skuidward, fyi lang, the pretermination fee is almost always double of what your subscription is. in my case, i would have to pay 5,000 if i want to cancel my 2500/month subscription. and that fee is applicable kahit pa tapos na yung one year or two-year contract mo with PLDT dsl. highway robbery talaga!!!

guys i think ganito yan.. sa eksaktong time nyo dapat ipapautol *** dsl nyo kung gusto nyong walang termination fee.. so for example last month *** expiration nung two-year contract ko, this month kelangan ko na ipaputol kasi kapag hindi, they will automatically renew(without informing you) your two year contract.. pag ngyari un, aantayin mo pa ulit *** expiration nugn bago mong two year contract para ipaputol na walang termination fee.. hope this helps..

at hersheys85, I think it really depends on location. For me in Caloocan, it's really good and I"m very satisfied with the 999 service I get. It's worth every penny since hindi pa ako nadodown ever. And my connection is quite good since I usually hit 28kB/s in my downloads.
Just my 50 cent.

Ahhh...Meaning 2 weeks prior ng end of contract...dapat i-inform mo na yung PLDT para sa disconnection para walang abala.

hmmm.... i just made the switch. was a destiny user just last week and now i'm a convert. connection is steady. my plan is 1995 and i'm getting the speed i paid for. sabi nung tech guy na pumunta i was just the 6th subscriber on the node kaya mabilis pa. unfortunately, parang nagsisisi ako sa paglipat ko. my destiny connection was so much faster. i was paying for a 512kbps connection but i almost always get around 2mbps. inconsistent nga lang dahil sa dami ng downtime.
haaayyy... i hope things will be better.

^ yung ibang dns servers kasi ng pldt, down palagi. especially in my case. during the first week, ok lahat. i didn have any problems accessing different sites. pero one day, ayun, di na gumana karamihan sa sites. the customer reps wont tell you anything you didnt know. kesyo down daw yung pinupuntahan kong site, try again later, etc!
so i searched around and tried changing dns settings. voila, nabuksan ko na lahat ng 'down' na site. no more surfing problems. up to now, wala nang problema sa connection ko.
pano ba magbago ng dns settings? hehehe..ndi ko alam ang gagawin ko

Hiya! My DSL connection is working fine until I reformat my hard disk yesterday and now i'm just having around 15-22 kb/s. I'm not sure about the problem, but the lan icon's status is "limited or no connectivity". wala namang message na ganun sa lan icon bago ako magformat. pwede rin siguro ito sa pldt ang problema, and nagkasabay lang dun sa pag-format ko. ano sa tingin niyo? i have a 256 connection and dati mga 28-30 kb/s ang download speed. I already updated the lan drivers and changed the cables but still no improvement.

try changing the lan cards.. possible yun lan card ang problema.. and also lan cable..

On-board yung lan card ko eh. I already updated the drivers. Kung yung UTP cable naman ang papalitan ko eh magastos pa.

yup, dont fret too much... i called PLDTdsl Hotline and they told me that they have been receiving reports about this connection downtime....
mine's back to normal in a matter of 2 days...

Ako dapat 512kbps (plan 1995), ang nakukuha ko ngayon parang 384 lang, so yung usual 56-60KB/s downloads ko naging 42-45 lang... lugeeeeee
Pare pareho lang ba tayo ng lugar? Las Pinas ako...

Ako rin nagkakaproblema, from 28-31 kBps down to 18-20 . Kailangan pang tumawag sa PLDT para maresolba to? Eh ang hirap hirap tumawag sa customer hotline nun.
They should do something about this... FAST!

me also! I signed up for 512 kbps and cleary written on the application form but getting only 384 kbps from their local bandwidth test. I don't use to this speed I think we should ask for a rebate.

wtf is going on!?!?!? i called pldt's customer service and the csr told me na my connection is ok!? from the regular 28 to 30 KBps all i'm getting now is 19 to 20 KBps normal un? jeez... i tested my connection at globequest, what i got was 32.66 KBps, pldtplay 21.66.. pero when i went and tested it at testmy.net here's what i got..

holy cra.p!!! somethings up... hmmm, how do you take a screenshot of ur bittorent client?? i'm asking kasi abnormnal ang upload rate ko. anybody on pldt's 999 here?? my speed is back to normal but my upload speed has gone nuts!! downloading at 30 KBps but i'm uploading at 64KBps yes that's right, 64.. :eek: :eek:

^ That only means na may taga-PLDT rin sa torrent. I had a number of occassions na na-exceed ang download bandwidth ko dahil taga-PLDT DSL rin ang nag-uupload sakin.
Ok ka pa nga sa normal download speed e. Ako pumunta na dito ang technician at lahat ganun parin (yung 512 naging 384).

Read in www.bworld.com that there is a new PLDT-HP bundling deal. I can't access the article since it's by subscription, so will have to wait til Monday to read it. Anybody know anything about this? Will it be similar to the dsl-computer bundling promo they had recently? Btw, I availed of that promo but never got the computer - problem with backlog. Need a nice printer more than a computer so this could be good for me.

^^ I've gotten either a 10 or 11 on my speed test this morning. What's wrong with pldt? I was eager to download a huge file since yesterday but never got on it because of the slow speed WE'RE experiencing. Anong sinasabi sayo ng pldt?

