Hello PexerS!

Anybody knows any info or details re. this company? I believe they are looking for tenured or applicants experienced in the call center industry. As far as I know, they are looking for reps with technical support experience to pioneer the team. They do not accept direct hiring which means, you'll have to go thru a headhunter to do the process.

i wonder how much can they pay, benefits, exact location, staff and facilities

and most important, i wonder if they have any washroom? wahehehe... kinda wierd but the 1st thing i always check in a company is the restroom

For those who are interested in applying for a TSR position here sa Siemens, pleas send me a private message and I will gladly give you details on how to apply.

Just for some info no, YES, IT IS TRUE THAT SIEMENS WILL PUT UP A CALL CENTER in Libis, so far we are interviewing for the Pioneer Batch (The Best Batch!)

Full operations will start by Mid October

But I have to tell you this, for Pioneer Batch, sobrang taas ang requirements nila sa Technical Expertise

Again, if you are interested, send me a PM

Thanks

yes, i must admit that the screening process is lengthy and like what mikedv mentioned, Siemens is very Strict with the requirements to be qualified for the Pioneer batch...

Anyway, sabi naman eh magiging maganda ang kalabasan... :)

although.... mikedv, if full operations will start by Mid-October... hindi ba parang ang aga if they have started conducting interviews? or isn't the target date late?

maybe because they really mean serious business hindi katulad ng ibang call centers which we can consider as "mediocre" kuha lang ng kuha ng acct only to fold-up at a latter time..and siguro because pioneer batch nga so they are busy pirating TSR's with the potential and the eagerness to take the challenge..hehehe... *okay*

onga..it seems for now all that we know is siemens *** client looking for TL's L2's and agents through john clements...but everything outside of that is yet to be determined...hopefully makapasok lahat ng interested parties and hopefully it would not just be a hype and would not be just among one of those call centers in the industry... *okay*

I think I can answer this question, with apologies to mike...meron kasi akong friend sa Asian Partnership eh, at sinabi nya sa akin ang mga pag dadaanan ng mga aspiring agents.

1. Submit your resume sa either John Clements or Asian Partnership.
2. JC or AP will call you to set an interview
3. Pag dating sa JC or AP, they will give you a technical test, 30 items and very very hard, after the test interview naman, typical questions about your previous job and its description.
4. after the interview, two things can happen, either pass or fail, pag pasado, JC or AP will submit their recommendation to Seimens.
5. Siemens will call the agent to set up an interview
6. Pag dating sa Siemens, it will be a panel interview, HR and two foreigners, from germany, and isang IT guy ng Siemens, the usual questions and what have you, para sa IT guy naman, he will ask you a series of scenarios about computers, like what would you do if ganun and ganyan.
7. now after the interview, either pasado ko or hindi, pag pasado ka...
8. Tatawagan ka ulit ng Siemens para mag conference call ka sa Germany, a guy from Germany will interview you over the speaker phone.
9. Either pasado ka or hindi, pag pasado ka...
10. Sa septmembe daw, meron kayong 2 week PRE-HIRING TRAINING na language assessment, you would be trained by an american then after the 2 weeks, may test kayo
11. Either pasado or bagsak, pag pasado....
12. Job offer and contract signing na.
13. Start ng training would be middle of septmeber, floor operations would start on 2nd week of October.

Whew!!

for the 2 week language training, wala pang sweldo yun, allowance lang....

Hope this helps...

astig talaga!! *okay* *okay*

d naman din kc ordinaryong call center lang ang Siemens, they're more than that....

and believe you me, when u start working for them...

its like working for a real, true to life, no-B.S., highly acclaimed, corporation.

even people in Siemens that work outside the call center say they had a hard time before they were admitted! (came from an inside source ;) )

by the way, also in the hiring process stated by miles_davis, there are 2 acceptance boards. the first one will determine whether u get into soft skills training, the second will say u pass said soft skills training and go on to product training and get to sign up for Siemens...the acceptance board will consist of a number of people....including the core group (wave 1) and foreigners (ASTIG!). that way they really know who's in and who's crap!

:bop: 'nuff said!! :bop:

This new center is actually looking for people who are very technical. I think you'll go through certification process in the US once you're hired. The office is in CyberOne in Eastwood... the building where eTel and Sitel are located. They already have ongoing training. Second batch will be on October.

