With Nanay Lucing's help, Gigi bids her friend Allan goodbye in the morgue. After they leave, Aling Pilar dresses her son for his own wake, waaah! Nakakalungkot talaga ang pagkawala ni Allan. Hirap na hirap na tanggapin ng mga magulang niya ang pagkamatay nito, habang si Gigi hindi naman talaga macomprehend ang pagkamatay ng kaibigan.

Sa bahay naman nagsabi si Edison kay Tatang na nais siyang makilala ng tatay ni Dorina. Sabi ni Tatang isasama pa niya ni aling Marian, aba di kaya sumablay sila at mabuko? Dodong plans to make Jeboy a cart from scrap wood, nagcontest pa sila ng grupo ni Buknoy para sa pinakamagandang kariton. Nagpatulong naman sina Pepay na magpatulong at magpaturo sa isang manong na gumawa ng kariton.

Habang sina Buknoy nandadaya na naman, nanguha nalang sila ng kariton mula sa isang basurero habang nangunguha ito ng papel. Nagtaka naman sina Pepay kung bakit ang bilis matapos ng Sinco Pecados. Sa burol ni Allan halos magwala si Gigi dahil hindi daw makakahinga si Allan sa loob ng kabaong, lungkot na lungkot ito at natatakot. Inexplain ni nanay Lucing kung ano ang nangyari kay Allan sa kanya.

Nang matapos na ang paggawa ng kariton, tinawag na nila si Mang Greg at siyempre dahil nabigyan ng lagay, pinapanalo niya sina Buknoy. Pero ng umupo ito nasira ang kariton! Naku lagot Buknoy! Ano kayang gagawin ni Mang Greg sa inyo?

Habang nagbibigay ng dugo si Fatima para sa isa't isa ay sinasabi ni Don Francisco sa apong si Victoria na anak siya ni Lourdes. Itinanong ni Victoria kung anak nga ba ng lolo niya ang mommy niya? Oo nga noh? Hindi kaya hindi rin anak ni Don Francisco si Lourdes? Samantala sa ospital, sinabi kay Martin na successful ang blood transfusion ng asawa niya. Nagtaka naman si Martin kung bakit confidential ang nagbigay ng dugo sa asawa niya.

Mabuti nalang hindi inabot ni Martin sina Fatima sa kwarto ng asawa! Nagtago kasi sila sa likod ng isang pintuan. Si Pablo naman kinukulit ang nanay niya tungkol sa kwento ng Tiyo Antonio niya at nung babaeng ang pangalan ay Lucia. Inaalala naman ni Antonio ang anak niya kay Lucia. Excited na si Veronica sa nalalapit na paguwi nina tita Lucia niya at si Luke.

Naku ipinakausap siya nito kay Martin pero galit na galit si Lucia sa kanya. Kapag may nangyari daw sa kapatid niya ay sisingilin niya daw ito! Si Fatima masayang masaya dahil sa nakasama niya ang ina. Sykharma gives Martin an idea kung paano niya makukuha ang pagkakataong mapatay si Fatima.

Kaya nang mangumpisal si Martin kay Padre Agaton ay lumambot ang puso nito. Pinapahingi siya ni Padre Agaton ng tawad si Martin kay Fatima. Pinilit naman ni Father Agaton si Imang na harapin ang ama niya para kausapin ito at patawarin na ito. Binigyan siya ng proteksyon ng mga madre bago siya pumasok sa loob ng simbahan.

Pinapalakas naman ni Dr. Clark ang loob ng asawa niya, harapin daw niya si Martin dahil kayang kaya na niya ito. Sa simbahan nagkaharap na si Fatima at Martin, hirap namang maniwala si Fatima na humihingi ng tawad ang kanyang ama. Nang masabi ni Fatima na siya ang nagbigay ng dugo sa kanyang ina ay biglang bumaligtad si Martin! Mabuti nalang handa si Fatima at may proteksyon.

