Question...I recently applied sa plan 999. 256 kpbs pa siya now and I saw an ad about plan 999 na 384 kbps. In-upgrade nila? iuupgrade din ba nila yung connection namin who subscribed to plan 999 since we're paying the same amount for much less speed? Unfair naman diba?

The speed increase will be gradual. Sa selected areas muna nila iaaaply yung speed increase then sa lahat na ng subscribers nila(See newspaper/magazine ads). Kahit kami hindi pa na-iincrease ang speed. Pero ok lang. I'll just wait for our turn.

don't subscribe to pldt mydsl, if you have options.... try other... like bayantel ksi may money back guarantee sila if youre not satisfied for a month ata.pldt will make your internet life the worst ever....
ALAM NYO BA NA IM MONITORING MY CONNECTION FOR ALMOST A WEEK NOW AFTER ILANG BESES INAAYOS WIRES KO RAW SA LABAS DAHIL SA INTERMITTENT DC'S...
hay naku for how many years na maraming ganitong problema, hindi pa rin nila mamaster ang solution for this kind of problem!
KAYA PAYO KO ULIT SA INYO, IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE, WAG PDT DSL ANG PILIIN NYO, MAGSISISI **** KAYO!

Unless willing ka mag bayad ng additional for an additional landline(ex. globelines).

tondo: speed slows down on the average of 10-12 days per month. if you want to shut down your computer without the worry of the speed slowing down the next time you connect, don't go with pldt dsl. the tech support s u c k s as well.

Maraming salamat for sharing the info on myDSL.
Favor, could you also specify what area you are from so that we will know what areas myDSL is sure to have lousy service?

Hello. :D
Have you checked the settings of your DSL modem? It's possible that the logon function is being handled by your modem. (i'm not sure though)
My friend who is a recent myDSL subscriber was given a modem that handles the username and password settings of his myDSL account.

The tech guy will enter the username and password while configuring your modem and that's it. You can now connect to the internet. 1 time entry lang yan. After entering, i-on mo lang ang modem mo and you will be connected automatically..
about trying it on mypad.net, hindi talaga gagana yan. Para lang yun sa email address nyo. Iba pa yun.

The DSL Splitter was free when we applied for our myDSL account since it's important to have that (all phone lines/extensions should emanate from the DSL splitter. Otherwise, the line noise will affect your myDSL connection).

the microfilter is not the splitter. The microfilter allows the user to use the phone and the dsl at the same time without the intteruption. The splitter on the other hand splits the phone line so that you can have one for your phone and one for your dsl modem.
The splitter comes along with the modem. It should be free. The microfilter on the other hand is to be provided be the technician. It is also free, well at least for one phone line.

Well, i really don't know if PLDT changed its policy, but I'd find it odd if the modem is "free" but the splitter isn't since it's a very important piece of hardware. It's best to call PLDT and ask. :)
I noticed though that PLDT doesn't inform the client that all phone lines and extensions should emanate from the splitter. Two of my friends had problems with their myDSL connections until I informed them that they need the splitter. After they had the DSL splitters installed, their connection problems disappeared since the phone line noise doesn't cause problems anymore.

i guess i've been lucky so far. i'm on plan 1995 and i've been getting a consistent speed of around 480kbps, and i haven't had any connection problems. and did anyone else notice that myDSL was abnormally fast 2 days ago? but i was getting like 1200+kbps on that day. i tried many bandwidth tests and the results were consistent. i checked my GetRight download history that day and the 2 files i DL'd had an average DL speed of 157.3 (!!) and 141.4 KiloBYTES/s. then the speed went back to normal yesterday. bummer.
BTW, when will this upgrade i've been hearing about take effect? will all subscribers' bandwidth be upgraded? by how much?

boi_bibo: didn't have internet connection for almost 3 days. i say almost kasi narestore lang kaninang 4pm after fruitless attempts to get through 172375 (na wala talagang silbi so don't try this at home!!!). what i did was contact the guy who heads (i think) yung mga service requests dito sa area namin sa QC.
after telling my problem and the subsequent attempts i made, today, he promised me that he'll get my connection back. bumalik at 4pm and i was able to surf for 1.5 hours. tapos i turned off my pc lang for about 3 hours (but didn't turn off the modem) tapos wala na naman pag on ko ulit! eto, balik na ulit after two hours. argh!
pero salamat na rin lang at naayos. i told him kasi that for every single day na wala akong dsl connection, they have to deduct it from my pldt bill.
I know na plan 1995 ako but the ppl from 172375 insisted na plan 1500 daw ako!!! Tapos ang bandwidth ko below 250kbps pa!!!

