View Full Version : ILLEGALLY CHARGED TRANSFER TAX by a BIG TIME DEVELOPER

Just for information.

If you buy any property (house or condominium) and you want to have the TITLE under your name already, please check if you are being charged the correct amount.

There is a big time developer that charges AN ADDITIONAL TRANSFER TAX or AN EXCESSIVE TRANSFER TAX that is 200% MORE than what the Quezon City government is charging.

In addition, be careful when you sign their contracts, make sure you read them 100x before you sign.

My friend bought a condo unit somewhere in QC. She had here title transfered and was overcharged P127,000.00.

This developer is "well loved in Quezon City" because they are good taxpayers daw.... with buyers money!!!! instead of their own pockets!

yes, that's true. be very careful. kasi dapat transparent ang developer sa transfer fees. may sinusunod naman na rates/bracket yan depende sa laki o liit ng unit na binili.

Be aware also of the .75 % business tax charged by QC govt. but some real estate developers pass it to their buyers at 2.0% .. muntik nang madale yung isang family friend namin last month. buti nlang nagverify sila. FYI....

If any of you was charged illegally by this developer or any other developer, you can file a complain with HLURB!

Hay, sometimes I wish we bought sa AYALA LAND na lang para no problem like this... and maganda pa ang finish ng condo ko! :(

Dad bought a unit at one of Megaworld condos at Libis. The unit he got is more expensive than the other side of the building becasue of the view (selling point was the view). After a couple of years, Megaworld constructed another condo beside it blocking the veiw. Get the picture? :-( (i dont want to say something bad pa)