You may go through the application process with John Clements. If you're working with a technical acct right now, you have a bigger chances of getting interviewed and luckily shortlisted for a panel interview. If you're not techie, you'll be relegated to an active file.

How did I know that? Well I happened to have applied for QA Analyst with JC. Based on my observations, those not handling tech support gets to be told to wait for their call. I was interviewed and was told that my application will be forwarded for panel interview. Weeks has passed and I still haven't received a call... too bad. But I understand why. I'm working with tech support right now, but the technical knowledge they require is really beyond me. heheh... imagine getting asked what's the first 3 files that runs when you boot your computer.

Those applying... good luck!

whuuat?! wave 1 just started training... hmm... did they start yesterday? Aug 8??? :(( waaa... i'm done with the series of panel interviews with Siemens, hopefully I get the call as per Step 8... wahehehe akala ko pa naman *** soft skills training nlang aantayin ko... meron pa plang ibang screening process... naiiyak na ako sa tagal...

the company really sounds promising and hopefully.. totoo nga, as in overall ha...

I'm sorry but this is not true, we are still in the hiring process for the Pioneer Batch.

Just a reminder people, if you are going to drop your resume's. please make sure that it is a detailed resume, no need for Personal Information like height, birthdate, age and Hobbies. What is important are the Job Description and Job Responsibilities. I cannot emphasize this enough, kahit umabot ng 3 pages ang resume mo, basta ba detalyado eh.

astig!

sobrang taas ng expectations ng management. i heard that the pioneer batch have to know every single detail and be involved in every single process that they implement

good luck to all who applied!! its going to be tedious but if you get in, you can be as proud as you want to be....

the company itself doesn't have networking products...more on computer hardware in software i guess..parang dell, gateway etc...if you would want to work for a network support company link2support would be your best destination..but don't think about the salary of course...hehehe.... *okay*

hellow, hellow! :)
i'm really getting confused.. My friends and I are really willing to wait for Siemens knowing the fact that Siemens has been in the business world for 157 YEARS (well, sa buong mundo un...) (btw... has been ba or have been? pksh*t, wahehehe) their idea looks so promising

anyway, as i was saying... we were under the impression that hopefully we shall be part of the pioneer batch pero sana mapabilis na siya... :(

i need a source of income as soon as possible... any suggestions? nakakahiya naman kung maghahanap lang me ng ibng cll center tpos resign agad kapg may offer na from siemens :(

btw... do what mikedv said... my advise sa mga interesado... emphasize on your Skills and Abilities, previous Job - syempre as much as possible related sa tech at call center... AT Awards and Recognition, importante din...

if u really need a source of income as soon as possible i suggest u find one first..it's really hard to wait kung hindi ka naman sigurado kung kelan talaga...unless u have lots of money to spare...but economy-wise it's really good to have a current job while waiting for another..

i also applied for siemens but i don't have plans of giving up my current job unless i already have a signed contract...you would not know what would come along the way eh...mahirap na sumugal...you might have passed a lot of stages but at the end hindi pa rin pala pasado lalo na kung talagang matindi ang screening process and if it is really a must that you are already highly-technical...

it's not that wala kang tiwala sa sarili mo..you might be good but there would be times na it might not be enough..pwede rin namang you're not just lucky to bag a slot...sugal kase yan eh at pag pera at trabaho na ang pinaguusapan kelangan maging segurista...advice lang naman yan mga chong... *okay*

its almost time,

numerous tried but a few were chosen...

a lot of the positions have already been filled up...

if u still want to get in the core group, there is still until the end of the week to file your apps with the headhunters...

this is gonna be sumthing....

for those who got in, welcome aboard!!!

for those who didn't, i know u guys are good, professionally i've seen some of you work....pero its siemens....and they don't seem to just settle for "good"

u've got to be the best....nothing short of excellence...

"if u still want to get in the core group, there is still until the end of the week to file your apps with the headhunters..."

does it mean if you're accepted by the headhunter eh pasok ka na???or there are still a lot of stages those people will go through??? *okay*

myk25_brb
Aug 11, 2005, 11:40 AM
yup, core group means higher than TSR....but the initial batch of TSR are also considered to be the part of the core group, coz its wave 1.

there are still other core positions available (QA, process analysts) but you got to be fast.....a lot has already lined up for this week and the next...so lets just hope that you're application is already pending in HR.

yeah, still a lot of stages to go, but otherwise, when you get in, you can actually boast about it after. very rigorous, and uptight compared to other recruitment processes of other centers.

cheers!!