PLDT has no credibility. In their advertising and promotion its clear that its up to 512 Kbps but after 2 months they downgraded it to up to 384 kbps plus lying to their teeth that 300 kbps is very fast already! If thats that case how about media streaming which requires more than 350K and downloading now at least 25 percent much longer? Neither do I want to honor the contract anymore nor pay the bills especially those advance payments. If they don't fix I'll just unsubscribe both their phone and DSL and shift to other DSL services which also can offer 384 kb/s by day and 640 kb/s by midnight at prices 500 pesos cheaperl!

I beg to disagree on that point. If you're gonna just have it terminated (after your contract) there would be no termination fee whatsoever.
Pero pag naglapse na yung contract mo tapos gusto mo mag downgrade ng plan, kailangan daw magbayad nung sinasabi mong 5,000, which is also highway robbery from my point of view. Kaya tinerminate ko tapos lumipat na lang ako ng ibang provider.

Consider first kung pwede sa inyo ng Globe dsl w/c offers 384Kbps for the same price

^^I agree with floreno. Try out first kung pwede ang globe. Pldt's service tend to "fluctuate". Hindi siya stable as to what you are paying for.

Im getting an average of 25KB/s on the test.
I know we can go on and test the speed with a plethora of test sites out there but still, were not getting what were paying. Grabe, halos 10 na lang kahapon ang download speed ko. Hindi sya consistent na 25 or 24 man lang. I'll email pldt.

bakit nga biglang bumaba ang speed? i just noticed this yesterday.. everytime i use a torrent client, bumabagal ang pag load ng mga sites. not to mention mabagal din *** download rate ko sa torrent (im using bitlord). what i do now in order to surf the net at a decent rate, i shutdown bitlord. normal b talaga to as in me nangyari sa pldt recently? or malas *** talaga? help nmn oh... am downloading something pa nmn. thx in advance

i applied for the student plan last friday, and already received a text from them sending me my username and password for the email. how much longer till i get connected? how long did it take for you guys to get connected because i checked the site and it says 2-4 weeks and isn't that a little long?

Is the P999 for students promo of PLDT myDSL still on-going?
It's been available to everyone ever since. It's just one of the unpublished plans. There's another unpublished plan, Plan 1499 (384kbps up/256kbps down)
how long did it take for you guys to get connected because i checked the site and it says 2-4 weeks and isn't that a little long?
My girlfriend got connected within 2 days. She applied through one of the PLDT agents (not 171). It would also depend on your area though.

pldt sucks. don't apply for PLDT DSL. im warning you peeps. speed ko dapat max 60KBps, pero 40% of the time 15KBps lang nakukuha ko. be forewarned. and the customer service, terrible...

Hey guys I have just applied to pldt mydsl last monday, and i have bought a separate ethernet adpater pa kahit na may built in n pala ako!!!
anyway, kinakabahan tuloy ako sa mga comments dito..... kasi i will be investing on internet connection, from dial-up na 440 a month magiging 1,000 na ang internet ko.... anytime during the week a tech guy will be installing dsl to my pc, pero natakot talaga ako sa mga comments!!!
can anyone tell me good things (if ever meron) about switching from dial-up to pldt dsl 999 promo? (e-mail me naman or mack me @ sinister7zex@yahoo.com) please guys i need some good as well as other bad comments about pldt dsl.....

sinister7zex: meron namang magandang nangyari sa internet experience ko since we switched from dial-up to dsl. Palaging on ang internet, you can chat on the phone while online, unlimited use and before i am getting 30-32KB/sec downloads.
Ang akin lang naman eh kung noon nakaka benefit kami ng full sa 256kb connection, bakit ngayon hindi na nila maiprovide sa amin yun?
Antayin mo na lang dumating yung tech guy sa inyo. Tapos test mo kagad ang download speed mo.

I came across this thread at just want to share my experiences with pldt. I was excited to get a dsl line that I only thought of pldt - my reason, they already have their lines installed and surely, their years of being in the telecommunications business must account for something. And so my journey began. I applied for a dsl line last august, and it was finally and successfully installed only the last week of september ( I should have taken that as a sign). Problem with line is the excuse they gave me for the delay. Okay, I can understand that - and so I thought that was the end of it. Oh NO! For the first week, I would only get a decent dsl line for about 4 hours per day. AArgh!! Whats the use of having a dsl line if you can't use it right?? So I called and called and called - to no avail. Finally after a week of stalking the dsl technical service - they came to the house and just look at the modem (I said look). They said its just normal for the line to be unstable. Like Hello?? Im paying for a 24/7 service and its not what Im getting. Urgh.
I still stalk the technical service now and then. Actually, I think their customer service already know me from the number of times Ive called. hahaha. So to all those people who wants to get a dsl line. Do your research. Scout around and ask people you know how other services fare.

i'm just wondering. i'm sure sa dami ng members dito sa forum na ito ay may kakilala naman siguro sa PLDT. may nakakapag-banggit ba sa kanila na magbasa ng mga threads na ito at ipabasa sa mga kinauukulan sa PLDT. kaya tuloy ang lakas ng patama ng bayantel sa advertisements nila sa TV about PLDT's service. sana lang nababasa ng mga taga-PLDT yung mga kagaya nitong mga forums para naman may idea sila from their users na may problema talaga ang kanilang service.

