This afternoon, someone claiming he is from HSBC International called me up in my office, the number was something like 848 -----, they said i had free gifts to claim courtesy of HSBC International, asked me what card i have, how many cards i have, how many inactive, I already sensed this was a scam since i always log in to HSBC website, so i just joked around with the guy who obviously had a Visayan accent. He asked me when I can claim my prizes, etc etc. I told him i will be leaving for abroad tomorrow. He told me if i can go to their office that afternoon, i told him i will be leaving office 8pm, then he said they are open till 8pm!! They he asked me if i can claim my prize before i leave, asking me also what time I will leave. he told me to bring 3 ID's to claim my prize!!! 3 id's, what will they do with 3 id's. Also, their office where they want you to claim the prize is at Vicente Madrigal Building, Room 401, Who knows what will happen to you inside room 401!! :diablo: Anyway, after this call I reported it to HSBC, they said there was Modus Operandi, anyway, I gave them the number , plus office address.

So to all Credit Card holders out there, BEWARE of these SCAMS!

Actually, what will happen in that room is that they'll make a presentation about Permanent Plans. They'll try to convince you to invest in their trust fund.

In my case, I did not invest and the gift that they promised was a 50k worth of personal accident insurance.

tumawag na din sakin yan under another name twice (both different company names). pero same location sila vicente madrigal building. better contact HSBC kasi ginagamit nila yung company name w/o permission. sue their asses!

Meron na din tumawag sa akin na ganito. Di naman binanggit sa akin yung bank pero nakuha daw nila yung pangalan ko from a credit card firm. Ni-raffle daw nila and isa ako sa walo (?) na nanalo. All I have to do daw is to go to their office to claim the prize. Parang accident insurance or educational plan yata. Prudential Plans ang kino-quote eh.

Scam pa rin siya, since di naman sila talaga HSBC, pero ginagamit nila name ng HSBC.