Couldn't connect at all a few hours ago, around 8pm onwards. All the lights on the modem were green but couldn't load any page. I thought it was my pc that was the problem and almost did a system restore. Just slept it off instead and had better luck when i tried again.
Damn service. It's touch and go and it sucks. It sucks that you just know it will drop just anytime while you're in the middle of an important download or chat or call. It sucks that everytime you log off your pc, you worry that you won't be able to reconnect when you log on again. It sucks that you're gonna be suffering this for the next twelve months.

I don't know about other service providers but for you to apply to pldt dsl you need a pldt landline. The line goes to the adsl splitter and goes to your phone and pc.

My PLDT subcription (Plan 1995) has been satisfactory since March, to say the least. I had it connected October of last year, had random disconnect problems from December to March (with numerous trips by PLDT techs to my house... close na nga kami nung lineman eh). What the lineman did was re-wire EVERYTHING; even the telephone line was re-wired. The DSL line was also separated para hindi mag-short (most likely the reason for the disconnects). Since then, hindi na ako nadi-disconnect unless talagang may outage.
My advice to those who experience random disconnects is call up PLDT everyday and demand that they re-wire everything. I assure you, once they do that, your internet life will be trouble-free. ;)
Tama c Neth_row kailangan *** re-wiring tested & proven na yan sakin, kac pagnakakabit *** extension line nyo sa main wire magshoshort un, dapat sa main line dapat ang nakakabit *** *** line ng DSL papunta sa PC mo tpos mga extension phone bumili nalng *** ng splitter :)remember *** DSL is Digital konti *** share sa main line tipok agad *** connection.... dati download speed ko 2 kbps *** ngayon 95kbps na after i re-wired ..just take d advise of Neth_row

Hi all!
To all those subscribers of PLDT MyDSL 999, are you experiencing a difficult time in surfing? I've been suffering from selective browsing for a week already. I actually called the tech support and they blame it to the site I'm accessing. But, I asked my friend to access it and he can access it naman. I find this frustrating. I think this is an issue for the MyDSL999 subscribers, but I don't know with others.
Meron bang nakahanap ng solution for this? I just got lucky na today, I got a nice connection. But, I still can't access some sites such as www.apple.com and www.pinoydsl.net. This is awful.

Why don't you try accessing multiply.com or apple.com thru a proxy server?
I can't access SOOMPI.COM for some reason. I had no problems with it two weeks ago, I think it has to do w/PLDT's sucky service. My friend is a subscriber of MERIDIEN WIFI n she can access SOOMPI.COM.

Guys, we're planning on getting the MyDSL plan 999. I'm quite ignorant on broadband matters so I just wanna ask a few questions:
1. You need a LAN card right? But from what the tech said when we bought a new mobo (P4S800 DX or something I think) and processor, most mobos including ours have a built in LAN card so no need to buy. Is that right? What else should I buy?
2. Plan 999 has supposedly upgraded to 384 although most users still get less than 300. Actually since I'm a first time broadband user I wouldn't mind getting around 256 kbps only (Yes, I know I should be getting what I paid for). But are there more instances of actually getting less than 200+ kbps or roughly around 50% of the subscribed speed? That's something that I will not tolerate.
3. How about disconnections? Is it really frequent or will it depend on the area/connection?
4. Any hidden charges or will we just pay the flat rate of the subscribed plan and with no installation fee?
5. Would the proximity to a PLDT office/tower be a factor? We live just beside the PLDT building/tower in Welcome Rotonda, Espana.
6. Would a high-rise building/condominium present problems? We reside in one. Should we get the regular myDSL line or maybe Smart wifi or myDSL-W?
7. Could someone give me a walkthrough on the connection process? After we apply, what will happen? What sort of stuff will the technicians do and for how long? Is it okay to leave the supervision of the installation process in the hands of a non-techy person?

