Which health insurance plan is the best one to get for someone living and working in Manila? And why?

On whose part? The doctor's or the patient's? :D

Ok, here are the outpatient consultation fees major HMOs pay neurologists and neurosurgeons. Average consultation fee of a neurologist would be around PhP800, while neurosurgeons, around PhP400-500, for private, non-HMO patients:

Aetna- PhP170
CAPHealth- PhP250
Excel- PhP200
I-Care- PhP350
Maxicare- PhP200
Medicard- PhP100 (kulang pa sa pangmeryenda)
Philamcare- PhP150

The inpatient rates would depend on the type of treatment and what type of coverage an HMO client gets. The most prompt in paying doctors' fees would be Philamcare and CAPHealth. I heard Philamcare's patient coverage is pretty good, too.

Oops, missed that. :D I'll check on Monday. Although from what I remember, as far as HMOs go, Ayala's okay, too.