^ i highly doubt na hindi pa nila alam un.. alam ko pati sa forums mismo ng pldt eh maraming galit na galit sa service nila.. they are not doing anything about it because they simply do not care.. eto iniiisip nila:
-wala na tayong magagawa kasi naka-contract na tayo
-kahit na ipa-terminate natin mga kontrata natin, marami pa ring silang subscribers(feeling monopoly pa rin sila)
anyway eto lang advice ko sa mga magpapakabit, naka plan 999 kasi ako.. since july pa and from july to early september mga 28kbps dl ko (which is somewhat acceptable, however the advertised speed is 32kbps) then mula mid-september up until now, ay 20kbps nalang!! imagine from 32kbps, naging 20kbps.. kung pwede lang ako makalipat ng bayantel or smart wifi gagawin ko ****!!
anyway advise ko sa mga magsusubscribe ay pagkabit na pagkabit ng dsl, check nyo agad connection sa mga bandwidth testing sites, at WAG NA WAG NYONG PAPAALISIN *** TECHNICIAN HANGGAT HINDI LUMALABAS *** PROMISED SPEED(or at least something close to it)!!

hello, i have just my pldt dsl installed yesterday after applying 2 days ago, mabilis sila.... i dunno ***** nga they are competing with bayantel, which i called also yesterday and still they are not available in pque. di kaya ganun? kaya mabiis pa ang bayantel kasi they are only available in manila and makati pa lang? anyway, my experience, ok pa naman so far ang pldt, pero may mga interruptions minsan, napuputol pero tolerable naman. Mabilis nmn **** compared sa dial up (im on 999 plan). Pero yesterday 261kbps ang speed yata with the tech guy, now 161kbps. I understand this kasi hindi naman lagi maabot yung promised na speed maraming fluctuations dahil marami ring factors yan.
Tinanong ko sa kanya bayantel, natawa sya sa bayantel siguro nga dahil taga pldt sya, pero for what i believe tulad din ng sinasabi sa ibang forums, pati yung tech guy, at kung sinu sino pa, sa pldt rin daw kasi nagrerely ang other tele companies. E wala rin naman akong choice, pldt lang available sa lugar namin. Ang wifi naman second option n *** yun, at pag nasanggi ng pwedeng humarang sa transmission mas mahirap! (as what our IT manager in our company told me)....
hay naku hopefully wala naman akong maing problema!

Ive been a subscriber of mypldt dsl since feb last year. all I can say is, it sucks big time. Putol putol connection at palagi ako na didisconnect while playing games online. 512Kbps dapat sa sakin pero there were a lot of time na sobrang mabagal downloads ko. Kung naglalaro kayo sa Battle.Net, ask any DOTA player na MyDSL gamit. Stay away from PLDT. Bakit subscriber pa ako? bec my company pays the bill and me contract :P.

My pldt mydsl was installed last OCt 26, 2005 for the first 3 days ok ang connection with tolerable interruptions and disconnections, then on the 4th day, dun ko na nakita na bumagsak na pala speed ko, the lowest download speed i had was 15kbps!!!
I already called and e-mailed the responsible people, pero wala pa ring nangyayari sa connection it is still sluggish, and I can tell na mas sluggish pa sya sa usual dial-up!!!
I can't do my usual things, kasi masyado ako naapektuhan nito mahal kasi.... btw are you from PLDT? Tulungan mo naman ako kasi I wanna get my money's worth! I have subscribed sa pldt kahit pangit ang reviews dahil bukod sa ito lang talaga ang broadband internet sa lugar namin eh dinedma ko yung mga comments believeing that pldt still gives the most reliable service sa lahat ng mga yan.... or do i have a choice?

according to pldtplay.com, Bandwidth Test Results : 1.27 Mbps.
minsan swerte lang siguro ako na ang bilis ng connection ko, more than what i'm subscribed for.
pero, ang dami nang times na sobrang nagflafluctuate ang connection ko.
there was even a time na nadra-drop yung connection ko every 5 minutes.
at freaking goodness, ang tagal ng 173 mag-respond, tinulugan ko na lang.
tapos the next day, ayos na ulti ang speed. tapos saka sila tatawag na mangangamusta ng linya ko.
minsan nakakainis. pero oks lang sa akin, kasi libre din naman.
still, kung kasulitan ng pera, parang di ganon ka-ok kapag pldt dsl.

perhaps you should check your local allocated bandwidth at http://pldtplay.com/ and also do some ping test eg. 'ping pldtplay.com -n50' at windows command prompt . We could start discussing for solutions if the problems are similar.

I'm just a subscriber like you and also wanted to know whats going with them. BTW. the pings you gave me are inconclusive although the latency seems a bit high which could mean either network congestion or signal problems in your line. I got only around 40 ms from globequest. Are you sure there are no network activities around? Do you have virus scanners installed? You have to determine the Server IP address in your network connections window and try set the ping to at least 20 times in the command prompt window and check for latency and packet losses e.g. ping <server ip address> -n 20

no. actually i have a news to you guys!!! i called them for the nth time and had spoken with the team leader (supervisor), i shouted, i almost maligned the service! i even e-mailed the tech support telling them im planning to have this terminated! the supervisor on phone told me that they will be sending the lineman again to check physically what's going on, she scheduled me tomorrow.
My energy sulked after that, and during that time I even got the lowest download speed at 15kbps and aroung 50's uploading speed.
I slept, after waking up few hours later, I found out that I cannot access my dsl anymore!!!!!!!!!! Tawag ulit ako, pinalitan po username and password ko and the tech support told me they are undergoing maintenance and are assigning new usernames and passwords.
When I tried it, LO AND BEHOLD I got the FASTEST CONNECTION OF THEM ALL 1338kbps downloading and 500+kbps uploading speeds!
But there was a time my modem disconnects!
I dont trust them, probably this is just but a sudden hype just to pacify me but I know it will drop down again to slower than dial-ups speeds later when everybody has changed their usernames and passwords already.
I am also skeptic because I have threatened them that I will report them to the DTI for their substandard service.
So that's my story. To be continued.