My answers:
1. Yep, in terms of hardware, a lan card is all you need.
2. Im from antipolo and our speed hasn't increased yet. Yes, we sometimes get speeds lower than what we pay for. I think hindi talaga maiiwasan yun. If you read the past posts in this thread, nung october grabe ang naranasan namin. Ngayon naman ok na sya uli.
3. I think disconnections have to do with your area or how you connect your phone line to your modem.
4. Absolutely no hidden charges.
5. Im not really sure.
6. Try asking the operator about this. Most likely you'll be opted to go for the wired dsl for you are within city limits naman.
7. After application, you will receive a text message regarding your username and password. Do not delete the message. Within 2-3 weeks time a technician will drop by your place to install the dsl. Ang gagawin lang naman talaga pag kinabitan ka e ikakabit yung line mo to a splitter then to the dsl modem then to your pc tapos they're done. May konteng configurations pang gagawin yung technician(entering the username and password, etc.). All you have to do is show them the pc and the phone line and show them the text message from pldt.

Ugh! I hate DSL's customer service. They just give me the same stupid script everytime. It takes forever for them to fix the problem.
Now I'm having trouble uploading stuff to websites, something about network issues and network timing out. Does anyone know what's wrong or what I can do to fix it? I have an inkling it has something to do with the modem cause lights keep blinking and it didn't use to blink before.

I live in Libis....and applied for myDSL (wired), after 3 weeks of waiting, (they said it would only take 1 week at first)
the installers (contractors for PLDT, not actual PLDT employees since these installations are commonly contracted out) finally arrive, the job order was on myDSL letterhead and their equipment came in PLDT myDSL boxes as well..
when they were about to install, the contractor informs me that they will now install the TRANSMITTER for SMART WIFI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lucky for me i know the difference between a WIFI connection and a WIRED one (btw WIRED is better, even according to the technician!!)
I told them NOT to proceed until i call 171 customer service....after waiting 30 mins, the operator acknowledges that they decided to give me SMART WIFI (without informing me!!!) since the "Wired" my DSL is not available in my area THIS IS B.S.!!.... since I live in Greenmeadows Libis, and I have 3 other neighbors who have Wired my DSL!!!
I cancelled the application....i think they are trying to prey on people who dont know anything about the difference between WIRED and WIFI, and just allow them to make the installation.....
That is outrightly misleading the customer to signing up for something completely different!!!
BEWARE!!!

go to www.dnsreport.com and enter the domain name of the website ur trying to access, baka kasi down naman talaga yung website. it is also remotely possible na blocked yung website ng ISP or sobrang bagal lang **** ng connection mo kaya nag time-out.
@ Cyberspacebabe, sad to say mukhang di mawawalan ng suscribers ang PLDT, nasa kanila na kasi lahat eh... yung MyDSL residential plan could burst up to how fast ba? 384kbps??? kaso nga lang its not a commitment and it could be as slow or even slower than dial-up depending on the quality of your phone line & congestion in your area.

see this thread (http://www.pinoyexchange.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35874&page=40&pp=40), especially Tmac_1's suggested IPs.
iba-iba ang paraan ng pag-set ng DNS IP, depende sa OS. you still have to look up the procedure, i'm afraid, though if you're on windows xp, i think you have to go to control panel -> network settings -> local area connection -> properties -> tcp/ip -> properties -> assign the dns settings manually. tapos.
not sure though sorry, i'm using linux atm.

HI,
Does anyone here know the local IP address of the PLDT DSL modem? I tried 192.168.1.1 but i cannot get the settings page. Also, why is my LAN's IP address 169.x.x.x? This is a private IP right? My LAN settings is Obtain Ip automaticall, same with the DNS. I can surf the net with this IP. I was expecting a 192.x.x.x Ip address for my LAN.
I am thinking of putting in a router in between the PLDT dsl modem and my PC so i can share my connection.

