The other Technical Writing threads have lots of good information about how to start in the business, as well as the state of tech writing in the Philippines. To keep those threads focused, and to keep openings from getting buried like the other job ads, I figured it would be better if job related info were kept in a separate thread . . . hence this one.

These are other major tech writing threads on Pex:

This could be a good entry-point for fresh-grads techwriter wannabe's, or people who want to be techwriters but don't have relevant experience.

I'm not endorsing the company nor the merits of this particular position. Evaluate the job opening for yourself. Just want to help people who want to get in the techwriting field. I'm seeing a few in this forum. BTW, I'm a techwriter myself.

I will be leaving my post as Technical Writer next month (July). In line with this, my immediate supervisor wants me to refer qualified people who may take over my job.

Send me a PM and I will provide you with my email details (where you can send your resume/CV), where I am working, and the specific job details. There will be also an ad in Manila Bulletin on Sunday, June 18.

Thanks.

Does anyone have an idea what the average salary of a mid-level technical writer (like someone with 6 years techwriter experience, plus 5 years relevant experience) is in Taiwan? What are the standard benefits? I'm looking for job opportunities outside of the Philippines, particularly in other Asian countries. Hope someone can give me a clue on what to expect. Thanks in advance.
