i need help. i have marks/scars on my legs due to insect bites. i was wondering if somebody can tell me what i can do or what i should apply on these marks/scars of mine in order to vanish or remove them. Should i use an ointment? what brand?
i also have an underarm problem. my armpits are kinda dark/black, whatever is the term for such. what underarm whitening cream or ointment or soap that you could recommend that is very effective and works fast? thank you in advance.

Firstly, don't scratch insect bites. You're just making it worse. If the itchiness is unbearable, just put Caladryl or Fenistil. As for the scars, there are salicylic acid preparations like Diprosalic in the market that may help, but I advise you to consult a dermatologist first. Overuse of such preparations may cause adverse reactions like secondary bacterial infections. One positive thing to look forward to, though, is that the scars are going to disappear anyway even if you don't put anything on it. It will take time, but it will fade.
Regarding the underarm problem...you can try using the local antiperspirant/deodorants that have tawas, or have whitening effects. Test if you are allergic to it first, though.
Don't scrub your underarms too enthusiastically when you're bathing, either.
If you don't see results in a month, go to a dermatologist. Usually dermatologic preparations which the doctors themselves mix are more effective than the ones in the market.

According to a dermatologist-friend, it causes more darkening kasi. Of course, you have to clean it, but try not to use a loofah.

This is one of my best kept beauty secrets. ehehehe. I use Contractubex to remove my scars and it is f***ing effective. Tanggal peklat after a week. I saw one in Greenhills, dun sa Chinese drug store sa Shoppesville, first floor. Dunno how much cos I bought mine when i was in Hong Kong. Hope this helps. :)

Contractubex is effective only with hypertrophic scars and keloids...but with "pasa", it doesn't work much. Contractubex has been available in most local drugstores for several years, and while it's not earth-shatteringly expensive, it's not cheap either. :) Plus, DOH's been getting pretty strict with drugs the past 1 month. So this ointment's purely by prescription only.