I'm not downloading anything when I get dced every 5 mins, Im just playing this new game freestyleonline, so I guess it is not the bandwidth cap. As for the plan 999 thing, not all plan 999 are expiriencing this. And if I was dced, I have to disable the lan and enable it again to recconect again. Yeah maybe it is the lan card but why does it always dc every 5 mins with games like dota and freestyleonline?? Napalitan narin po *** modem, and what is rewiring anyway?? does it have a fee?? Is it possible for a broken video card to cause this?? or a broken hard drive perhaps??

well before i switched to bayantel, nag pldt ako for more than 2 years. (this one's less than 2 months, maybe?)
actually as time went by... bumilis pa nga yung bandwidth ko eh.
i was downloading torrents for as fast as over 250kb over 3 files. (150 u/l i think) before i switched to bayantel. (bill was getting to 4500 a month, i was collecting reward points like water! lol). nung umalis ako i gotten 1,000 pesos free gift cert.

that problem of yours don't exist sa higher dsl plans.
I'm subscribed to the same plan as he is and i leave my computer on for hours, sometimes even days. I download gigs and gigs of data without getting disconnected. I don't think that bandwidth cap off thing exists. There's just something wrong with his connection.

it's their DNS server.
manually setting their DNS server address in your configuration should help, somewhat.
Good day. We were one of the earliest subscribers to Pldt Dsl. From then till now my dad actually pays pldt P3,000+++++ a month.
From the time it was connected to the present, we've had moments when the dsl was working properly but we were also experiencing times when the speed was slow, disconnections occuring more than usual or no connection at all.
By December 2005 everything was going somewhat well (at least we could connect to the internet). Now, we can't.
The original problem was invalid username and password, so they gave us a Generic temporary username and password (with which the connection only lasts 2 minutes then you have to manually reconnect).
We weren't happy so they gave us another account number and password to use while they were trying to figure out what the problem was. For the first time, in a very long time, with this alternate account username and password we were actually having trouble-free internet browsing.
After several days, the dsl helpdesk contacts us and tells us we can't use the alternate account username and password as it was not ours and had to go back to the original. They had us delete the old dsl "dialer" and make a new "dialer" for pldt dsl.
Several days later, we could no longer use the alternate username and password and use the original instead. Problem was, username and password were still invalid. We went back to using the Generic username and password which gets disconnected after 2 minutes.
Several days after, finally the username and password of our original account is no longer invalid, but the computer says connection to the internet was not possible because of a protocol problem in our PC.
Interestingly, the dsl helpdesk said that they cannot PING our modem, so no matter how many times I delete or make a new dialer nothing will happen ( After 20 days, now they tell me!!!!!!! :bop: )
They suggest having a techician come and examine our modem. They'll also try to change/re-install the tcp/ip thing which is needed to connect to the internet. They're also asking that we reformat our pc.
Here's what bothers me:
1. Our desktop is old, but we also use a brand new laptop. For both pc's the problems are similar (problem with protocol). Doesn't this mean that the problem is not with our pc's? I don't want to go to trouble of reformatting our computers just to find out that it won't solve the problem.
2. The comment regarding the DNS servers really intrigues me. One of the tech dsl people I spoke to mentioned that there really was a connection problem for our area ( which I took as meaning other subscribers were having a similar problem). If so, then shouldn't they get off they're behinds and actually examine their servers to see if there is a problem and not put the blame on us , the subscribers?
3. Our computer is located in the Malate area. I strongly suspect that if the computer was located in a more affluent area like Forbes or Ayala Alabang , connection problems such as ours would never happen.
I've always had this strong suspicion that they never really take us seriously and give us least priority since they feel we're neither rich or influential.
4. If it's PLDT dsl that has the problem and not us, and yet they insist that we're the ones with the problem then isn't they're insistence that we closely examine and re-examine our computers just a way to stall /buy time till they can actually look at their systems hardware and actually solve the problem?
At this point, I personally want our subscription discontinued. It's been nothing but a headache. We pay more than most subscribers and yet we're expected to settle with mediocre service and lackluster performance. :grrr:
What should we do? Help please. :depressed:

