Not sure if they accept non college graduates sa CSC (call center). Sa Finance required ang college gradute.

Good pm guys.. I would like to share something...

Tuesday lastweek, Laika from John Clements texted me for a CSP post for a multinational company which I know is Shell nga.

So the following day, I went to JC and had lots of interviews, exams and role play. At the end of the day, Wendy gave me a slip and told me about my client interview for the next day.

So, the following day, I had my client interview. When I entered the room, I was kind of intimidated because there are four of them who's going to conduct the interview. One is from HR, from Workforce, Operations and from Quality. But good thing, they are all very nice and accomodating, I felt at ease during the interview and was able to answer all their questions as honest and specific as I can. :) But I really felt that "ginigisa" nila ako. I can really feel that the spotlight is on me. So after the interview, they told me JC will contact me for the results within two weeks. I'm not really sure if I'm going to pass but I am still very optimistic since I noticed that they have lots of questions on me which is, for me, a sign that they really are interested in me. Btw, before the start of the interview, they said they're going to refer to a US account and if ever I passed, job offer will be July while the training will start in August which for me is still okay. :)

I was so surprised when Laika from JC texted me yesterday around 9am saying I passed the interview and now shortlisted. They asked me to email my latest payslip on that same day which I did.

Guys, does it mean that I'm almost part of the Shell family? When they asked me to email my payslip, does it mean that they are already finalizing their job offer to me? If ever, who's gonna call me for the job offer, will it be Shell or JC?

I'll gladly appreciate all your replies guys:love:

ah makikipag negotiate pa iyan sa sweldo. One thing I didn't like with John Clements was that they were not that transparent to me when Shell wanted to present a JO. Lumabas na iniipit ako ng JC sa pwedeng offer sa salary.

Candidates have the option to apply through an agency or submit resume directly to Shell office.

Bad experience applying in SSSC

I posted this on the other SSSC thread as well

Hi all! I would like to share what happened with my job application in SSSC. About 3 weeks ago I was informed by SSSC HR that I was up for a JO WITHIN the week. A week passed when they told me that there had been changes in the account where I was supposed to be assigned, so they set me up for an interview with a manager from another group. Got a call a couple of days later from HR informing me, again, that I was up for a JO WITHIN the week. A week later they sent me the background check documents which I filled-up, scanned, and emailed back to them on the same day. Fast forward another week HR called me again, only this time, to inform me that my application was put on hold. I'm not completely sure if I got it correctly, the reason, she said, was that as per SSSC protocols available positions would be given first to those applicants from the 'temp agencies'(not sure about this).

Because they told me that I was up for a JO already I turned down a job offer from I**, dropped my application with C******, and almost cancelled my scheduled interviews with J*******. I know it was foolish of me to have dropped my applications with the other MNCs but, hey, I took SSSC HR's word that a JO was really coming soon. I feel I was treated unfairly since they took back their word not just once, but TWICE! I think technically this was misconduct commited by SSSC HR. Has anyone had the same expereince?

^ Thats so bad.. and thanks for posting your bad experience.... we learned a lot. But I am not saying Shell was bad. The lesson here is that "maging segorista"... Don't turned down offers until you already made up your mind and already sign up for JO in respective companies. Of course, Shell has its own interest... tayo din!

I have my final interview with Shell Services via John Clements and the interviewee asked me if I can wait till August. I nod Yes. So what I did, since matagal pa naman, alangan naman mag tambay ka.. aaply uli sa iba and sign up for a co,.. pag dumating na yon.. eh di magresign ka sa current co. mo..

Di rin ah... I walked in RCBC II 39flr.and left my resume(SHELL OFFICE-RECEPTION) & after 3mos. JC texted me for the application nga in SHELL. I therefore conclude na... depende siguro sa position kung puwedeng directly SHELL na maghandle ng application mo or JC.

I applied for CUSTOMER SERVICE. Pero mukhang mas may opening and ramping up yung BACKOFFICE. So Backoffice pala yung FINANCE DEPARTMENT nila na mag start this AUGUST???

That's correct, not only for Shell but with other companies as well. There's no guarantee until the candidate sign up the offer. They can no longer back out once the candidate sign up because they have the responsibility to fulfill the agreement.

If you have the option, wait for the JOs and select the best offer. Normally, companies give candidates several days to finalize their decision.

