cmon guys speak up... we havnt heard from you yet... care to tell us how you guys are called? i mean does your school have plans of joining the uaap? what will you be called then?

Yup Iam... infact Ive been researchinig here in our library about your school however cant get that much files since your school was just recently recognized... i mean you change from CRC to UA&P IN 1985 if m not mistaken...

Yeah, UA&P isn't really recognized yet. We're not in the same caliber as Ateneo or UP or La Salle yet. But we're getting there, just give it more time.
People perceive UA&P as a school for rich, dumb kids, and everyone thinks that it's soooo easy to pass all the subjects. But that's so not true! Not all students are filthy rich and a LOT are very smart. I know some who passed in the entrance tests to UP and Ateneo, but decided to go to UA&P because of the quality of its education. And boy, are the courses tough! I've been there for three years and I've been having a hard time. Sometimes, I'm even more harrassed than my friends in Ateneo and UP!
UA&P is known for being good in Economics and Communication. I'm sure we will get the recognition due us soon and be considered one of the best schools in the country.

Zen and snoc: thanks for the votes of confidence. I'm glad people are starting to see UA&P in a better light. Before kasi, people really looked down on the quality of our education. Good thing people's opinions are changing.

Zen: I'm majoring in Communications. The good thing about UA&P is that we have a chance to graduate in five years with a Master's Degree na. I'm hoping I'll survive until fifth year so that I can proudly say that I have a Master's Degree tucked safely under my belt.

Zen: Wow, so you're one of the guinea pigs for the 5-year Master's, huh? How many are you in IT? In Comm, there are only three people in 5th year, out of 20, I think. That's why I'm super kabado that I might not make it because the standards are so high.

Yes, I'm another one of Kliatchko's alagas. He's sooo intimidating! He really screams at us when we have our impromptu speeches. Aaahh!

So how's fifth year? Ok ba?

LOL you're right with guinea pigs! We're now 22 in our block, but we started out with around 30 students during freshman year. Kliatchko's really like that but he's REALLY nice! I also had him in my Business Presentations class during my junior year. Believe me when I say you'll thank him after you have him as your teacher. That's just his style. ;)

5th year's OK, we usually have speakers. The schedule is great! :D Though thesis is hell on the 1st sem pa lang. :(

My sister's from UA&P and she resents the new name. CRC would have been better.

A UA&P student once suggested they be called UAPings (Wapings or Gwapings)

been in UA&P only for a few days now...so far so good..i'm actually surprised because there are less conyos than what they said would be. UA&P@UAAP this year! so hopefully we'll be known soon...we even have our mascot already, UAPPY the Dragon! =)

hi ZEN (or j***). i'm pretty sure u'll recognize me if u see me (btw, we went to the same highschool). congrats nga pala on ur graduation. me, i'll be graduating tomorrow (sa Li Seng Giap lang, corny kami eh...hehehe).

anyway, for all those still in UA&P, watch out for ONCE ON THIS ISLAND this coming July/August.

UA&P guys: this year, I think, we'll be joining the UAAP, but not in all sports (we'll still be competing in the NCRAA for tennis, for example). the Athletics Dept. held some sort of launching 2 weeks ago, I think ('UA&P for UAAP'). this should be an exciting year for us!

Zen, Kyla: my class was the original 'guineapig' class.. the pilot class of '94! I graduated last Saturday, and now I'm just bumming around and preparing for HPAIR.

cook: welcome to UA&P! i'm glad you're enjoying yourself, but i'm warning you, it only gets worse! (only kidding) so what do you plan to major in?

As for our graduation, ayun, super short! As in, 1 hour lang siya. Pero okay naman generally. Less than 100 lang ang nag-attend.
