hello peepz!

saw on tv a piece of news by abs cbn that you can earn between 10k to 100k as medical transcriptionist.

made me wonder, which is better: medical transcriptionist or call center agent?

kaso, tila walang masyadong may alam tungkol dito.

ito na nga kaya ang susunod na boom after call centers?

yes but i heard that the U.S. will be prohibiting patient files to be shipped out of the U.S. for it to be transcribed. since the the ones that your about to transcribed are patients regarding there condition from what i undertsand is that you have to listen to the doctors voice for you to transcribed but it's not an easy task if your not fast in typing.

U mean yung parang stenographer sa korte ang siste?
Pero bakit nabanggit dun sa napanood ko (TV) mei
voice recording system. So it means ire-record mo muna
yung conversation bago i-transcribe.... so di naman kelangan sobrang bilis mo talga mag type.

i think, they'l prioritize applicants with medical background, para medyo familiar na sa complex medical terms...

btw, do you guys know any MT job openings?

meron nga voice record ng doctor yun you have to be very familiar with the medical terms it would be very hard for a medical trancriptionist to decipher what the doctor is talking about. dito sa diliman preparatory sa me commonwealth meron sila mt but you need to pass the exams meron din sa west ave. building kung nasaan ang ched at ang villman malapit sa sm north edsa you also need to pass the exams before they will accept you

i don't know with you guys.. but don't believe everything what you hear about medical transcriptionists earning that much.. honestly, i am one, but i don't get to earn that much.. also, you can also earn 9-11k if you have at least a year experience and 13-18k belongs to those who are already editors with at least 2-6 years experience and training as editors. those who earn bigger than these salaries are those who do home-based medical trans for either direct client from the states or sub-contractors from US companies, but before that happens, you have to have a minimum experience of 2 years... it's easier working for call center companies than being a med transcriptionist..trust me guys...been there, done that.. resign na nga ako mamaya.. hehehe