Nakiusap naman si Jacinta kay Antonio na sana magbago na ito ng mindset kasi nahihirapan din silang tatlo nina Teresing at Pablo. Naisip daw ba niya ang lahat ng sakripisyong ginagawa nito para sa kanya para sumaya siya? Si Don Francisco hindi rin pala alam na may nagbigay na ng dugo sa anak niya. Sa paglabas ni Veronica sa araw na iyon nagkita sila ni Antonio! Mararamdaman kaya niyang ama niya ito?

Tinulak ni Jasmin si Aling Elena palayo sa kanyang mommy at laking gulat nilang tatlo. Ayaw sumama ni Jasmin kina Nea at ang unang instinct niya ay protektahan ang mommy niya dahil sinasaktan ito ng dalawang babaeng hindi niya kilala. Pinalayas naman sina Nea at Elena ng security sa village nila. Sinabihan naman ni Elena ang anak na tumigil na muna.

Sa bahay, confused naman na nananahimik si Jasmin habang tanong ng tanong si Hazel. Wala rin siyang maisagot sa kapatid. Si Ivan naman kuntodo explain kay Karri kung bakit hindi siya nakarating sa dinner nila. Pero ayaw na makinig ni Karri sa kanya, galit na galit pa ito dahil sa nangyari sa mga love letters nila.

Larry assures Yolanda na hindi niya iiwan ang asawa, ayaw din ni Yolanda na masira ang pamilyang binuo nila. Nung gabi ding yun, pinatawa na naman ni Oliver si Jasmin mula sa labas ng gate ng bahay nito! Ang sweet noh? Nagpalasamat naman si Jasmin sa kaibigan.
Pero nung gabing iyon hindi makatulog si Jasmin, naalala niya na binigyan niya ng manika yung babaeng nanakit sa kanyang mommy. Kinausap siya ng daddy niya dahil hindi daw niya pinabayaan ang mommy niya, wag nalang daw niya isipin ang mga gumugulo sa isip niya. Nang tanungin na siya ni Jasmin, wala nang naisagot si Larry kundi mahal siya ng mommy niya.

Gusto na raw niya maniwala sa dalawang babae kanina dahil damang dama daw niya ang pagmamahal nito. Anong isasagot ni Larry sa tanong ni Jasmin? Nais daw niyang malaman ang totoo, ibibigay ba ito ni Larry sa anak?

Korina Sanchez is a broadcast journalist practicing actively as one of television and radio's frontline personalities for her home network ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation.

In a span of 20 years in the field Korina has emerged as one of the country's most efficient reporters, trusted anchors and preferred hosts. She enjoys and maintains both critical and popular acclaim as she is multi-awarded and is a consistent ratings drawer.

Korina is known in the industry for her adherence to excellence in production; among her peers for accuracy in reporting and her exclusive interviews; to her public for her clarity of thought, sound commentary, versatility in conversation, unwavering stand on current events and issues and her advocacies which she pursues relentlessly.

Korina started as one of the youngest editorial assistants at the government station MBS Channel 4 when she was fresh out of college at 18 years of age. Excelling in extemporaneous speech, drama, literature, languages and creative writing all throughout high school at St. Theresa's College and her AB Communication Arts degree at Maryknoll College Foundation. Korina believed her calling had always been in the field of information and communication.

Korina's post college education had to take the backseat for a long while due to her frontline activity for ABS CBN. But she managed to be an awardee of the US Embassy's Thomas Jefferson Scholarship two years in a row taking up short courses in Investigative Journalism in Washington D.C. and Missouri in the US in 1996 and 1997. She has since taken up other related seminars locally. She also completed a third level French language course at the Alliance Francaise de Manille. Korina is set to take up her Masteral Course this coming school year.

As the youngest in the newsroom in her first job at Channel 4, Korina rose from the ranks--as weathergirl, hourly newsbreak announcer, beat reporter and pinch-hit anchor to the seniors.