What else but change ISPs? ;)
I've been looking at this thread for quite some time and it's essentially a parade of complaints occasionally punctuated by some good comments. Nothing unusual... try checking out the site pinoydsl.net which has individual forums per ISP provider and you'll note the same thing. I've never used myDSL but it's pretty obvious that the service generally sucks. It might shine in some areas but that's hit-and-miss.
Doubtless PLDT is aware that its service sucks but I doubt improving their service is their main priority. Instead, they're apparently more concerned with increasing their user base over other competing broadband providers. Maybe 2 months ago or so, I read a newspaper article in which PLDT was proud about how their userbase had grown and their aim to be the #1 broadband provider. Apparently, they forgot that increasing the user base also means increasing capacity, not only for bandwith but also for tech support.
Personally I can't understand why PLDT cannot improve its service when a competing ISP can provide quality service. I'm using SkyDSL (i.e. Bayantel) and I have no complaints about it. From my experience:
Advantages:
1) Tech support
Easy to contact, helpful and quick to respond
2) Stability/Reliability
The connection is extremely stable, it can run for a day or two (or even more) without faltering. At the most, the connection stumbles a bit (DSL light flashing, no throughput) maybe once or twice a week, but that's it.
Also note that SkyDSL has a service guarantee:
Under the guarantee, BayanTel is committed to restore DSL broadband internet connection problems within 24 hours that the problem is reported. A rebate of P500 is offered for each line which connection problem is left unresolved for each day beyond 24 hours, until such time that the connection is restored. The maximum rebate amount will be equal to your monthly recurring charges and will be deducted from your bill.
If PLDT were to implement such a plan, doubtless they'd be flat broke in no time.
3) Speed
Of course stability is useless without speed, and in this regard you get what you pay for. I'm on a 384 kbps account and it actually gives a steady 384 kbps (that's around 47 kB/sec) or even a bit more. This contrasts sharply with PLDT's 384 kbps plan which is apparently only the maximum but not the actual speed you'll get.
4) Ease of use
Frankly I'm baffled with the username and password system of PLDT. SkyDSL does not need usernames nor passwords. You only need to configure the system once with the proper IP's and when you turn on the computer the DSL is ready to go.
5) No need to have a Bayantel line to use SkyDSL
Disadvantages
1) Coverage
Sky covers a more limited area than PLDT. In my area (Q.C.), there were only two slots remaining when we signed up.
2) Cost
I think Sky has slighly more expensive plans:
P899 - 256 kbps
P1,699 - 512 kbps
P 2,699 - 1.5 mbps
I did try to look up the myDSL rates but since PLDT hasn't even updated their site about their new residential plans, i didn't bother looking further.
All in all, my experience with the service is exactly what their TV ad advertised: "No frills, no nonsense, service guaranteed."

Just got connected to plan 999. Took only 4-5 working days to get connected. Downloads and bandwidth tests is at 260 - 290 kbps with downloads at around 35 KB/s on average. Quite satisfied by it. Hopefully the speed will be consistent even at nights. Anyone know if our area (Espana, Sampaloc) has any problems with speeds and disconnections?
Btw, do I have to connect everytime I start my PC? How about the modem? Should I turn it off when I shut down my PC? Any other tips for a first time DSL user?
Can access all sites except 1: boxtorrents.com
Can someone check if they can access it? If yes, what should I do so that I can access it?

