Sky Broadband has been very terrible for the past year.
They only run pretty well after midnight up to the early morning. Any other time and everything is slow. Browsing is average at best, downloads are at 10% max of what you expect, and video sites such as youtube take forever.
Speed testing it will provide satisfactory results, but who on earth subscribes to an internet service to use it just for speed testing.
Real results are what counts and SKYBROADBAND definitely fails in that respect.

palaging nawawalan ng connection tas kapag kausap mo na yung operator biglang magkakaroon na ng connection.

I have been a Bayantel subscriber for three years now: 768kbps package. I don't have major complaints sa service kasi even if they have some downtimes or slow speeds which rarely happen, they have excellent customer service and they are very quick to respond to customer complaints. The thing is, I am moving to Makati within this month, and I was saddened to hear that there was still no service in the area. I've been hearing lots of complaints about PLDT and I am not inclined to subscribing to their service. I do heavy downloads, mga HD movies from rapidshare or megaupload. The area is within Brgy Sta Cruz, Zapote Road. Sa mga nakatira malapit, I would like to hear suggestions. Thanks po.

Bwiset nga yang myDSL ng PLDT na yan...

I applied sa PLDT (SM North EDSA Cyberzone). Ang sabi 3 days lang daw, pero since approaching Holy Week, baka umabot hanggang April 17 ang installation.

Well, April 17 lang sila tumawag para i-sked yung installation nila either on April 20 or 21. Dumating nung 21, pero bopols yung techie nila, di na-install. Babalik daw bukas, 22. Well, April 30 na ngayon, ni tawag on installation date, wala pa rin. I've been bugging their call center every other day for updates, sabi tatawag daw. Eh until now, zero.

Pag di pa sila pumunta next week, pa-cancel ko na lang.

Taranggago talaga ang PLDT. Ako nga tatlong beses na nagaapply dyan dahil everytime na nagfafallow up ako, wala daw akong pending application sa computer nila! Mga bugok talaga ang mga put@ngina.

Wag mong cancelin! Hayaan mo silang mapagod pumunta sa bahay mo at pag nandyan na sila sabihin mo ayaw mo na! Makaganti man lang!

Just when I thought I was "immune" to PLDT dsl woes, ayun, nearly a week na intermittent to non-existent ang connection ko. :(

Guy help naman. Sa mga taga Caloocan South (Monumento Area) - What DSL works best in this area? I'm on Bayantel but I've had it with their intermittent connection. Several times in one sitting I have to walk away and do something else when the connection goes out :angry:

I hate Globelines DSL. I live in Cainta and as you all know we have been devastated by Ondoy. That day we lost our DSL service. After pestering Globe, they said that the service would not be restored until end of October or second week of November. In contrast, PLDT's DSL service was already up and running last week.

kami, kakalipat lang sa mydestiny. GlobeBroadband kami for mga 4 years tapos after Ondoy,wala kaming internet tapos ang tagal naming nagtatanong for repairs,walang pumupunta. Kaya sa mydestiny muna kami. Medyo okay naman ata dito sa Makati.

Btw, yung YouTube streaming,napakabagal. Nagkacap ba sila ng bandwidth? Sobrang tagal ng pagstream pero ang bilis magload ng mga pages. Sa mga mydestiny diyan,alam niyo ba ang reason or may nagawa ba kayo para bumilis?

I was happy being a SmartBro wireless with antenna customer. I moved to PLDT myDSL to trim down my expenses and I am happy with the service. I use my co-resident's Sun Broadband Unlimited and I am happy with it too. I tried using Globe Tattoo Prepaid in the hospital and I am not happy with it. Napakabagaaaaaaaaaaaal.

accurate ba talaga yung speedtest.net?yung nagcheck kasi ako ng speed kadalasan nasa 500-700kbps lang ang speed pero ang avg dl speed ko sa nasa 150-170 kb/s..btw nag switch na ako from smartbroken to digitel..dikit dikit naka smartbro samin ,kokonti lang kaming naka digitel sa area namin kaya medyo mabilis
