ok this is about tae-bo and diarrhea kahit walang connection LOL.

1. do you tae-bo?
2. is coca cola really good when you have diarrheal tendencies? Several people told me before na a bottle of coke will ease your tendencies.

My sister just recently purchased the whole "Tae-Bo" set. She used it once then stuck it in her cabinet full of all the other aerobic tapes she's purchased before.. and so far, her cabinet has lost a whopping total of 20 lbs!!! hahahahaha

Burned to a nice toast, much to the envy of many pale-faced, unhealthy-looking people. :D

Peps: That's what i keep telling my sister.. instead of spending all that money on videos and portable workout machines, she should just join a gym. Atleast you get motivated kasi you're paying monthly for it. I joined a gym last year and i'm glad that i did, cos now i'm only a couple years away from achieving my dream.. becoming a CK underwear model :D

1. yes, among other variations of aerobic exercise [my instructor alternates hiphop with hi-lo every m-w & kickbox every fri] ... tae-bo is a copyrighted name for kickbox aero ...

2. no ... if i absolutely have to leave the house, i take immodium & eat bananas & apples ... if i can stay home, i drink lots of water & let go ...

Yoshi: syang, our aero classes r for employees only ... there's a gym in ortigas that offers tae-bo, i'll ask my friend for details if u're interested ...

yes, i do tae-bo. TIP: if ur planning to do it, one key element is to ALWAYS use your abdominal muscles (they must be always tight).. especially when lifting your leg. otherwise, your whole body will ache the next day. :)

My youngest sister attends Tae-bo sessions two to three times a week from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at a parking lot somewhere behind Honda Cars Alabang. It's P50/session & you don't have to pay anything in advance. Pay as you come.

I'll post again as soon as I get ALL the details.

Would anyone know of taebo sessions being offered in Makati? Forget the known fitness centers, parking is a major problem. What about those being offered in villages?

I used to take Taebo classes with Vanessa Garcia at Steps Dance Studio in San Antonio Village.

I'm planning on taking classes again (ive been gaining so much weight) but i want to know if you guys know any places around Salcedo Village that offers Taebo classes so i can just walk from my office after work. :D

Fact: Taebo is dangerous because it involves martial art moves and most (99%) of instructors thereof are not martial artists themselves and have poor body mechanics (imagine a side kick delivered without matching supporting leg turn).

Fact: Taebo is not a substitute for kickboxing classes. You will not learn how to defend yourself in taebo.

Fact: Weight training is still best for all of us (or Pilates).

Oh? san mo nakuha info mo Brandon? Because the taebo that im into is not just about kicks and punches, there's also stretching/exercises involved and i dont really think it's dangerous. besides im not using it as a substitute for kickboxing class because i taebo to look trim and fit.

Please search "WebMD" articles archived re Taebo and aero boxing exercises in general. Check also, other online and printed version of sports medicine journals as well as health and fitness publications. Just go to search engines and type "risks and Tae Bo" using whatever algorithms you may have.

Of course, it is a great workout. But it works only if you don't endanger yourself. And thus the ones to benefit from it the most would be individuals who are already into martial arts themselves or who are really flexible and supple, like dancers or gymnasts.

I saw an example of how poor body mechanics taebo teachers can have and pass on to their hapless students. Example: the side kick. You're supposed to turn your supporting leg foot in the direction of your torso. Some taebo teachers don't. No legitimate martial art does a side kick that way, and doctors will say that that's bad for your anatomy.
