4 yearsold yata nursery, 5 is kinder, and 6 is prep, kung di mo pa kaya turuan mo muna anak mo, tapos pag 5 na pwede mo na syang ipasok ng kinder kahit wag na nursery, provided na kakayanin ng anak mo yung kinder kagad, siguro may entrance exam sila

nung below 24 months, nag once a week play group, tapos nang mag 2 1/2 years old summer preschool to try out kung puwede na siya magschool, tapos nang matapos summer, nursery na. ngayon nasa kinder 1 na siya na 5 days a week for 3 hours per day. okay naman kasi yung school lang ang socialization niya kasi nag-iisang bata siya sa bahay, e, sa school lang siya meron kalaro.

Dati, 7 years old ang grade 1 pero ngayon, 6 years old lang pwede na.

thanks sa mga advise niyo :) ipapasok ko siya sa parang tutoring school. have you heard about Smart Reader? in modules siya kaya maikli lang ang classes. para lang maturuan siyang mag read and write na at para masanay na siya getting up and preparing to school. sana nga this program will make him excell in the extrance exam to put him to kinder.

my 3yr old kid is currently in casa 1, but im planning to stop his schooling by next year and just get a home tutorial service for my son. this is just to avoid too much expenses since tuition fee nowadays is very high and though my son is enjoying in school, i dont want him to feel pressured at an early age...so, then at age 6, il be sending him to kinder, then grade 1. do you think it's just okay?
how bout you my dear mommies?

when my daughter turns 3 then i'll send her to school na. i just want to keep her muna at home. anyway, if you feel na ready na sya for school then papasukin mo na. mas magandang maaga pumapasok sa school ang mga bata kasi they learn to socialize with their fellow mates.

My daughter turns 3 year old last July and I've enrolled her last June at a pre-school just within the neighborhood, para d siya mapagod in terms of travelling. D pa nga straight magsalita. But now, malaki ang improvement nyiya. My purpose is for her to learn how to socialize, interact and learn new words.

My daughter's now 2 years and 2 months right now. My wife and I had her attend nursery back in june pa, she was just a year and 11 months then. we were a bit apprehensive at first, pero we saw that she became more sociable, and her speech improved greatly.
her teacher nga told us, na some schools accept kahit 1.5 y.o. pa lang. and the basic aim naman of nusery is to foster socializing/interacting with other kids (lalo na if only child, para he/she doesn't become spoiled or treat other kids badly), and the second is to develop their speech.
we have no regrets bringing her to school so early. pasok pa naman sa budget, and we're more than happy with the results. besides, may mga school activities sila wherein nakacostume sila, kaya hehe, cute!
the only thing siguro parents have to be wary of is that there is a big likelihood that your kid will easily get sick once they start going to school. kaya todo vitamins dapat.
my 2 cents. :binladen:

my eldest i sent him to school at 3 1/2, my second was four when she started schooling. but even before they went to school i already taught them the basics - ABC's, shapes, writing their names.
feeling ko kung earlier than that hindi pa sila talaga naka enjoy sa pagka baby nila at nagbo bottle feeding pa.
anyway kanya kanya sigurong pananaw yan kasi hindi naman withdrawn at super shy kids ko when they were very young kaya ok lang na hindi sila mag school at a super early age :)

sent my son to school when he was three and turned four mid of the schoolyear. I am not regretting the decision. my primary purpose was for him to explore and enjoy outside the house and he is getting that and more. I get surprised everytime he comes home and shows me what he had accomplished for the day. I feel proud that at four years old, my son knows how to write, to spell, to read simple words, even add using his fingers. Most importantly, I feel happy because he is happy with what he is doing.

i bought my 1year old son an educational program... comprises of three interactive learning materials. Combination of different materials preparing my kid for school. he will learn the abc, how to read and write the alphabet (lower and upper case), how to draw objects. (yes at that age...) hindi naman sya maprepressure kasi para lang sya naglalaro while developing his skills... for me, it is really an investment for my baby kasi from that program para akong nagpaaral ng 3 years sa preschool.

i'll update my pricelist this week ... would you rather have it on vcd format or are tapes just fine for your baby? pwede naman kasi naka-play lang throughout so he/she can learn by rote then match with the visuals later when he/she can distinguish between colors and shapes :)
pm me your preference

I sent my one and only son to school at age 3 1/2 and it was for a summer class before he could formally start for the school year.It is very important in parenting (http://justsimplyg.blogspot.com) that we are on hand. We may be career parents but it is important that we follow up whatever our children goes into. The foundation years of our children is very crucial as this is the time they develop the study habits which will help them in their formal school years.

I sent my eldest to school when he was 1 year 10 months old. The objective was for him to socialize with other kids since at that time he was an only child. That was when we realized that he enjoys school and up until now he is doing very good! He skipped the prep level after kindergarten and was accelerated to Grade 1. Now he is 7 years old and is an incoming Grade 3 student this June. He also has after school programs in Math and English where he does Grade 4 worksheets. He's also into basketball (trained with Ronnie Magsanoc at MAGS basketball camp), taekwondo (has won 3 national competitions and is a blue belter at age of 6), swimming, chess, playing the guitar and is learning chinese mandarin language. He just loves to do new things everytime and we wouldn't have known about it and his other potentials had we not put him to school at an early age.
Now, after 7 years we have been blessed with another son and I plan to do the same for him. As to the things that he would want to explore, we'll let him choose according to his interests just like his Kuya did!

My son will be 4 in September and he's starting preschool next month. We'll probably keep him there for 2 years, then send him to kindergarten at 6.

Yes. But I feel my son will be more ready to start kindergarten at 6. And his birthday is close to the cut-off.

we started sending our daughter to a preschool when she turned 3 yrs old. actually before that, alam na nya yung alphabets, numbers, colors, write some letters, read konte.. actually pwede ko naman syang turuan at home.
kaya lang maganda matuto syang makisalamuha with kids her age, at maenhance lalo communication skills nya. so far ok naman....

My baby is only 1.4 years old and she can now count pero 2,3 and 4 lang pero *** kamay nya nagbibilang hanggang ten. sinasabayan nya rin ang kanta ng "sit down... sit down..." pero down lang ang nababanggit nya... hehehe... pati strawberry shortcake song and baa baa black sheep, ginagaya na rin ang mga commercial without even teaching her, minsan nga nagulat ako, biglang sumigaw at hinawakan ang ulo, yun pala ginagaya ang commercial ng biogesic ni john lloyd. napaka funny and overwhelming.
I was sent to school when I was 5 na then grade 1 agad. Un din *** gagawin ko sa baby ko. I guess, mas magandang mommy muna ang magturo before letting her/him go to school kahit iskul bukol pa lang. i believe na mas marami syang matututunan sa poder ng magular kesa sa teacher sa school. and I guess, a child needs more time to learn more about love, family etc from the parents before going to school to learn about numbers and alphabet.