Hmm though di ko nabasa yung mga previous post, baka na post na to pero share ko na din. Pede kasing madaya yung line ng dsl eh.Kasi pedeng hatiin yung isang line ng dsl, halimbawa may apat na subscriber, sa isang line. So kung 256 kbps yung ni apply ng apat na subscriber, pag sabay sabay na gumamit ng line yun eh mahahati yung speed ng 256 into 4. Yun ang prob, unless if leased line, kung 256 ang binabayaran mo, yung 256 eh sa ** lang.
Kaya mas maasyos pa ata ang wifi. Di ba may cheaper namang wifi :brush:

^^Yep the connection is dependent to the username and password they enter during the set-up.
I remember nung dumating yung dsl tech sa bahay para ikabit yung dsl, hindi pa daw activated yung username and password namin sa server nila(texted by pldt). So binigyan nya kami ng parang test username and password. The speed blew me away! The download speed is 120+KB/sec. Sinabi lang nya na i-enter na namin yung tinext sa min ng pldt the following week. Although ayokong i-enter yung tinext samin kasi babagal na, nilagay ko na rin kasi hindi stable yung connection sa ibang sites pati sa ym. Now im having regrets kung bakit ko pa inenter yung sa amin.

If I were you I won't turn off my PC anymore just to play safe. :lol: For the modem disconnects it could be that the voice and data filter was not installed so whenever the phone rings the modem will disconnect.

i dont believe that kasi.... y? because during the time i had the problem, yung connection ko na hindi ko pinatay pc ko and modem is fast pa nung umaga, pagdating ng hapon saka bumagsak unti unti. meaning the connectin in totality is unstable talaga to start with.
There is no use therefore to not to turn off the modem right?

i mean you should not turn off the pc and modem just to be sure that it won't reset itself back to 15 kbps. Also try logging-in to your modem firmware http://192.168.1.1/rpSys.html and do some DSL line diagnostic test especially the downstrem noise margin so you can troubleshoot the source of this instability.

the problem may be there kahit hindi mo patayin ang modem, the sudden slugishness of speed that i were talking about happened suddenly when i was online... so from 160+kbps biglang nag 89 tapos 56 tapos 40's hanggang 15kbps!
So i dont think it has something to do with "not turning it off" style nangyari yun kasi hindi siguro ganoong ka compatible line ko or pinagsisiksikan kami sa iisang node. Now umok na sya pero nabwiset ako they have to turn it off for testing. medyo bumaba at 800+kbps download and 100+kbps upload speed.

I'm very satisfied with PLDT myDSL. One thing you have to make sure when you get myDSL is that you need to have your landline re-wired. All other phone extensions should come from the DSL splitter (not sure if that's the right term) that PLDT will or should give you in order for your DSL to work properly. If you have an extension connected to the main phone line, the line noise it will create will render your DSL ineffective.
I noticed that not all of myDSL users have the DSL splitter. All those who don't experience problems with their connections.

me? yup, I test my connection speed regularly since I often upload and download files to and from my clients. :D I use http://www.dslreports.com/ and a few other sites to test my connection speed. I just got this report:
Your download speed : 587 kbps or 73.4 KB/sec.
Your upload speed : 467 kbps or 58.4 KB/sec.
which is actually below the usual scores my connection gets. Of course sometimes I experience problems with my connection but generally I'm happy with myDSL.
When posting speed test scores, please do not forget to indicate the subscribed connection speed. Otherwise, the results are meaningless. For all we know, someone could be getting a 512 kbps download speed (which at face value seems very fast) when in fact the subscribed speed is 784 kbps or 1 mbps. Even if you post "plan 999" or whatever, not all people are familiar with what speed that plan corresponds to.
I personally use SkyDSL's 384 kbps plan and my 24-hour average download speed is ~375 kbps, which translates to 97.6% of the maximum speed. Unlike what some people have been suffering with other broadband connections, there are no speed dropouts regardless of the time of the day. Also, unlike what i've read in this thread, the SkyDSL does not use any usernames/password logins at all. :D

wala naman talaga akong ganong problema sa DSL speed ko, minsan talaga fukced up ang connection dahil may sudden drop points.

i just deleted the validation links (kasi takot ako mamaya may security repercussions yan.)
plan 2500 ako + 10% vat. so monthly ko is PhP 2,750 talaga.
palagay ko, sa congestion din siguro yan ng area ninyo. (not sure though kung factor talaga din yun, kasi di naman ako techie person.)
hindi naman din sya one-time spike lang, kasi regularly akong nag-che-check ng speed ko.
and most of the time nasa 900kbps - 1Mbps. :)
but as i said, may mga times din na mas mababa sa advertised speed anc connection ko - i.e. ~500 kbps.
pero saglit lang naman din yun.