They do process applications through jobstreet, JC and other executive search partners. OK naman kung through JC. It save HR some time in doing initial screening, and of course Shell expects quality candidates through JC.

that is for a customer service professional post. regarding the salary, we are not allowed to disclose it. just a heads up, just like what other shell shared employees are saying, if you are looking for a high base salary, this is not the company for you. They were not able to match my current base pay in cvg, but their nontax allowance is almost double of mine..yun na! :D let's just not look on the salary, let's also consider the benefits and most importantly, the company stability.

Havent been to this site for quite a while. Ive been with Shell for almost 3 years now and all I can say is that we have a very low attrition rate. As in VERY LOW. i think i'm not qualified, *** monday na pala simula. :)
how many months re-application?? 3months? or 6 months?:hmm:

Start date varies depending on the requirement. Once or twice a month may onboarding or orientation. You're not sure kung same yung application mo with those who will start on Monday.

Hard to tell... basic pay depends on many things, such as candidate's work experience, educational background and suitability to the open position among others.

onga. ano acceptable salary range para makapag apply ulit hahaha kasi i applied through john clements. passed 2 interviews and the exams. nung 3rd interview na, they asked me what my preferred salary range is. i said 25-30k. small difference lang naman if compared to my current salary. btw, i also told them what my current salary is nung first interview pa lang. then they asked me if i'm ok with 20k including allowances na. geez! nadisappoint ako dun hahaha i stood my ground and politely told them that i'm currently earning this amount and i'd prefer a slightly higher or equal offer. i said i'm willing to compromise with 23-25k. i've been working in the call center industry for 5 years already. 1 yr in a different call center, 4 years in the current call center im in. the figures that i cited is just standard or even peanuts to some call centers. the girl who interviewed me said that she'll inform her boss and that i should receive a call from shell within a week. it's been way more than a week already. i even made 2 follow-ups to John Clements via text ni ho ni ha nada! hahaha

Tagal ng process sa JC. I had 2 interviews in JC. Initial & Final. I never experienced the client interview pa (i read na people from SHELL will do it). Approximately ( 2mos. ) na since last application ko in JC for SHELL. I followed-up sa JC & I will receive notification na lang daw from them.

Anyways still hoping, kahit I feel rejected.

I believed that college graduates of any course are accepted. Although some departments preferrred Accounting graduates or those graduates of business related courses.

They do not accept non-college graduates in Finance (back office). Just not sure if they accept non-college graduates for customer service jobs.

so FINANCE DEPARTMENT pala ang back office... Tingin ko baka mas HIRING yung CSP DEPARTMENT eh... and kaunti lang attrition kamo dito sa SHELL so talagang napaka tagal ang hiring process...

wala pa kong client interview...

can i ask JC to either put me in the CSP DEPT. na lang???
tutal i applied for csr post naman.

Finance operations is hiring... not sure about CSP as I'm from Finance.

Anyway, there is no harm in trying and tell JC that you prefer CSP. But in the end, it will still be JC's decision where to endorse you based on their perception of your qualifications.

Just apply directly to Shelll as previously advised to you by one of the PEXters here.

That is correct. Go to JOHN CLEMENTS. Ako na nagsasabi, 1 1/2 years na ako with Shell. Sabihin mo sa JOHN CLEMENTS sa shell yung a-applyan mo. Pero if they know na hindi ka qualified for the job with shell, sa iba ka nila ilalagay. At least hindi sayang ang pagpunta mo kasi hindi ka man pumasa for shell, meron namang ibang pwedeng bagsakan. And besides they will really help and give you coaching. May specific procedure for shell that John Clements follows, kung hindi mo matapos or makapasa therefore hindi ka pumasa for shell. Go to JOHN CLEMENTS. Don't waste your time.

To answer your questions...
Dapat ba dumaan sa JC - No
Pwede bang mag walk-in - Yes
Pwede ba college undergraduate - Yes for Customer Service
Employee referral - Yes

Walk-in - submit resume to 21F Solaris One, 130 Dela Rosa Street, Legaspi Village, Makati City.

The receptionist will just receive your resume and inform you to wait for a call from HR.

Email - ssscmla.careers@shell.com

on JC - Shell have other executive partners aside from JC. You can even apply through jobstreet, just search for the openings.

Employee Referral - Shell has an employee referral program. You can ask a friend who works for Shell to forward your resume to HR.

For those who are waiting too long and don't get response, better consider other companies. There are other companies aside from Shell. You said that you really want to work for Shell, but what are you going to do if it's not happening? It's a waste of time to wait forever. Just need to be realistic.

