What do you think is the best school organization?

Sa isang pamantasan, marami kang makikitang samahan. Ano sa tingin mo ang pinakamagandang salihan? Be it an org, a frat or a sisterhood?? and why?

In UST, the best org. is the MEDICAL MISSIONS, INCORPORATED. Kaso nga lang limited to Medical and Nursing Students onli pero we also have Staff Nurses, Consultants, Residents, and Dentists. Kahit mahirap maging member enjoy naman. You can go to far far palces from Aparri to down south in Tawi-tawi holding medical-surgical-dental missions. We make make-shift hospital out of school grounds or any building or structure. Imagine, expensive operations such as cataract extractions or plastic surgeries are offered for free.

In Diliman it would have to be Upsilon Sigma Phi fraternity (no violent reaction from members of warring frats please, this is just my opinion after all). Great support among members. Very closeknit group. They accomplish a lot. Distinguished roster. When someone's in trouble, they really go out of their way to help. And they have a lot of fun amongst each other.

ira: well a frat is a frat. Any frat member could say their frat is the best. upsilon is quite popular... when it comes violence they had a history also but in general they're cool and there activities (events) are fun to watch (e'g' dakdakan).

when i was college i was in UP JPIA. I really liked that org. not only it comes up with great activities inside the out org.(JMA is also nice) but projects that usually becomes a major event in the school. ;)

Masaya talaga sa Medical Missions, Inc. (MMI)This year lang, I've been to Isabela, Zamboanga del Sur, and Batangas & I get to meet lots of pipol especially d poorest of d poor that needs free medical and surgical services which they can't afford. Think of it, our ophthalmologists who do cataract extraction in a hospital setting would charge 15-20,000 per operation but during our missions they render it for free. And children even adults who have harelip or cleft lip undergoes cheiloplasty (repair of the lips) for free where if it was done in a private hospital it would cost them more than 25,000! Our surgeons also do thyroidectomies (removal of the thyroid gland for goiter patients), mastectomies, hysterectomy, free medicines, dental extractions.
For our part, we get free hands-on training depending on your field. If you're a Nursing or Medical student it's a good training ground to apply theories read in the books and modify modalities of care whenever it fits. Residents undergoing training also get additional hands-on.

As far as frats go, Upsilon for me is the best. Not just because I'm biased, but they don't get involved in as many fights as the other frats do. But events wise, I'd consider them pioneers. They were the ones who started Day of Roses, Dakdakan and Car Stuffing. By the way, for those of you who are interested in watching this year's Dakdakan, the one in UP Manila will be held on November 29 and the one in Diliman will be on December 3 at the AS Parking Lot.

dakdakan is dakdakan contest!! basketball! chiqui, guess what!! sumali ako jan last year!!! pero i lost sa semi finals, na miss ko kasi yung dunk ko eh. yung kalaban ko walang ginawa kundi shinoot lang yung bola kasi napilayan sya, so sya yung nakapasok tuloy sa finals, ***** ko, hehehe. anyway, o nga december na nanaman, too bad wala na ako sa updil. ok yun talaga, masaya.

in our school, its the CMS, Computer Management Society. The professors are cool, the officers are cute, and maganda talaga ang objective, kasi they'll teach you about whats new in computer and stuffs like that.

In my opinion.......
At this time of year during circa late 80s, the best school organization- UST Pharmacy Glee Club. We went carolling from nearby cities in MetroManila to Pampanga and Batangas.We studied for the monthly exams en route to our destination and raised >;40,000P.
.......and we ended up Grand Champions in the UST Intercollegiate Choral Competition for 3 consecutive years.
.......also the UST Pharmacy Pax Romana....remember the Miss Thomasian Pharmacy Personality?.....we organized that.
.....isama ko na rin and UST-JPA Gamma Chapter...we won first places several times in the Inter-Univeristy Quiz Contest and topped the boards from 1st to the 20th place.....
