ko gano ko ka bless ni god, kasi dami ko naririnig na not so nice exp when giving birth, lalo na sa fabella daw na share daw sa bed & hindi ka pwede isalang pag di pa daw nakalabas ulo ni baby huh! tapos ako nandun nakahiga ang daming nakapaligid na hosp staff sa sarili mong room, hay thanks god talaga hehe. super ok exp ko kahit cs,i never felt any single pain after the operation parang di ako nanganak.the next day nakalakad na ko which is bawal pa pala hehe.nakalabas pa ko hosp the next day with the hosp wrist tag on para mag withdraw sa atm hehe, tumakas kami sa basement parking ako sumakay then bumalik after mag ikot sa labas hehe. kaya sa kin lang kung napag ipunan nyo talaga, mag asian hosp na kayo.well trained lahat ng staff parang hotel guest yun treatment nila sa mga patient and super linis. never sila mag ulit lahat disposable, tig 1 box kayo ni baby ng gloves haha.everytime kasi na may gagawin sa yo or kay baby yun nurse kuha muna sya ng gloves dun sa box mo. sana man lang per pair na lang yun charges di ba kaso sop nila,1 box talaga kaya inuwi ko grabe 2 boxes of surgical gloves. yun food nila catered ng makati skyline, before pala mag checkout may free candle light dinner for 2 for u & hubby, then may rose sila before ka hatid sa car mo. feeling mo tuloy pwede ba next year ulit hahaha =)

If I were to give birth again, babalik ako sa Capitol...

Hi! Can anybody suggest a good OB in Asian Hospital including the cost of consultation fees etc? Kasi I plan to go there for my checkup. I haven't had my period for 4 weeks now so I'm sure positive talaga kasi regular naman period ko eversince. I'm still thinking whether to go there or sa DLSU medical center in dasma, cavite kasi malapit lang. I really need details kasi this is going to be my first pregnancy. I'm really excited about it and I'm taking folic acid na nga even if I haven't gone to a doctor. I really want to consult one na para I can take the right vitamins. I also want to know how much it would cost to give birth in Asian Hospital so we can prepare na. Thanks!

hi! si dra ocampo OB ko. gave birth nung Feb 2008. she's no-nonsense no? pero sobrang maasikaso nung pagkapanganak ko. talagang nambraso ng rooms kase chinese new year nung nanganak ako. at oo, sanay na yan kahit gaano pa ka-complicated yung pregnancy mo. ang dami niyang patients, grabe, kahit weekday or weekends.
nung nanganak ako, may maternity benefits yung HMO namin na up to 30k for normal eh. tapos 4 days ako nun. ang binayaran ko na lang yung bill ni baby. mga 10k for 5 days kase naka-bili light treatment siya. ako 4 days. sinagad lang kase wala naman akong babayaran sa room. nagpadagdag na lang si dok ng 15k cash sa PF niya. so parang 50-60k ang normal.

Malinis and newly renovated..parang private na din.. She delivered via Caesarian.. Thank God ..

My OB is Dra. Fe Macalintal-Vergara at Asian Hospital also. She charged me P60K for CS delivery and that's due to complications. She can go as low as P50K for CS. If normal, she charges P35-50K.
Regular consultation is P500.

Hi Amber08!
Brace yourself for the hospital expenses and PF in Asian Hospital. As far as I know, pinakamahal manganak sa Asian, Makati Med and Medical City.
At your beck and call ang mga nurses.
I gave birth at Asian last Nov08 via C-section and umabot ng P150K ang total bill namin.

Hello Everyone!
I'm expecting to give birth sometime early next year but me and my husband are already budgeting the funds for the delivery.
I read through the previous threads and I have a general idea about the cost of giving birth in Medical City. But I would like to know updated figures just in case anyone here gave birth there recently. :)
Can anyone tell me how much it would cost to give birth in THE MEDICAL CITY with a basic private room? I'm hoping for natural birth without anesthesia hopefully to save on costs. My doctors are all from the Medical City. I haven't gotten around to asking them about this.
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi everyone,
newbie here,... i am expecting to give birth last week of Sept this year... Planning to give birth at FEU-NRMF hospital sa Regalado, Fairview, Q.C.
Can anyone tell me how much it would cost to give birth at FEU-NRMF? Planning to have normal delivery with anesthesia...
Thanks! Appreciate all the help you could give...