^Im on the 1999 plan! Ayokong ipost dito at nakakahiya ang speed ko. Pero naman kasi nakakaDL ako sa bittorrent ng mga 44kBps minsan and 28kBps most of the time kaya may kunswelo din naman. Hindi din naman ako gamer pero I sure could use some speed esp for the Yahoo Messenger webcam and voice, the CNN news and other online videos. Kakainggit ang speed mo, I hope you don't lose it! *okay*

well they had mine fixed after several days of bombarding them
im on 999 and i get around 500-800kbps download speed and 50-160kbps upload speed at testmy.net
sa pldtplay at globequest pumapalo ng pinakamataas n 1k kbps.
my problem now, i get dc from time to time. i had 7 dc's yesterday and 3 just right now, parang may interval na every hour yata.
and my upload speed bumababa sya na hindi raw maganda sabi sa testmy.net
ive complained again, eto syempre papipilahin k n nmn!
**** bang ganito mga broadband providers sa pinas? *** b **** matino o stable connection? like im also hearing bad comments on bayantel, pero mas marami good kasi konti p *** sila ngayon just like pldt during the earlier times (nung konti pa).
o tlgang palpak lang ang pldt? e bakit yung iba happy sa connection nila?

that happens to me too from time to time.
the worst was when i got DC'ed every 5 mins, and that's for almost 8 hrs straight.
sobrang inaway ko yung nasa 173 kasi sabi ko, i'm doing my work stuff and i need the connection.
sa bad trip ko, tiinulugan ko na lang.
the next day, may tumawag, nangangamusta ng line.
fudge. e tapos na yung problema.
minsan nga naiinis ako, kasi ang sinasagot nila sa akin yung basic troubleshooting kaya lagi akong nabuburyong.
pero ako naman, before i call them up to report connection probs, ginagawa ko muna lahat nun (i.e. restarting of modem, etc.).

ano ba advertised speed ng plan 1999?
i also DL thru bittorent, at minsan may DL speeds ako to more than 100 kbps din (depende sa seeds).

similar to what you folks experience with pldt mydsl, I also experience frequent dc's of my dsl connection. I am on plan 1995. Ewan ko ba, pldt should really take a look at their service. Hindi sya kagandahan. I might change providers as soon as I am finished with my contract next year. Hint, hindi ako nakakatagal ng isang oras after logging-in kasi my dsl connection drops. yun lang po.

It's a question that you can answer for yourself. Try downloading something off a fast server (can be HTTP, FTP, XDCC via IRC, etc. but avoid torrents) and note the dowload speed. If the speed test is accurate, your actual download speed and the reported speed should be roughly the same.
I tried going to various speed testing sites, most of them are reliable except one (I forgot) which consistently gave a low speed despite having good speed in real downloads.

kasi yung skydsl is not yet available sa area namin. I'm on pldt dsl plan 999. Okay naman han unlimited 256 kbps ang speed. My friend is on smart wifi she pays 988 ata basta less than 1 thou din and same speed din 256 kbps okay din siya and my friend was able to hook up 3 computers with no extra charge. Tsaka mabilis yung installation. Sa pldt it took me one week before nainstall! Pero okay na din. :D

Ako fed up na din with pldt maski sa phone o sa dsl connections nila from infocom to pldtvibe and now to dsl plan999. The problem with pldt is that they dont know the meaning of quality service...basta may conections ang subscribers nila maski paputol putol every 30min or so, to them that is service already. Bakit nde **** membership sa isang club yung subscription natin na paminsan minsan lang ggamitin... this is supposed to be fast, realiable at unlimited connections with the internet.. you are right, their service sucks maski nga sa phone line service nila ganun din

I havent filed it to DTI or NTC yet.... my present problem is somewhat more tolerable than before..... pero hindi pa rin sulit kasi nga i get disconnected form time to time and unpredictable yun! Kaya pag naglalaro ako ng ragnarok at na dc ako sa gitna ng mga monsters patay ako dun kahit na dc na ko tapos na ma minus yung experience points ko which is annoying and nakakaubos ng load yun dahil i have to repeat another process to get that exp points.
Hindi lang yun nakakairita sya dahil hindi nga stable, if youre chatting or browsing, titigil lahat yun for more than a minute and sometimes i need to reboot kasi nag ka crash pc ko at naghahang!
Halos araw-araw ko na inaaway mga tao rito at pati yung same supervisor para magresign na sya at palitan na ng supervisor ang tech crew na walang silbi!

My PLDT subcription (Plan 1995) has been satisfactory since March, to say the least. I had it connected October of last year, had random disconnect problems from December to March (with numerous trips by PLDT techs to my house... close na nga kami nung lineman eh). What the lineman did was re-wire EVERYTHING; even the telephone line was re-wired. The DSL line was also separated para hindi mag-short (most likely the reason for the disconnects). Since then, hindi na ako nadi-disconnect unless talagang may outage.
My advice to those who experience random disconnects is call up PLDT everyday and demand that they re-wire everything. I assure you, once they do that, your internet life will be trouble-free. ;)