Ad: We need 700 TSRs for our first account by yearend. Siemens is NOT JUST a cellphone/handset manufacturer. It is the USA's GE counterpart in Europe. Now is the best time to join the company because several GIANT players in the IT/Hi-tech industry are on the pipeline next year.

callboi22
Oct 9, 2005, 10:56 AM
Unfortunately, we are strict about our requirements. we only accept college graduates and competitive people. Priority will be given to an applicant who has an above average technical knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills or tenured TSRs from the outsourced DELL technical accounts. Applicants with less technical aptitude might be considered provided that he/she passed our technical exam and has an excellent command of spoken english.

Just got a txt msg from a former colleague. Siemens' office is located at the 23rd floor of Cybermall in Eastwood. They entertain walk-ins...I was also told that they offer a very competitive salary. Only techies allowed...hmmm...interesting.

If you're asking for the L1 position, they actually have L1 and L1 in training, and because of that, they have a different compensation package for the actual L1. It's a great advantage if you have Dell experience because most of the questions asked in the interview are for hard core techies :naughty: And yes, they are also hiring TLs :)

wow! apply na kayo sa Siemens! They are in need of a TECHY TSR!! Basic pay is 18k!!! basic palang yun! pero dapat techy ka talaga, pag hindi ka techy, 16k ang basic...and Siemens nga yan! kung nakita nyo ang office nila ay talagang spared no expenses!!!

how do they determine kung techy ka talaga o hindi? Get ready for a hard technical exam, then after that, a very comprehensive technical interview

are you up to the challenge?

i also got an invitation via sms from jobstreet to apply at siemens. i understand that all job openings are for technical positions only. that's why i'm a bit hesitant to pursue my application because i'm not exactly a tech person. although i've been in the call center industry for 4 years, i've only handled customer service related accounts. i'm currently working as a training consultant.

would you know if there are job openings for CS or trainer positions too?

nah, not entirely true. the support they give out is tied upon the warranty that toshiba provides. TSRs cannot ask the customer to open up the unit, as a Toshiba isn't built from customer-removable units, similar to what Dell has. Hence, all founded issues that require teardowns are automatically sent to Authorized Service Providers, something that Dell doesn't have.

*okay* ayos ba?!? *okay*

What I can say is...

There should be nothing to compare between Dell and Siemens.

Dell is a generous company while Siemens is an internationally recognized company.

Dell and Siemens are not outsource companies (although what Siemens is doing might be considered outsourcing to Toshiba and Fujitsu)

Dell is expanding to Libis (from Pasay) while Siemens is growing is CyberOne, Libis.

Finally, both Dell and Siemens are in the Fortune 500 unlike PeopleSupport, Ambergris and other outsourcers.

Di naman pahirapan onsite sa Toshiba basta ba nagbayad ng onsite entitlement sa warranty nila. Ang Toshiba kasi, more on business side unlike Dell na super customer satisfaction oriented. CSAT din siyempre ang habol sa Toshiba, pero hindi naman over.

Tips on the exams? Nothing special, just the basics. Example is what goes on during POST, basic networking questions, basic hardware questions, WinXP, some questions about Outlook, etc. etc. I'm sure it's going to be a cakewalk for you.

About the SOCS position, other than getting the most petiks times when we were on the same floor together, all I can really say is that they handle the Internal IT side of Siemens. Sometimes office applications assist, sometimes email assist, sometimes Internet connections assist. You know, office problems.

@LaGUNaMAN tips naman on the most FAQ ng mga caller sa Toshiba.. Im on training palang kasi and first time ko lang maging tech support medyo kinakabahan

Tips? Hmmm...

a.) Listen to seasoned agents pag nasa floor ka na. They may joke a lot (because of friggin boredom) but those guys/gals know their s#it.

b.) Don't EVER hesitate to ask. You'll find people more than willing to help out new guys. Remember (and this may sound cheezy to seasoned callguys and gals so my apologies.. hehe), YOU ARE A TEAM. Not just your current one, but the whole floor in general.

c.) You learn 5 percent in training and the rest pag nagka call ka na. ;)

d.) DON'T GET BORED... sobrang dali ng support sa Toshiba. As in! You'd be surprised about our scope or support there.

e.) Play DOTA, Airsoft, Basketball and Magic. It's good for you. :rotflmao:
