siyempre naman. what kind of job in the world will actually pay you to climb mountains, camp in the wilds, brief very powerful people including the President of the Republic, give live interviews and endorse you to study for free overseas? now if only they would actually pay me commensurate to the job and risks I take.

Not really. If not just because of the ridiculous quota it could have been a job I would like very much.

HELL YEAH! CHILDREN'S HOUR ROCKS!
I get to raise funds for children's causes all over the country, nothing better than that.
If you'd like to help out, in cash or kind, please let me know. There's a lot of work that needs to be done - and it really takes a collective effort to make things work.
Things I've learned watching Star Wars: if HOPE can reside in the efforts and destiny of just one person, then it can most certainly reside in the initiative of the many.
*Children's Hour is a nationwide fundraising campaign that asks individuals and corporations to donate just one hour's worth of their earnings to projects that support and protect the welfare of Filipino children. Children's Hour - Every Hour is Time Well Spent

Lemme see....
I develop video games for consoles for a living. I get exclusive invites to events that not usually open for general public. Incentives such as medical, dental, life insurance, stock options, profit sharing, employee assistance, discounts from DELL (among other stuff), etc. are offered. Hours are extremely flexible. I show up at work either in jeans or walking shorts, t-shirt, hiking boots or flip flops. I get free food during OT (ie. BBQ tri-tips) and actually pump up the volume of my little stereo. Vacation is 2 weeks minimum per year but can be extended to a month. Even get to play DVDs and video games... ...in front of my boss... ...and even frag him during "Flashpoint Fridays". The people I work with share a mutual and professional respect (even if we debate amongst ourselves) regardless of whatever background (ie. religion, education, culture, etc) you can think of.
...so what's NOT to love about that? Welcome to the Dark Side. http://e.deviantart.com/emoticons/j/jedi.gif

no i don`t think soo.. but somehow i`ve learned to cope up with my job and so with my coworkers. it`s my coworkers that i love not my job :glee:
just think, if you`re gonna work 8hrs a day in an environment which calls for aloot of deadlines and with a manager that`s a bully.. eventhough the pay`s just about right.. well kinda big for me who just landed her first job ever, you`d have to have a loot of patience. but not love for the work.

I like my job (well used to), but I don't love it. See, working for a bank under the compliance officer (my boss) has been one hell of an experience so far. I constantly deal with managers who sometimes don't know or don't bother with certain SOP's, and then they tell me that they didn't know and would like me to explain it to them. To think they've been at their job for more than 5 years and I've been working there for less than a year. Also, dealing with senior management is such a pain.
Throw in another manager under my boss who has no personal life, who calls you close to midnight on a Friday night, and asking you to do something that is not really your responsbility. Also, throw in a couple of teammamtes who are seriously planning to leave the company and simply do not care anymore! If it weren't for the pay and the thought that I need to save for the future, then I would've jumped ship months ago. I know this will pay off in the end though (says a quick prayer!).
Ooooppsss, gotta go, I hear burnout knocking

I love them all. After work we could just play PS2 at my boss' house and Sleep there until work the next day comes. We can eat or have a break anytime, anywhere. It's like a "barkada". The work is just awesome and I like how we compete for a Good Design and have a bet or a tournament to whom will have the best design. A trophy is awarded to the winner. hahahaha. I love my work, it's my hobby and my passion before it became my work. I love them all.