another problem is how to connect with those people from 173 malimit walang nasagot...kahapon mismong pldt opis ng LB ngsabi nde daw nakakonek sa 173 nila dahil ang dami reklamo nadating sa kanila
i just have my pldt dsl plan 999 last aug14 installed, after one year pagtitiis sa pldtvibe440.. kako baka sakali mas maganda service sa dsl..one month satisfied ako kasi talaga nmn mas mabilis kesa dialup..eto na exactly one month, on sept15 at 4pm to be exact, nawalan ako ng koneksyun sa internet..i hv been calling 172375 every after 30 min for almost 5 days.. tuwing kakausapin ko *** nasagot sa kabilang linya sabi ireport daw nila sa techni at follow up ko lang daw ulit sa kanila at sabi may tatawag daw na techni sa akin iwan lang daw on *** modem na nakakabit sa pc ko.. ******* ala nmn natawag na techni para sana magsabi kun ano dpat kong gawin..bandang huli nalaman ko call center lang pala *** tinatawagan so i decided kuhanin *** kontak # ng techni ng pldt para diretso na me sa kanila ayaw sabihin..ng pinag muura ko na sila saka may 2mawag from pldt at sabi gagawan na daw me ng ticket at papuntahin sa amin ang techni nila..awa ng dyos ala pa ako nkikita anino ng pldt techni after the day na ma-install dsl koneksyun ko.. on sept21 9am ayun na biglang nagkaroon ulit kami ng koneksyun kac sabi ko sa call center ng pldt nde na ako tatawag ulit para follo up yung problem ko at kung ala pang koneksyun sa internet that day i am going 2 unilaterally rescind my contract at bahala silang hahabol sa akin.. from then ngumpisa maayos ulit speed at stability then unti unti bumagal at for the last 3 or so weeks lagi na lang nga DC ng DC worst nitong last 3 days every minute halos DC then ala pang 10 seconds meron na naman..tama ka nakakirita sa paglalaro ng ragnarok.. sa akin **** nde pa me nakaka set ng vend ko DC na agad..nde lang un may mga dina download me na nde pde continue *** nabasa na kaya pag na DC ayun start from d beginning ulit..maski nmn mabilis kesa dialup pag ganyan nangyayari nde matapos tapos DL
i guess it is about time we organize ourselves to present our problems to an appropriate body to look into the welfare of paying customers..nde pedeng one sided ang contract..tatalihan nila ang subscriber nila ng 1 year para ano magsuffer ng lousy service nila..
if u decide 2 go ahead filling the complaint sa dti count me in i would like to be part of this..naiinis na ako sa entire pldt service

yung sa dti hindi raw dun nagrereklamo, kundi sa NTC raw ito. pero i read one forum telling na pinagtawanan lang daw sila. to think na kumpanya na yun. pero that was bayantel dsl na reklamo!

ok guys here's the latest, tinanggal ko na yung mga wires na mahahaba na nakakonek sa extension ko, then, ive tried covering with electrical tape yung mga wire na pinagkonekan....
and the speed was awesome!!! sa testmy.net grabe download speed ko e 1.2mbps tapos upload 290-500kbps!!!
pero eto catch mas sunud-sunod and dc nya!!!!

i have a feeling na since the start na pinalitan nila ang username and password ko nung bumagsak ang connection ko, e pinacify nila ko by giving me high bandwidth! pero saan nga kaya talaga galing yung mga intermittent dc's na yan?

then what we kud do is to consult a lawyer..there must be something unconstitutional (tama ba un?) pag one sided *** contract..nde pdeng the company demand that we have to tie ourselves for one year to suffer in a very lousy service..we are paying exactly what pldt require us .. so its but proper na bgay din nila *** nararapat na serbisyo..if not then the least they could do is to relese us with the one year contract.. kahapon nagreklamo ako sa pldt opis dyo sa LB asking why would they charge me with the whole month of internet usage samantalang almost one week ala me connection.. aba pinapasulat pa ako at irequest ko daw na bawasan *** bayad ko at ilista *** mga araw na wala me connection?.. talaga nmn, ikaw na agrabyado ala ka koneksyun, nagreport kana almost every 30min everyday tapos problema mo pa irequest reimbursement ng singil na nde mo nagamit service nila..amp nila

ang tingin ko dyan, well im not so sure, pero mukhang problema ntin pldt subscribers ay sa pera..i mean gus2ng kumita ng kumita ang pldt pero nde na kaya resources nila na ibgay *** minimum service due each subscribers sa dami na ng subscribers..kaya *** dc na yan baka galing na sa isang NODE (tama ba un?) na sobra sobra na *** subscribers na nakakabit dun kaya pag sabay sabay nagamit mga yan ayun somebody has to be logout.. i am not a techie kaya not sure kun tama ito..dpat nmn sana i upgrade muna resources nila bago mg accept ng additional subscribers para nde congested *** line..mga bwakaw sa pera mga yan

I've read in the paper yesterday an ad from pldt dsl. Its about the DSL wireless/wired. In the fine print of the ad it says that there would be a gradual speed increase for plan 999 subscribers. An upgrade from 256 to up to 384kbps ang speed.
Maybe this explains the 28-32KB/s that were experiencing. Well at least bumilis na uli. :)

hope you can post the news about the increased bandwidth for the 999 subscribers... ako kasi at 999 the my download now is 600+kbps and upload 140'skbps... pero im still having intermittent disconnections. As of yesterday after the linemen had re-wired my cables, pag alis nila the problem was still there until early this morning. hindi na nga ko nakakatuloy at nakakakain ng maayos kakabantay at kaka-observe.
Napapagod na ko kakatawag. The speed I guess ok na to pero the dc's talaga piss me off!
Pls pakipost nmn yung increase for the 999, saan ba mababasa yan dito sa internet? thanks!

ive talked with a team leader in 172-375, by the name of CHerry Aguirre, she told me that that increase (999 promo up to 384kbps) is on selected areas only and started last Nov 9, 2005. You will receive an e-mail that your connection has an increase in bandwidth, unfortunately, my area pasay-paranaque is not included. At sabi nya dun *** daw sa mga nag subscribe ng Nov 9 onwards ang makaka avail or else you are stucked with your old speed.
Probably the speed that some are getting could be due to this, but should you be skeptic about it, you may call the ****in hotline for confirmation. Ako ganun p rin.... dc intermittently with download of whooping 600++kbps and upstream of 140'skbps! sayang speed kung wala nmng stability im sad pa rin!