Thanks! I decided to just give birth in DLSU Dasma early next year. May OB na kasi ako dun and it's a few minutes away from my house. I realized na mahihirapan ako kasi first pregnancy ko 'to. I might as well go somewhere near my house para madali lang for me pag dumating na yung delivery date ko and it would be convenient for my family members to visit me. My mom and bro were confined there before after they had their operation and okay naman. I've been going there for my health issues for years now and so far okay naman facilities and services nila. Next year, i'll update you on my delivery naman and the expenses. :)

affiliated ob ko sa st.lukes, delgado and delos santos... im settling for delgado dahil sabi nila ok din and cheaper than st.lukes.
my ob's having me prepare 80k for a normal delivery and 120k for cs.
im just wondering ganito ba talaga? or over chrged ako?
if so...
pwede pa ba ako mag palit ng OB if ever kahit na 5mos on the way na ako?
------
------
please help. this is my first baby kaya di ko pa talaga alam ang drill ng panganganak.
Thank you

Rate ata yun pang St. luke's. Sa makati med kasi ang rate nung OB ko nung dun pa ako nagpapacheck 90k for normal while 120k for CS. almost the same din daw sa asian hospital.

I'm going to give birth next year pa but I already asked Medical City to give me an estimate on how much it might cost. And yes, I am aware that its highly likely that the prices will increase from today to next year.
The Medical City have these things called 'Delivery Packages', which should really help the budget conscious parents. Please note that these packages include the following:
- Inclusive of Prof fees for Attending Physician & Anesthesiologist, Delivery Fee, Room & Board and limited supplies.
- Room & Board is ward accommodation max of 3-4 days depending on the package.
- Inclusive of anesthesia (epidural anesthesia will require an additional fee)
- New Born screening and hearing test for the baby.
- 24 hrs stay in the nursery
Professional Fee of Pediatrician.
Normal Delivery: 46,000++
Cesarean Delivery: 67,000++
The package is only available if you're going to get the Ward Area. If you want a private room, there are no packages available so chances are it might be double. Oh yeah...no relatives in the delivery areas.
Anyway, just give the Customer Service of Medical City a call. They're pretty helpful in answering questions regarding the general expenses. Pero mukhang ok naman yun delivery packages after seeing the rates of the other hospitals. And The Medical City is a very nice hospital. I've been hospitalized there na and I can say, maganda ang care dun. Madaming nag-papaanak sa TMC ngayon...no wonder maganda kasi ang package nila.

padaan lang po..
i used to gave birth to my daughter and we just pay 15k (kasama na ang mga gmot and etc.),and i'm cs,frankly, unlike to the other pexers here na magaganda ang pinanganakan ng baby nila (na it's private), i chose to deliver my baby in a semi private hospital,na pwedeng makakuha ng discount like sa gov (nilapit rin kasi namin sa counselor), it will help din kasi sa mga mothers na tulungan sila na magfully beastfeed sa mga anak nila, naaawa ako sa mga baby na hindi pinapadede ang mga anak sa mga mother nila, mas nakakatulong ito kasi to have bonding kasi to the mother and babies nila.(the government promotes the beastfeeding program sa kaligtasan ng mga baby paki basa nalang po ang forum na beastfeeding here sa P.E.)sa private hosp kasi malaki na babayaran mo,then on the other hand, tinotolerate nila ang mga moms out there na magbottle feeding.
i hope it will help, hindi naman papabayaan ng mga semi private or gov hosp both moms and babies.and mas maganda kasi you can save more.

hello!
im a newbie here.. just want to share. I gave birth last may 11 at Delgado Hospital. NSD(painless). We got small private room and stayed for 3 days. We were charged total bill of P47k less philhealth na which is P2500 lang. 25K PF ng OB, Pedia and Anaesthesiologist. Lagi may naglilinis. :) Food in the canteen is ok din, tasty naman sya.