Bayantel uses static IP addresses kaya ganun. PLDT uses dynamic (your ip address changes everytime you login)
"Btw, do I have to connect everytime I start my PC? How about the modem? Should I turn it off when I shut down my PC? Any other tips for a first time DSL user?"
uh yes everytime you start up, you have to reconnect to pldt's network. turn off modem, to save electricity, yah.
a useful tip is if something happens minsan sa connection, a quick modem reset usually cures what ails you. (plug and unplug the power supply lang)

We're practically at the same boat. Though na-e-experience ko naman na minsan umabot ng 512 Mbps, frequent sya during the dead hours meaning madaling araw when Internet cafes are no longer operating. And yes, I am already about to finish my contract with PLDT next month and as early as now, am scouting for another dsl or better yet, a wi-fi provider. Everything with PLDT is bad. Siguro kasi masyado na sila maraming subscribers kaya ganun, when in fact, yung competitors nila naglalatag pa lang ng linya para ma-expand yung services nila. Madali kasi mag-apply sa PLDT.
Pag napuno na ako, am gonna change my DSL
I think that's the best way to do it. P1,995 is no easy money. I want better service for a hard-earned amount.

:( Get this. We applied for PLDT's 999 package a bit after Christmas last year, and we STILL don't have it. First, they said they'd run out of the copper (wire?) whatsit that they needed for installation. Fine. So we waited. When we checked up on them last week, they said there aren't any ports in our area (I live in QC, I swear to gosh there's an internet cafe on PLDTDSL nearby), so they can't connect here yet, unless we pay P1k more to be connected via a Smart line (or something like that, I forget what it was exactly). Mind you, they told us that AFTER they accepted our application and had kept us waiting for the installer dudes. @___@; Those jerks. To cut the long story short... we're looking around for other options.

Bypass the router and connect directly. If you still get disconnected, it's the phone line. Before you conclude that the defect is on the provider side, check your house phone wiring. Might be old or corroded wires, bad jacks, or improperly attached extension phones.

ano to lokohan?

the thing about dsl is there's lots of factors that can affect you speed and/or reliability. Asides from the usual physical cable quality, your pcs, lan card etc is your area. The distance between your place to the nearest dsl CO. The number of subscribers in your area, etc.

Is it really true as claimed that they are really doing maintainance work on the IPLs since April 17 which probably may last til May 1 and which is affecting all areas? Ganun ba? As for me, constant naman ang speed ko. So far, I encountered only minor problems such us getting 0KBS for a few seconds to a few minutes, then up again at full speed. There are some occassions that I get around 280-320 Kilobytes per second, but for a few days lang. That's about over 2Mbps.
Anyway, I'll post the speed test here on May 9. Otherwise, I'll cancel this free offer asap, lest I forget after 1 year and they will automatically bill me for an additional P500/month.

If you are a PLDT DSL subscriber, chances are your DSL speed is cut into 50%more or less slower.
This started. during the holyweek and PLDT never posted any kind of advisory except if you call thier customer service lines which will usually take 1 hour in waiting time.
Whats been happening?
1 People with 999 plans u are suppose to be getting 384kbps speed is getting speeds 100-200kbps only.
2 Other plans are getting the same problem
3 Internet Cafe owners are having problems with speed and intermittent connection causing their business and income to suffer severely.
PLDTS Solution?
Their tech support said problem will be fixed on April 28, nothing happend then they said maintenance is extended to may 1, still notihing happened. Whats next?
Why didnt they posted any advisory?
So youll never know you are paying a thousand pesos or more for half the speed you are paying for! So that you wont call them and email them to ask for rebates or refunds.
They promised you a certain speed when u signed with them and now theyre not living to their promises without telling you and w/o any itention of telling you.
What can you do?
A) Mail and call their billing department and ask for rebates
B) Copy and paste this post and mass mail it to everyone you know who has PLDT or everyone u care about.
C) spread the word of mouth about the beautiful service
Dont believe me?
Go ahead and do Internet speed testing on these sites:
PLDT PLAY speed tester: http://210.5.68.202/speed/results.php?kbps=184.8&downloadtime=11.547&KB=260.5&recorded=1