She is one of the handful of pioneers in the reopened ABS-CBN Channel 2 newsroom in 1986. From being reporter of current events, beat departments, military sieges, catastrophes, tragedies and shootouts Korina proved herself just as capable in other areas of the industry and business. she became Executive Producer AND host of programs like MAGANDANG UMAGA with then-anchor Noli de Castro, BAYAN KO SAGOT KO, HOY GISING!, OPTIONS, BALITANG K, the newscast PULSO Aksyon Balita and ISYU 101. She dabbled in entertainment with Kris Aquino in MORNING GIRLS which ran for a year and a half. She also started a career in AM radio 15 years ago 'til today doing socio-political commentary with co-anchor Ted Failon over DZMM with a program called Aksyon Ngayon renamed Tambalang Failon at Sanchez later. She anchored her solo radio program Korina sa Umaga thereafter for three years for which she won numerous prestigious awards and which remained on top of the ratings charts.

Somewhere along the way Korina also wrote regular columns for The Manila Times, Jarius Bondoc's ISYU and Balita sa Hapon, making her a certified tri-media journalist.

When Noli de Castro ran for office Korina was elected by her news division colleagues into TV Patrol as the main anchor of the station's primetime newscast. During her watch TV Patrol remained on top of the charts for five years and won its first ever Catholic Mass Media Award for Television as Best Newscast.

In the 20 years this year in media where she was born and bred Korina has won numerous awards from all of the prestigious award-giving bodies for television including the Gawad CCP para sa Telebisyon, The Community Outstanding Young Achievers (COYA) Awards, Catholic Mass Media Awards, KBP Golden Dove Awards, PMPC Star Awards for TV and many others for both the programs she produces and her performance as news anchor and host. Korina's most recent awards in 2004 are Best Newscast and Best Newscaster for TV Patrol, Best Talk Show Host for Morning Girls both from PMPC Star Awards; Best Radio Program for Korina sa Umaga from the KBP Golden Dove Awards, Youth Award and Pipol of the Year voted by viewers of the program Pipol in Channel 2. Korina was also surveyed by both PULSE ASIA and SWS as consistently within the Top 3 broadcast news personalities in the country the past five years landing in No. 1 in four of those five years reflecting categories including Trust and Credibility.

Today Korina writes, directs and hosts the top-rating weekly primetime program Rated K and is Chief Correspondent for the ABS-CBN News Division. She once again co-hosts Tambalang Failon at Sanchez over DZMM remaining No. 1 in its timeslot and is presently in the drawing board for a daily evening primetime program and another weekly talk show over ANC Channel 21. She was chosen as Philippine representative in a group of prominent Asian broadcast journalists who were commissioned by then- Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammad of Malaysia to interview world leaders via an internationally syndicated talk program.

Korina's beloved parents who both passed away last year Ramon Sanchez, a loyal Makati City public servant and Celia Sanchez, an interior designer and decorator inspired her into what she describes as, "all the good that I am and can ever hope of becoming". She is now the keeper of her three younger brothers, a promise to her parents she intends to keep.

Outside broadcasting Korina is also busy as a Media Consultant for certain independent projects, is starting a business among the expat community in Shanghai, China, dabbles in interior design and landscaping for her own home and friends and has, according to those who've had the pleasure of sampling, one of the most sought after recipes of spaghetti and blueberry cheesecake.

ABS didn’t question Sharon about her song on GMA-7

The intrigue never stops.

Bracing herself for work on her new studio album under Sony-BMG Music Entertainment soon after she has returned to the country last week from a very successful US tour, the megastar Sharon Cuneta finds herself answering another bit of controversy. This time, the issue stems from her song "Sa Kanya" which is being used as the theme song of GMA- 7’s next big Korea novela entitled "Attic Cat."

An item has come out in a different publication that ABS- CBN asked Sharon to explain why she allowed her song to be used by the rival network. Sharon has been under the stable of ABS-CBN talents for quite a long time now.

The megastar, finding the intrigue laughable, has denied these allegations. She said her mother network ABS-CBN has not done anything remotely close to it at all. She assured, "it is not true at all. No such thing. If there is, I’ll surely inform you," she said in a text message brushing aside another intrigue that could very well be traced to fuel the eternally raging network war.