Good Luck!!!

I am currently working as a Back Up QA Monitor in one of the Call Centers here in Ortigas, Back Up kasi hindi pa dumadating yung "papel" ko. Pero sa August one year na ako sa pakikinig ng calls at pagcocoach ng mga agents. Gusto ko na sana ng ibang line of work, may mga jobs ba sa Shell Shared Services na walang kinalaman sa pagtetake ng calls at paggamit ng headset? hmm...Banking and Finance and degree ko. yup yup....i first tried applying last january thru jc pero magulo nangyari..after few months, jc texted me 2nd week of May for my application as CSP for a multinational oil company so i already know that it will be SHELL. Ayun, i went to jc wednesday. I got there arond 11am and was able to finish the whole process by 4am(including lunchbreak). They scheduled me for my client interview the following day. So after a very tedious interview , jc contacted me MOnday the following week to inform me that i got shortlisted and needs to email my payslip.

Then Shell called me first week of June and told me that training will start by June29 na and my job offer will be scheduled for the following week. I was actually surprised that we're goping to start very early. Because during my client interview, they gave me a heads-up that job offer will be by July and training will start by August. But it's ok atleast napaaga paglayas ko sa CVG:naughty:

Probably i was just lucky that i applied at the right time because i didn't really wait that long unlike from our seniors here they waited months. but nevertheless, it's still very rewarding to be part of this wonderful company. Most of my teammates came from cvg. hsbc and jp morgan who are high-paying companies but they still chose Shell since the work environment is not toxic and the benefits are really superb.*okay* They are the type of company that REALLY PROMOTES work-life balance*okay*

I walked in (FEB 2009) RCBCII 39flr. for MY APPLICATION
in SHELL. Tapos (MAY 2009) JC processed my application, pinasa
ng SHELL sa JC resume ko.

Di ko alam kung FAILED BA YUNG APPLICATION KO FOR BACK OFFICE SA SHELL....(Last May pa ito).
My last interview c/o JC was from WENDY.

And yun na, wala nakong narinig niha niho... THIS MONTH DAW ANG HIRING FOR THAT POST(back office). Bale I'm done with the exams in JC.

I had my apprehensions sa tinatakbo ng application ko sa SHELL via JC kaya I left my resume in SOLARIS last July...

What should I do na ba??

@24, you can pm me so that i can give you my email address for me to refer you right away*okay*

@ freshbabe, since you said you haven't received any call yet from jc after your final interview but you were told that you passed and just needs schedule for client interview with Shell, you should just take the initiative to go back to john clements and talk to either wendy or laika and followup. Because if you'll just go to solaris and submit again your resume', hr will still forward it to jc. If you really are interested, take the initiative. do not just wait for their call since it was already time immemorial....

hi Posh_Beckham.. do you think its better to submit the resume to jc rather than to the solaris office? do you tell jc that you're applying at shell so they'll know where to refer your application? because i understand, it's not only shell that they're head hunting for.. any advice, please?

yes you can go directly to jc. just look for either wendy or laika. these two girls handle applicants for Shell.

I agree with posh, have the initiative to contact jc and followup. Much better if you can go back to their office on basement 2 to show that you really are interested. Because if you're just contented on just waiting for their call and doing pex, they will think otherwise.

a lady from shell called me up last week and requested for a copy of my payslip. i emailed the payslip on the same day but up to now i haven't receive a call from them again.

when shell requested for a copy of an applicant's payslip does that mean he/she is being sched for a job offer soon? is there a class starting this august?

i am currently employed so i would really like to know if i will be given a JO soon because i intend to render 15 to 30 days notice before i leave my current employer.

I just had my interview last Friday (that was around 6:45PM). I'm not sure if that's the initial interview or final cause the interviewer apparently was the Ops Manager (I'm applying for a HR Service Desk).

It was a one hour interview, he said that within this week they will give a feedback regarding my performance during that said interview. I'm hoping for the best, since all throughout the interview, he seems to be happy talking to me. I don't know.

Regarding Compensation, does SSSC pays well?

