Our PD (course adviser) urges us to apply/join an OJT facilitated by FirstPlace Inc. abroad (we could choose either to work at USA, Europe, Canada etc.). We could earn as much as 11,000 USD for just 4 months of work (March - June). I want to grab the opportunity, for that not only translates to a fat paycheck, but it'll also be a asset for applying a job in the future. BUT, the sad part is, undergrads will have to work menial jobs, that means service crew, cashier or anything of the sort. I am a 3rd year IT student and my parents would only allow me to go if the OJT is in line with my course.
Here's my concern, can anyone recommend other agencies that do this kind of stuff? I mean sending interested students from different schools abroad for an OJT that is related to their course. Thank you! *okay*
