My daily exercise is TAEBO. I bought the Billy Blanks tape. And I can say that I'm very much satisfied with the results. Instead of gaining a pound or so this Christmas..I even lost 5lbs. I hope you too could share your story when you tried the new fad in exerciseing...TAEBO!!

When I first joined it was hard for me, my coordination, etc. but now, I can do it and still having fun doing it. No pain no gain. It involves all your muscles and really put you to work. Firm muscles, tummy and no wagging of upper arms when U wave goodbyes to friends :)

Brutus,
Tae-bo is a unique blend of Tae Kwon Do, Boxing, and Aerobics, all set to a pulsating Funk and Hip Hop beat. It's a fat blasting series of jabs, punches, kicks and marches.
Tae-bo=Tae Kwon Do + Boxing

Thanks cool_vinzie.. we saw that TV shopping ad a couple of months ago and unfortunately, were not able to jot the number down. Recently, I saw an ad for an upcoming TV exercise show on cable (was it Star Sports?) that had a similar ring to Taebo. If I recall correctly, the show starts at 7 am only on weekdays. Sounds like a good way to start a day..

Aside from Taebo I do aerobics, jogging and lift weights, too and best of all I watched what I eat.

i tried tae boxing- it's this crunch video with billy blanks too- a lot cheaper than the original tae-bo video but very similar naman. it's consisted of two workouts, first is kickology adn the second is tae boxing jam. it's definitely not for beginners, ang hirap sobra just to keep your balance. kailangan well coordinated ka din because it's quite fastpaced...
where's my tae boxing tape now? kalso na ng computer table na hindi pantay...ng hindi na umuga pa. :)

It was easy for me (yabang no?) :) Pero seriously, I workout a lot kasi. I run miles and miles and also do some kickboxing at the gym. When I tried tae-bo, it was a piece of cake.
I also don't like working out at home, I'd rather be running outside or be in a class at Gold's.
But people are different with their fitness level. Ang masasabi ko lang, no matter what form of workout you do, keep doing it cause it's good for you.

TaeBo is a good cardio workout. Once you get the funk/hip-hop beat you can really get into it.
Dance with a punching bag, better to get one of those TKD kicking bags. Be sure to get hand and foot protectors or you will get blisters right away. TKD bags are rougher than punching bags.
Start slow if you want, with Dance or Alternative music. Dance in front of the bag and throw a punch or kick every 4th beat. It gives new meaning to one ... two ... three ... kick!
The benefits are great. You will be in good health, good shape and be able to throw a roundhouse when you have to.

Masakit sa katawan. Di pwede sa oldies :).
But if you want to lose weight or burn excess calories, this is the best way to do it.
Based on my last physical check-up, I have achieved my ideal weight and now, I need to load up on high-calorie food since I burn more than what I take.
TAEBO really works.

As it is drawn from taekwondo and boxing, can it be used for self-defense? Does it really teach you how to properly deliver a kick or punch or does it just ask you to punch anywhich way you like?

it can be used sa self defense din naman diba... well.. pero magmumukha kang ***** kse while punching your attacker, nagsasayaw ka.. hahahahaha... :)
(aliw **** tong bagong pakana ng pex!)

i bought the taebo tape last year... it helped me lose 3 kilograms i gained over the summer. i didn't do it regularly during the school year 'cause i had training naman, but i've been doing it more regularly now that it's summer again.
anyway... taebo is great... the advanced excercise tape can -really- make you lose weight.
don't jump into it though... well, last summer, i gained some weight, so besides taebo, i did all sorts of stuff pa to exercise off the extra pounds... bowling, badminton, rollerblading, swimming. then in the first week of class i suddenly got numb from the waist down, i could barely make it to the clinic. i went to the doctor's the day after, fortunately, it was just a muscle spasm. i couldn't do any vigorous activity for like a week though, but there were stretches i had to do and eventually i was ok.
the moral of the story is: don't overdo it!
oh yeah... i heard you can actually get taller through pilates. (well, not really, but you 'straighten out' so you stand taller.)

I haven't tried TAEBO but I'm yearning to :D
My friend's been doing it for like a few months and she looks neat!
I don't really work out..hehe kaya ayun when I finally get around to exercising again, my muscles ache big time!
It'd be nice to work out with somebody don't u think? :D

the first few times really gave me a body ache syempre ibang klase yung ganun na work out diba...pero okay na after awhile and it really works but then you have to do it regularly...mas maganda siguro if paminsan minsan iba naman yung gamitin mo na level...on days that you don't have time pero you want to atleast exercise kahit ilang minutes lang try the basic...slow pero very powerful =)

I only tried it once. Off-season kasi, so I thought I'd try it para hindi naman ako totally out of shape. Akala ko it was easy, pero man, napagod talaga ako! If you do it regularly talaga, I'm sure you'll lose weight.

Take care to prevent injuries so be sure to watch the instructional tape first...you're not supposed to extend your legs and arms fully when your kicking and boxing... :D

I can manage that with my arms, but I can't control my legs which just fly out wildly when I kick! Especially during the series of fast alternating kicks sunod-sunod, how do you possibly reign them in, help! You mean those girls on the video who are kicking so high above the head aren't extending their legs fully? How?

i just started this taebo workout and i must say, magandang maganda siya! talagang tatagaktak ang pawis sa mga singit singit mo and you're only doing it for 15 minutes (basic tape)!!! sabi nila you get the results in 6 weeks time and i am just on my first week.
i'm doing the 21-day challenge. sabi nila kase na para ma stick ka sa taebo workout, gawin daw yung 21-dc. dito raw makikita kung dedicated ka talaga.
i haven't seen any results (hello! 5 days pa lang ako sa 21-dc) pero i must say na I FEEL GOOD! ibang klase ang feeling!
try taebo! hindi 'to fad!
