This situation did not happen to me but to the guy a few cubicles away from me. Here's the predicament (or situation): during our last paycheck, said employee was supposed to recieve a certain fixed amount of compensation (or salary). However, instead of receiving said amount, he received an extra US$100,000 - no kidding.

What would you do?
(a) Return the paycheck and report the misprint?
(b) File resignation and take off with the money?

No doubt about it:
(a) Return the paycheck and report the misprint

*okay*

yeah return it. it will be noticed by finance when the audit comes anyway.. so holding onto it will be for nothing

kwentong barbero na naman.

pldt was giving away brand new pc's to their valued customers if you lock in your subscription for a straight 2 years. so i locked in ad got a free pc. what happened then was a month after a glitch in their inventory or something and another brand new pc arrived at my shop. at first i thought that i should just keep it and that its their fault that they made a mistake in sending me one. but the more i thought about it the more i felt guilty inside. i returned the pc and the pldt guys was really surprised that i had returned it they never missed it in their inventory. im not saying that im an honest person for returning it. but the guilt for me was enough reason to do so.

I do the very best I know how - the very best I can; and I mean to keep doing so until the end. If the end brings me out all right, what's said against me won't amount to anything. If the end brings me out wrong, ten angels swearing I was right would make no difference. -abraham lincoln

Said check was returned this morning and replaced with actual amount. But not after making a photocopy of it for evidence, just in case something happens.