Im on plan 999, on the first 3 days ok nmn.... aba nung 4th day ko I started experiencing dc's and slowdowns, the slowest speed i got was 15kbps downstream!!!! For the next 4 days, I succumbed to that trauma of calling that sh!t 172-375 and ive even bombarded Emy Flamenano(team leader) & Joy Estrada (supervisor daw) regading my issues, then after 4 days, pinalitan nila username and password ko! Would you believe it bigla akong nag 1mbps downstram tapos 500+ kbps upstream ang speed ko!!!!
Inadjust ito at ang nakukuha ko recently at 500-600kbps downsrtream at 80-140's kbps upstream which are all beyond my plan! PERO KWIDAW KAYO.... nag iintermittent dc sya mga kababayan!!! At super nakakairita! Binombard ko sila ng reklamo ulit kung sinu-sino nang tao nakausap ko to the extent na nakilala ko na sila! May pumuntang linemen named Edgardo Caballero and Mike delos Santos.... hayun inayos ang wires ng phone ko! Umalis sila na maayos but then again after an hour mas marami kaya akong na-experience na dc's!!!!
Yang tawag ulit ako... susmaryosep ngayn *** **** ako nakaranas ng ganitong abala sa buong internet surfing history ko!!!! May pumuntang technician dito named Alex Torizo, at sabi nya masyado raw mataas ang speed ko at nirequest na babaan. Sa akin *** nmn ok lang yun basta nasa limits ko... pero pag bumulosok ulit un naku sinasabi ko!!!! Hindi naman niresolve ang problem, ang ginawa nya eh bukas daw bababa speed ko accordingly at baka yun daw ang solusyon! Nadala p nya yung endorsement form ko nung kinabit ang dsl ko!
I doubt! Mas marami na kong nadaanang kabwisitan sa pldt kesa sa solusyon, kung meron man silang ginagawa palpak pa rin at NAPAKATAGAL NG RESPONSE!!!!!!

another technician came to my house to check the intermittent dc's... he found out na mataas daw masyado speed ko so he requested to adjust it to 230kbps!!!! tinawag nya at narinig ko na ganun... i told him ei di ba 256 ang burstible speed ko bakit 230 *** nirerequest mo? baka maulit ang problema ko before na bumagsak ng 15kbps yan ha!!! sabi nya, "ganun daw ****" at nag explain na nang kung anu-ano na hindi naman ma justify hearing from a customer's point of view!
bukas ng 10am ko raw mararamdaman ang pagbaba, at "maaari" (HINDI RAW SYA SURE, FAKSH3T) yun daw pinanggagalingan ng intermittent dc ko. Sa tingin ko kasi the other ppl who assigned this port to me is trying to pacify me kasi nga ive been down for 4 days, pero kung iaadjust nila **** accdg to my plan, dapat sigurado na burstible 256 at nde bumaba ng lower than the dial up tulad ng dati, at mawala na ang itermittent "time out" n yan!!!!
I am really planning to preterminate this. I was guaranteed by Joy Estrada (the dsl supervisor) na i papawaive nya raw yung fee ng pretermination, pero its a long process at babayaran ko pa rin yung kinonsume kong days with dsl!

it's possible that you have very old phone lines na.
anyway. if na didiscon, what you just do is use the telephone to call another phone. and leave it for a few seconds, makaka connect na uli modem mo.

sinister7zex: binisita ka na ng technician, hanggang ngayon pa rin ba constant ang dc mo? Kung hindi na, then you are good. Obserbahan mo na lang ang pagbaba ng speed mo bukas. If your speed by 10 am tomorrow is between 28-32 after testing (testmy.net) you are fine.
Hopefully ma-normalize na ang connection mo by tomorrow. :)

hi skuidward! thanks for comforting me... someone from the tech support by the name of cherry aguirre is good enough to give me a call and monitor my situation.
she explained to me that the technician is somewhat correct, kasi raw hindi nagmemeet yung configuration/s ng speed na inassign s kin at yung plan kung saan ako naka subscribe... my speed is @ biz lite na while my plan is a residential plan. the configurations daw wont meet somewhere that it "may" be the cause of the intermittent time outs! medyo may pakiramdam nga ko, ksi before yung nakukuha ko lang e 151kbps nung ok pa sya eh di ko nmn naranasan na ma time out na ganito ka intermittent, nung tumaas mabilis nga pero bigla bigla talaga time outs!
NALULUNGKOT NA KO KSI, THOUGHT IM GONNA BE HAPPY WITH DSL CONNECTION PERO IT GIVES ME MORE PROBLEMS COMPARING WITH THAT IVE EXPERIENCED W POWERSURF DIAL UP UNLIMITED!
BTW, di pa po ayos ****, bukas pa irereconfigure ang connection ko para mawala na *** dc's, sna *** wag bumagal n 2lad ng dati ang connection ko. I still got 5 intermittent dc's as of this time. Eto po yung mga time : (1) @8:48AM; (2) @11:51AM ; (3) @3:48PM ; (4) @7:23PM; (5) @7:25PM. If you can see the last two dc's have very close interval, after 2 minutes yun nag dc ulit ng mga 1 minute!