Being the biggest company in the world, lets just say that Shell (in this case Shell Shared Services) is the company of choice by many. Im sure the HR team receives a lot of CVs from a ton of applicants daily. The initial call may take some time (if HR finds the candidate qualified). But when you get in, you wont be disappointed with the culture, the feeling of being in a very stable company, the compen and ben package and etc. The wait will be worth it! btw: i went through the same process and im really thankful that im in. :)

I called (JC), but its just false promises.. they'll get back at me.. or the person I had my last interview there was BUSY:grrr:. I think it's BEST for you to go back to their office(JC). Which I never had the chance to do coz there are applications that are faster & needs my attention. Kumbaga even if SHELL is a GOOD COMPANY. If it's A SLOW PROCESS it's like a slowly killing you... PROCESS...na you might THINK NA IT'S A REJECTION. I might as well TRY MY OPTIONS ELSEWHERE. Last August pa nga yung sinabi ng JC sa kin na HIRING NG POSITION na assigned sa kin sa SHELL & 4 mos. ago pa since my LAST WALK-IN sa JC. So If I go back I think i'll be doing "STEP A" again. DI BA JOHNCLEMENTS??? (whoever in the HR HERE... please CLARIFY THIS) I THINK JC WILL BE RE-ASSESING MY APPLICATION TO A DIFFERENT COMPANY...IF I GO WALK-IN AGAIN IN JC.

Nope. There are recruiting firms that helps Shell fill in our vacancies (which i cannot disclose). And yes, Addforce isnt part of the list. For CSP, JC is just one of two firms that helps hire for our Customer Service Centre. The rest (JC included) are concentrated on our needs for other vacancies (for Finance Ops, HR Service Centre etc.)

True, Shell is an equal-opportunity employer, and they base their hiring and promotion on skills, intelligence, potential and competence rather than on some paper that says you are a degree holder.

I have previously worked for Shell Shared Service Centre. The application process was the most tedious one I have ever experienced in my entire life. The exams, the interview...sobrang haba at mabusisi.

hello. tanong ko lang. sobrang strict ba dito pag dating sa job requirement ng applicants? yung mga nakikita ko kasi na naka-post sa jobstreet, yung pinaka minimum na years ng working experience 2 years. then mostly nakalagay may background sa acctg., mga acct. payable, etc. but in my case, i'm a graduate of business management, i have a working background of 1yr. 3 mos. in a BPO co. back-office position/insurance product. will i be considered pag mag-aapply ako??? thanks in advance.

Yep. But just be patient in the application process.

Yes we need a lot customer service reps (undergrads are welcome) and more for our finance vacancies (degree holders preferably with experience). Since you lost your phone, im sure your smart enough to go to JC and update them/get feedback and not just sit around doing nothing.

Matagal process ng application but for me, it's worth the wait naman. It's not just the salary, but how we are taken care of as employees. I waited like 6 mos before I got accepted way back 2006. Im on my 3rd year in Shell now. :)

you didn't get the point? :bop:

It only means that Shell is an equal opportunity employer wherein they don't mind if you are a graduate or not (atleast for CSC) as long as you meet the necessary competencies for the position you are applying for.

Mas mabuti ng undergrad ka at na-promote, isang patunay na matalino ka. Kaysa naman naka-graduate ka nga, t@ng@ ka naman. :p

Rock 44, ask ko lang po why di puwede malaman yung ibang head hunters baket yung JC puede? i tried na kc several times sa JC lagi ako follow-up ala feed back. I think I might have better chances pag sa ibang head hunter ako mag apply kasi pag direct nag try na din ako wala pa din.

JC is one of two companies thats accredited to handle assessments for Customer Service. The rest is limited to vacancies outside CSC (Finance, HR etc). We just cant share the other firms that we have because its against company policy to let our partners know their competitors.

actually, it doesn't matter if you walkin or just submit the resume either directly to our office or online. It's your assessment that will say if you will fare for the company. You can go directly to JC for faster processing. *okay*

Hi,

I recently received a text message from someone named "Joanna" from John Clements stating that I am being invited to apply for Shell shared Services -referred by someone according to the text message.

Is this a normal incident? Quite surprised how my cellular phone number reached them since I have not recently applied.

Sorry for the bother.

Thanks!

napakadaling makipag-swap ng sched. jsut make sure you send email to your TL and Ops Sup, if they approved it, that's it. *okay* No hassle of going to workforce pa for plotting, approve or some sort. You can swap sched for a day or two, or for the whole month, depende sa usapan nyo ng makaka-swap mo.

ei thanks for the reply.. last question.. would there be any reason for the tl or the om to decline a request? example meron na ka swap and everything? my instances ba na decline pa din nila?
