Maliit pala mga sweldo sa mga day job na company. Management positions getting only over 23k a month? Gross pa siguro yon. Sa call center industry normal ang 20-23k FOR AGENTS PA LANG YON. Managers (i.e., supervisors and up) get at least 30k-40k per month. More or less the same amounts nakukuha nila kasi ang deductions for tax and SSS and Philhealth nababawi naman sa nontaxable na travel allowances and hazard pay, pwera pa ang night differential pay pag night work.

It seems only international employers pay well for regular day jobs. Deutsch Bank and Standard Chartered pay around 30k-40k for non-managerial positions. Sobrang underpaid tayo dito sa Pinas, assuming that productivity levels are the same as for expats and equivalent positions abroad, of course.

2. Position: 3D Artist/Game designer/Level builder/Local madman/Diet-Coke of Evil
3. Starting Salary offered: If I spill the beans, someone's bound to say "No Fair", so I'll just say more than the minimum wage. ;)
4. Benefits: Other than medical, dental, vision, occasional free games, direct sales, vacation, royalties, passes to E3 and the likes (movies, ballgame, parks), etc., we get our hands on: some stuff that are either too expensive; not open to the consumer market; stuff that will be in the consumer market months before released (not all though); info that is basically "for-authorized-eyes-only" which can make a gamer drool.
5. Additional Info: Everything's built from scratch. Everything is broken and our job is to fix it. During crunch time, we stay at work anywhere between 12-16 hours a day anywhere between 3-6 months or so, but at least we don't worry about food. We also get 2 weeks to a month off (after killing ourselves). Can't reveal much with all the contract agreements and legal stuff, but to show best example of what I do, check this out (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKkt20zEUAo&mode=related&search=). Not an easy job, but at least I don't have to wear a suit to work, and I get free goodies every now and then.

@lee_archer13, What the H*ll? totoo yan?... nagyayabang lang pala yung kakilala ko na video editor? regal film as far as i know it's big company, hmmm I overrated it.

i know video editing & graphics, i am not good at it.

If people want to make big bucks, sales is where it's at. I ran into a real estate guy at a wedding reception a while back and he said he taught his son to do sales. 8 months of hard work, no results. then BAM, P1M commission.

Sales is where it's at if you want cash. All you need is drive and perseverance*okay* *okay*

meron po sa jobstreet. they have this sort of list of jobs (.eg. call center agents, med trans, accountant) and they will provide details regarding salary info such as minimum salary when one is still a trainee and how much they will get if they have 2-3 years of related work experience
and how much is the maximum salary offered by other companies(since we all know different companies vary in their offers) and stuff of that nature :D *okay*

You are talking about the BPO of Deustche Bank, Deustche Knowledge Service. Your friend was sent there for a training in order to outsource backroom function in the London office of the German Bank.

As for the Bank itself, this is a very elusive firm in the country and god knows how much they are making every bonus season...

Trainee, freshgrad? Don't think so. :bashful:

Yes, if one is qualified freshgrads are more than welcome... I was a product of their Management Trainee Program. Benefits are as follows:

- 23K salary with quarterly bonus.
- 15K clothing and medical allowance
- 15 days VL
- 15 days SL (10 days SL convertible to cash at yearend)
- An increase after promotion and every year subject to performance
- The only drawback is a 3 year bond (200K)

I guess I will just stick it out here for the next 2 years, after which I will try my luck on the foreign banks...

I'm not sure if the Manila Standard article on wages is accurate. The pilots I know make at least twice that amount.

Also, in Metro Manila, an AVP of a foreign bank (corporate side) makes at least PhP100,000.00 a month.

US$150,000.00 - US$200,000.00 a year is about the average salary of an Investment Bank Director (US, Japan, Singapore).

An IT company in Metro Manila was willing to pay C++ programmers PhP70,000.00 a month.

No matter how much you earn, nothing beats money earned honestly. :D (iyung hindi kinurakot, galing sa panloloko ng kapwa, o nakaw!)

My pilot friends say that the average monthly salary of pilots is around US$7,000 worldwide (including The Philippines). It can't be any lower since several major airlines of other countries (like Vietnam, Dubai, etc) are expanding and pirating the seasoned pilots of other airlines.

Filipinos are a hell of underpaid employees. Kaya kayong nasa abroad, samantalahin n'yo ang pag work n'yo diyan. Hirap ng bansa natin, kailan pa kaya tayo maging developed country. Kung tutuusin, malaki ang GNP natin, ang dami nating professionals who earned income domestically and abroad.

depends on your reporting base to say the least, if you're a local working say for tax free countries (e.g. dubai, saudi arabia, bahamas) your earnings are considered tax free meaning you get what you is indicated on your monthly payslip less of course your contributions to your health plan or something

Its not unusual actually to offer a job with the incentive of a tax shield or tax free, heck thats how the middle east has been advertising their jobs ever since.

Allowances can also serve as tax free incentives because the company bears the tax payment for this, although if im not mistaken, they could actually claim this off as expense.

good morning all,

does anyone have an idea what company is this? is this in IT field as in SAP/Oracle functional consultant?

good day..

i doubt that its a SAP/Oracle consultant since based on indeed.com figures for 2008

Average Salary of Jobs with Related Titles
In USD as of Sep 26, 2008
Erp Programmer Analyst $181,000
SAP Security Consultant $153,000
SAP MM Consultant $120,000
SAP $90,000
SAP BI Developer $162,000
Financial Systems Auditor $105,000
SAP ABAP Developer $107,000
ABAP Developer $88,000
Microsoft Dynamics Crm Consultant $81,000
SAP HR Business Analyst $92,000
SAP Developer $95,000
SAP ABAP Programmer $102,000
SAP Fico $94,000

So lets take the biggest salary which is $162,000 or around 8.1M gross per annum (exchange rate of 50).

You could possibly go a bit higher via free lancing say at around $1000 per day or $22,000 per month or $264,000 per annum but people that i know that could garner those rates in the market normally have double digit years of experience in their field.

Malay mo, the guy is a scientist or a war veteran naks :D hehehe

"tax free" can be a misnomer actually... perhaps what the poster means is something similar to my case...

My employer pays for any taxes that is due me... anything at all... what i specify as my required salary refers to what gets banked, hence net pay :)

FWIW, mine in php is ~ 6M/yr "tax-free", plus car and house... but that's work away from home :( :mecry:

It's ok with no tax, but take note the set-back are the following
