The best university...

I've read a lot of posts on the subject of which is the best university in the philippines. Opinion ko lang 'to, but the best university is where a student can comfortably grow and mature into an adult capable of decent and responsible actions. Since a person's individuality will always be subjective, then the matter of which university in the Philippines is also subjective. Marx read in La Salle will always be the same Marx read in Ateneo, UST, UP, FEU, etc. Likewise, the square root of any negative number will always equal to 'i', regardless of the school (at least, I hope so). So, let's all stop our bickering over the "best university", when all it does is just widen the gap between us. Peace nalang :)

well said, my friend! i really share the same view. and even schools (to continue your list) like ue, plm, mapua, mcu, fatima, etc. produce graduates that make their schools proud of them and these graduates proud of their schools.

on the issue - best university? i never bothered to reply in black's thread since i am well secure where i rightfully stand. and i believe that most of our friends who responded in that thread are just as secure.

actually, there was nothing wrong with that thread naman except that it was infected by a VIRUS (commonly found in the C.R.) that is why it took a nasty turn towards the end.

sana maraming ppl ang magbasa ng topic na 'to because many needs to be enlightened. there are topics which can promote a good discussion and will even make the others knowledgeable on different issues. the "best university" and other topics of this sort is definitely not the ones that will justify the time we spend in front of our respective PCs.

Each school has its own weaknesses and strengths. UST is good in Medicine, Nursing, PT, Architecture and Fine Arts, Law and the other arts and sciences. DLSU bests the business courses, UP tops Law, Medicine and other sciences as well. The above mentioned schools has also won UAAP championships. All school is the best in one way or d other.

Okay, I just have to say it...
there is no "best university"

Why?

1)It's judgement day, and God is asking you about your life. Do you think that he would care if you went to so-and-so university? Ok, so you graduated from whatever...Wow, guy! You're a freakin' hero!

2)There are millions of other people who would kill to get into ANY college.

3)Can EVERYONE go to the SAME university?

Can't think of anything else.

Am I making any sense? Just tell me nalang if I don't. :)

the thing is you've got to be level headed and accept that your school has its strong and weak points. There is no such thing as a perfect school. The school is just your guide. Eventually it's still up to you what to make of yourself in life later on. If you had a good education but you're lazy and relied on your school's reputation to get you through work nothings gonna happen to you. But even if you came from a so-called "lower level school" and worked hard, things will be bright and rosy for you.