to ANO_NI_MOOSE: may selected areas po kasi raw ang mga itinataas ang speed, ako nga 384 na dapat dahil sa increase pero di raw kasama ang port ko! saka papadalhan ka ng e-mail kung kasama ka sa increase. Ang daya no? dapat lahat yan eh.... i-clarify mo sa 171 and 172-375 yung issue mo at siguradong may sagot sila na ganito: sir/ma'am, di po kasali sa increase of speed ang lugar nyo!

I think thats because Globe is already offering 768 kbps access for their 1995 equivalent based on the newspaper ad that I read. Probablly those selected areas that they said are also areas where Globe is available. Thats why competition is good for the subscribers and if not for competition probably we will still be stucked at 256 kbps for the Plan 2500!

if you are reading my posts, ive been a subscriber for 3 weeks p *** yet ive started having problems until now starting on the 4th day.
the difference dsl can provide from dial up is the separate phone, i mean you can use the phone while online. Besides that, *** na ****, you may experience faster internet connection, but with pldt mydsl, its far more unstable than that of dial-up connections.

Sa Makati area lang walang nagcocomplain sa PLDT cos DSL speeds there are like cable like speeds. I'm talking about in business district in Ayala, if you fall anywhere near its radius (Legaspi Village, Salcedo Village, etc), you'll have no complaints with PLDT.
anywhere else, swertehan lang siguro.

Yes, I had done it to Skyinet, Destiny and SkyDSL. For Skyinet and Destiny I never paid the remaining bills to protest their bad services. In the case of SkyDSL I terminated it after 4-5 months for giving me dial-up speeds. My efforts did pay and they should know that it will be their loss sooner or later if they disregard my consumer rights now.

Thanks for the advice.....what will happen if you sign up and then cancel the myDSL after 3-4 months? how much money do you loose? is there a contract or a deposit that you will lose? or do you just lose your already paid monthly service fees?
also, would it be possible to post your location?
e.g. Kalookan = slow dial-up speeds
I am trying to get a guage on whether the location plays an important role, as mentioned before that so far only Makati is a good location..

I don't think so. Dito sa bahay basta patayin lang ang pc. Kahit di pa inooff yung dsl modem. Wala naman kaming problema pagdating dun. Wala rin kaming nakuhang similar message ng katulad sayo.

Naka pldt dsl 999 ako. Mabilis naman ang internet speed ko pero ang malaki kong prob ay kapag ginagamit ko ba ang phone!!
Nakaping lang kc ako plagi sa yahoo, at once na ginamit ko na ang phone, ABA, request timed out na. Or kapag pinalad ako na hindi magkaganun, pagkatapos mo nmang ibaba ang telepono, doon naman nagrerequest timed out.

mabilis naman.. i had 2 torrents that was downloading at a total of 120kb/ sec, yahoo messenger on with webcam and mic.. and it was smooth parin..
i think that's all that matters in the end..

May nababasa akong mga user na nagsasabi napuputol sila. Anong ibig sabihin nun? Parang dialup na disconnect ng disconnect? E di nawawalan din ba ito ng dial tone sa phone?
Madedegrade ba ang speed ko kung maraming extension yung phone na gagamitan ko? Kasi 3 extension ito. Sa sala, tsaka sa 2 kwarto.
Static ba ang ip address nito?
PPPOE ba ang protocol na gamit nito? kasi yung plan 899 ata ng SkyDSL ay PPPOE...

days out of 7, PLDT INTENTIONALLY throttles your bandwidth to around 120 kbps. This usually starts on Saturday night 9:00 pm. This has happened to me every week for the past 3 months.
You will only get the promised 768 kbps (plan 2500) from Tuesday to Saturday, the rest of the time your speed is barely faster than dial-up.
If you try to talk to their tech support, they will attempt to send a tech over to your home. They keep insisting that the problem is on your side of the connection, even though it is obvious PLDT is throttling your bandwidth.
PLDT will not admit what they are doing. PLDT is cheating and lying to their customers. PLDT is commiting FRAUD.
To those planning to migrate to PLDT, DONT!!!

DSL speed actually throttles from time to time. What you are guaranteed is the "burst" speed. The service provider does not really guarantee that you will have 512 kbps (for example) all the time.
Accusing PLDT of limiting your bandwidth speed on specific days may be hard to prove. I mean, you can show them your "observations", but it will be hard in your part to prove that PLDT is doing this "intentionally".
I'm using PLDT MyDSL and I haven't had any issues with my bandwidth speed. When I'm downloading from peer-to-peer sites, my speed typically reaches 300+ kbps.
Internet connections have their own hassles. I think it is much worse when using dial-up (always busy dial-up numbers, extremely low bandwidth, connection getting lost). If you will compare the hassles, there are more hassles in using dial-up than there are in using DSL. Atleast go to the one with lesser hassles.
