Do YOU have abs or flab?? How do you get your big tummy and sickly lovehandles shaped up??
Here are some websites that may help you, grounded:

http://www.nismat.org/ptcor/abdominal/index.html
Remember, though, when doing exercises, don't tug hard at your head. Always keep your head and neck at a neutral position.

hi grounded and thank you Ira for the helpful websites.
based on men's health, these things kick *** on how to have washboard abs:
1. eat lean. avoid fatty foods. we do all have those abs but they are hidden by these unscrupulous fats. watch what goes into it.
2. burn away your blubber by doing cardio or aerobic exercises - cycling, rowing, running, whatever. i suggest tae-bo, i've been doing this for 2 months now and i am happy with the results.
3. relax. when stress hits, one of the first things your body does is crank up its production of adrenaline. This causes fat cells from all over your body to release their stored fat into your bloodstream, so you can burn it and use the calories to ecscape or fight off whatever it is that's giving you the heebee-jeebies. de-stress. de-stress.
have fun.
Bod.

Here's a tidbit: a study showed that if you stick your tongue on the roof of your mouth while doing sit ups, it exercises the stomach muscle better. Don't ask me to explain I only read about it...

Thanks Peps. Say, would anyone know if those "ab machines" they sell on tv work? There's the ab-flex thing, the roller things, the one where you're sitting down and the one where you're facing the floor. Weird!!

The one where you press the machine against your abdomen doesn't work. However, the one that helps you do crunches while supporting your head does (the one that sorta rocks you up). Be careful with gym exercises. A lot of times instructors are not aware of what exercises are bad. You might get abs of steel, but hey, you might have a high cervical injury...so what's the point?