Sharon’s singing the theme song of the GMA-7 Koreanovela has naturally aroused the curiosity of industry observers prompting them to think that maybe, Sharon may actually be transferring networks after all. Sharon has found this even funnier. "They’re imagining things," she said laughing.

The song in question is Sharon’s very own interpretation of an Ogie Alcasid original, "Sa Kanya" which is part of the new album billed "Sharon Sings Alcasid" that Sony-BMG is currently promoting. Sales of this new album, we were told, is fast picking up even when the megastar has yet to go on a full blast promotional campaign for it.

Sony-BMG’s Narciso Chan, for his part, said "we presented the idea of having Sharon’s single ‘Sa Kanya’ for this Korea-novela to GMA-7 and they liked it because it suits the flavor of the show. Sharon has given us her permission to do so and we have secured the rights from the publisher of the song. We have taken cared of the legalities involved in this negotiation so everything is in place. We don’t see anything wrong with it at all."

The megastar’s new album, "Sharon Sings Alcasid" is a compilation of Ogie Alcasid’s well-loved songs which also includes "Sana," "Ikaw Ang Pag-ibig," "Hanggang Ngayon," "Nandito Ako," "Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang," "Ikaw Sana," "Pangarap Kong Ibigin Ka," "Kung Mawawala Ka," "Dito sa Puso Ko," "Mahal Kita, Walang Iba," "Tanging Ikaw Lamang," "Pangako" and "Nandito Ako."

Hero’s brother on the warpath again

Hero Angeles’ brother lets out another barrage of accusations against ABS-CBN, specifically against Star Magic, the management office co-handling with him the young actor’s showbiz career.


The feisty Henry Angeles (who filed, along with Hero, 27 counts of libel suits against TV host and columnist Cristy Fermin three weeks ago), alleged that his brother is currently experiencing "a career blackout" after Star Magic started to cancel all Hero’s guestings and personal appearances in various previously arranged engagements.

Henry spoke to the Manila Bulletin and accused ABS-CBN of indefinitely suspending Hero, despite being under an exclusive contract with them until year 2007. He said, "Hero has been barred from any show on ABS-CBN and we don’t know why. His fan text has been blocked by the cell network. My brother can’t make an appearance on ‘The Buzz’ and he wasn’t allowed to guest in ‘Y Speak’ last June 19. He was even barred from appearing at the Famas Awards last Sunday where he was supposed to be a presenter. His guesting in the show ‘Night of the Champions’ in Australia was also cancelled. He seems to be suspended but there is no memo," Henry said.

To support his claims, Henry furnished Bulletin a copy of Hero’s supposed schedules from June to July, including plans for SCQ’s first year anniversary, a new teleserye, and Hero’s first US visit. Henry revealed that Hero was told in a meeting that these projects will not materialize unless Hero fulfills certain conditions set by ABS-CBN management. "They told him he may resume work if Hero personally apologizes to Cristy Fermin, Johnny Manahan and Star Cinema. That I and the whole Angeles family will stay away from the picture, and no lawyers should be present during transactions."

An indignant Henry said that they found these conditions impossible." It prompted Hero to respond, ‘let me and my brother be’ in effect denying the unspoken request of the management to hire a new manager. Hero decides and he wants me to stay as his manager," he said speaking in behalf of the Angeles family, who, Henry said have banded together to show all-out support for their celebrity son.

ABS-CBN, for its part, has previously released a statement saying that all these changes are due to the ongoing reformatting of the network programming. The statement also quoted ABS-CBN executive Deo Edrinal that Hero can still be part of the regular pool of eight SCQ artists on a rotating basis. Henry, once again, denied this statement and said. "Hero informed me that the show has already started without him. He was told he can be accommodated only, not to be taken in as a regular. Hero is losing shows and we are kept in the dark. We don’t know what’s happening," he said.

