Effective Job Hunting

I'm planning to quit my present job to pursue another career path. Are there any tips or suggestions you can give me so that finding a new job will be as painless as possible?

Aside from jobstreet and trabaho.com, what other sites can I visit?

Is it true that looking for a job right now is very hard?

Well, Ada, since you are already in the IT field, I think that there are several IT and Web companies sprouting up here and there, it shouldn't be too difficult. I guess it's finding a good IT company to work for that is the problem -- This is all of course considering that you will remain in the same industry.

A little tip though would be to work on your cover letter as much as your resume. Since you don't have too much work experience yet, interest helps, and resourcefulness helps even more. If the company you are applying to sees that you have done your homework, and that you are well aware of who they are and what situation you are getting into should you be taken in, then that's a big plus.

work abroad... dami na masyado IT sa Philippines... sa ibang countries di masyado... sister ko IT sa Oz... she was tapped to work sa England... 38 pounds/hr... whew... sabi niya sakin 6 months experience daw laging hinahanap... tanung ko sa kanya ano ok na companies.. post ulit ako... :)
