I just graduated from an Economics degree in DLSU. We just moved here in the United States particularly here in California and I am currently trying to find a job. I have work experience but only in our family business. What are my chances of getting employed in a job related with my course here in the US? How will my diploma in the Philippines fare against applicants who earned their degrees in US Schools? How much salary should I expect?

to be honest man...small.

1. most filipino graduates don't find those expected careers in us, one because of the view that 3rd world country schools aren't up to us standards. i know many teachers who just work blue collar jobs here. even electricians and engineers.

2. many americans themselves not end up using their degrees that they studied...how much more a recent immigrant.

3. i'd say us econ. is still just trying to still stimulate from the last recession...many american graduates themselves would have to cope for the unemployment.

don't get me wrong, it's not impossible nor exteremely hard. i know my mom's friend she was a ca in the pi and she worked very successfully here as a ca after many many actions ie taking tests, going to class, etc. but most i know of don't.

don't lose hope though, but as for honesty and my opinion read thea above.

Is DLSU accredited in America?

Though that question seems off-topic at first glance it may be worth your while to find out. You may be surprised.