Earlier, Hero reportedly lost two shows: "SCQ Reload" and "ASAP Fanatic." Henry said Hero is also bound to be taken out of "Nginiiig" after his stint ended last June 25. The older brother believes that all of these has a connection to the lawsuit that they filed against Fermin.

Cristy Fermin, reacting to this observation said, "I am not part of the management. I don’t have any influence on them. I cannot speak for them. I have no say. I’m only an ordinary employee. ABS-CBN does not pay for my lawyer. I cannot speak on that matter for them. All I know is that Hero is experiencing problems with some inside officers. All I can say is, sa lahat ng mga bagitong naisulat ko, siya ang may kakaibang lakas ng loob. I don’t have anything against Hero. I don’t even know him personally."

About the reported conflict between the Angeleses and Star Cinema executive Roxy Liquigan, Henry confirmed this and said "those are different stories. It happened while Hero was making ‘Can This Be Love?’ Hero was sick then, he was suffering from his illness known as Neuro Circulatory Asthenia and those Star Cinema people pushed us to finish the movie immediately because they said Sandara Park was leaving for Korea soon. We communicated with them but it was useless. They won’t listen and they blamed us when they had to pack up because we couldn’t come. There was even a mix up when we went to meet Sandara at the airport," he said in their defense.

When asked about the reported conflict between them and Star Magic head Johnny Manahan, Henry fired away, "I admit that we don’t agree most of the time about decisions on Hero’s career but Mr. Manahan would throw harsh words at me as if I wasn’t human," he said. Mr. Manahan could not be reached for comment regarding these complaints.

Henry looked back and said that all these negative write-ups from Cristy stemmed from their failure to commit in a guesting at Punchline bar, which Fermin had asked of them. "But we thought there was no problem at all. We apologized to her and she said it was okay. Then we were surprised to read all the bad write-ups she started to write in her columns. Until now we’re still asking why," he said.

Hero is currently back in school taking Fine Arts at UP Diliman. He is now on his 3rd year.

Naaliw ako kay Kris Aquino noong Sunday sa The Buzz. Pagkakita niya sa akin, tinawag niya ako para ipakilala kay James Yap. Ang totoo niyan, talagang hinihintay ako ni Kris. Ang nakakatuwang kwento, buong araw daw tinatanong ni James kung sino ang inyong lingkod. At heto na ang kwento kung bakit ako napasama sa kwento.

Isang gabi raw, nanaginip si Kris. Sa nasabing dream, sinabi ko raw sa kanya na nakita ko si James na may kasamang isang babae at magkasama silang kumakain ng ice cream. At isinumbong ko ito sa kanya. Kaya the following day, nung magkita sina Kris at James, ang nasabing panaginip ang isyu nila. Kaya panay daw ang tanong ni James sa akin.

Until finally, pormal akong ipinakilala ni Kris sa kanyang future husband. Natawa kami pareho ni James dahil pati panaginip ay pinapatulan ni Kris. Although hindi naman nila pinag-awayan ‘yon. Talagang mas na-curious si James na makilala ako kasi bukambibig daw ako ni Kris.

Noong Sunday was the only time na nakita ko ng malapitan si James. Tahimik lang ito. Ngumiti naman. Hindi palasalita pero mabait. At talaga namang gwapo siya in person. Gauging ‘yung ilang traits na nakita ko kay James, hindi imposibleng ma-in love si Kris dito.

Sa kanyang acceptance speech, inamin ni Piolo na masaya siya dahil bago man lang natapos ang awards season, nakaisa siya. Consistent nominee siya sa iba’t ibang award-giving bodies.

Naging emotional naman si Claudine sa kanyang acceptance speech. She cited na bata pa lang, pinangarap na niyang magkaroon ng Famas award. Bukod kina Charo Santos, Malou Santos, Cory Vidanes, Johnny Manahan at Olivia Lamasan, pinasalamatan din ni Claudine ang boyfriend niyang si Raymart Santiago na siya ring nag-accompany pag-akyat niya sa stage.

Bukod sa Famas, una nang nakamit ni Claudine ang Best Actress award sa Luna Awards (Film Academy of the Philippines).