Sky ZPDEE cable - 999 plan at 384kbps - True consistent speed, reliable connections and within 24 hours someone will repair your connection if u requested for it.
Destiny cable - New plan - 999 at 512KBPS - Reliable and stable connection - Speed sometimes reaches 700kbps to 1mpbs if only few people is using the line.
SkyDSL - for every 24 hour u lose ur connection they will give u a 500 rebate on ur bill. speed becomes double every off-peak hours 10pm till morning.
and PLDT
- Repair request can reach from 5 days to 1 week to 2 weeks to 1 month
- Customer service hotline waiting time ranges from 30 mins to 2 hours.
- Speed is always slow and sometimes just exactly the paid plan but never ever reaches any speed greater than your plan.
- Intermittent Connections

just so you'd know, you would NEVER get the same speed as stated by an ISP. 384kbps is simply the maximum possible speed (provided all variables such as phone line quality, interference, your pc's computing power, etc. are favorable) and it does not at all mean you'll be surfing the net and downloading mp3s at 384kbps.
like me for example, i've an 8Mbps cable connection but the fastest speed i've ever gotten was only about 7.3Mbps. that's simply because not all conditions are favorable (and never will be) to attain max speed.
also, don't let those speed test sites fool you. like speakeasy for example, their servers are US based and are meant for testing the speed of computers which are close to their locations. so of course you'll get a much lower result if you're located in the philippines.
i don't think there is one website that can give you a real accurate measurement of just how fast you are downloading.
bottom line is, simply have your service terminated if you are so unhappy with it. otherwise, just shut up and be happy you're not on dial-up!

LOL Looks like someone here works for PLDT... hahahaha
1. Yeah im getting it terminated for sure ASAP. Its just that im giving the advisory that people deserve which PLDT doesnt give and doesnt intend to.
2. I know it couldnt be exactly 384kbps if thats ur plan dumbass who said it should exactly be at 384kbps. BUT if you 384kbps plan is averaging at 100-200kbps which is less than 70% or if you are not getting 70% of your 384kbps plan that is a direct sign for slow browse for any DSL service provider.
3. PLDT Techs themselves admitted of the slowdown so wag ka na mas marunong sa mismong umamin ng kasalanan nila.
4. If you are the typical person who can be happy with a bad service if that happens to you then better start you own thread entitled "I would tolerate bad service if it happens to me coz im a dumbass"
This thread is for people whos ON PLDT DSL experiencing slow connection and bad service as the topic states!! OK?

no problem with my line, completely stable connection. Just getting slowdowned speed.
As i mentioned with the above posts. everything is screwed up right now. Some users were reportedly getting double thier speeds while majority lost 50% of thier speeds. Big Networks like internet cafes suffered huge slowdowns while some cafes had consistent intermittent connection for 1 month and counting now.
Most new subsicribers on new lines are not usually affected. to read more about the said slow down read the other PLDT DSL thread here in Pinoyexchange and www.pinoydsl.net pldt section and ull see what i mean.

rally ba?
Hay....sadly to say that most of this providers provide services to limited areas in the Metro.... :depressed: I really wanted to subscribe at destiny for the longest time.... now Im stuck with this Smart Wifi Cr@p service. :bop:

OMG! Smart Wi-fi is Synonimous with PLDS DSL im not sure pero un Smart kasi partnered with PLDT so dun sya naka hookup the only difference is that SMART's Tech customer support and billing service is a tad better than PLDT but the speed and stability of connection is more or less the same.

Before 1699php pa un plan nila so nag swtich ako sa PLDT knowing na DSL should be better than cable un pala walang DSL DSL pag PLDT ang nag mamanage hahaahh!! Im switching back to Destiny or ZPDEE.

So based sa feedback ng mga nagpo-post dito, kanya-kanyang malas lang talaga yan. May malas sa PLDT, meron namang hindi.
If you are fed with it, then cut your service and change to a new DSL provider. :D

I've tried 3 tests above, so far ok naman ah.
Actually there was an incident that the speed falls way way below as subscribed. It took PLDT 2 months to take action on my case. They told me that they are currently upgrading the data center, so my line got affected as well. They repaired it on the spot, and got my speed back within the day. After that, I've been getting speed as to what I have posted above. There are also times I experience no DSL service at all. I called up and they say they are currently troubleshooting the problem and I'm not the only one affected as the whole of the Philippines is affected. They got it back within the day.
