does anyone know of a diet that really works??? i really need to lose weight....like 30 lbs!! nyek!

I hope this will help: =)

-Exercise a lot and do weight training to tone up your muscles. I heard that if you only do aerobic exercise, your frame just gets smaller but you won't look lean and fit. (btw, use light weights like 2-3 pounds cuz if you use heavy weights, you will build bulk and may possibly look bigger)

-Drink lots and lots of water and don't eat a heavy dinner.

-Stay away from carbohydrates like rice, pasta and breads because though carbs are our first source of energy, we don't burn it fast enough and whatever we don't burn just turns into fat. Instead, eat lots and lots of veggies and small servings of lean meat)

- Instead of eating 3 big meals a day, eat a lot of small portions to speed up your metabolism.

-DON'T STARVE!!! Cuz if you do, your body will think you have run out of food and will burn your calories even slower because it's trying to conserve your source of energy-- fat.

before you go on a crash diet, maybe u should find out if u indeed need to lose weight. if u do feel unhealthy, cut back on fatty foods and join a gym or get involved in some other physical activity. but if the reason is simply aesthetic (i.e. u just want to look like a model), then i suggest u forget about the diet altogether. most girls i know feel fat although they really aren't. in any case, good luck MANGO88!

whatever u do, don't starve urself or skip meals. it messes up ur metabolism. lalo ka pa tataba =P

btw, YES i really need to lose weight...mukha na akong nanay!! and i'm only in my early 20s!! nyek! :\

i'm not so fat, but i still need to loose some weight just to reach a normal weight for my height. i almost tried everything, herbal teas and pills even xenical and bangkok pills to think i just need to loose at least 10 lbs. or less. i did loose 4 lbs. with those expensive pills and i also got hemoroid for it (another gatos sa pagpapagamot!). what i did a few weeks ago i lessen my food intake esp. with rice meaning crakers (BFAST), 1/2 rice & veggie/fish (LUNCH), and 1/4 rice & veggie/fish (DINNER) plus 5 mins. exercise every night, now i only need to loose 2 or 3 lbs. and to make my story short discipline in eating + exercise...happy dieting!!!

my rule of thumb has become:
*less or no red meat
*more fish and veggies
*less carbo
*no sodas
*more water
*as much as possible, nothing fried
*junkfood really once in a while lang (i *don't believe in complete deprivation)
*no starvation diets
*smaller meals spread out during the day
*eat when you're hungry but know when you're full

but then again, when you're as busy as i am, you can just forget to eat, and that in itself can be a problem.
