hi der guys, meron ba ** nagwowork sa kahit anong newspaper in the phils, particularly sa mga major dailies lyk pdi ,philstar at bulletin?
paano ba magaaply? kahit as a proofreader sna gusto ko magtry..magkano kaya ang salary ? thanks in advance..:)

you can also email your resume at their corporate websites. then wait some more. if they have openings, they will call you if you are qualified.

I used to round various newspaper companies in my attempt to land a writing job. That was 3 years ago and I was a new grad then. It was hard kasi there's a dearth of writing opportunities here in the Philippines. I was really hell-bent to get a writing job and I went to Manila Bulletin office to the small-time newspaper publishing company, but my efforts provide futile. I am now working for a call center. But the good thing back then I used to befriends some of the applicants na nakakasabay ko and we exchanged numbers. I had been referred by some of them to their former employers and I was able to get some freelance gigs. So I suggest na you also do some networking, because you can get some assignments doing that. Goodluck

i'm not really after the writing job, kahit proofreader okay lang, bonus na lang ***** kung mahire ako as writer..:) exposure and experience lang working in a broadsheet ang habol ko kasi i really love reading newspapers. e sa work ko ngayon halos di na ko mkpagbasa. at least dun, mgagawa ko na ang hobby at the same tym, i earn..:) hehe
