good day!

Ask ko lang kung ano-anong companies ang nagha-hire ng SAP people/professionals? Yung nag-o-offer ng extensive training pagka hire sayo. Aside from Accenture..ano pa ba?
Actually po, SAP-User ng HR (for 2 yrs) and SD (5 mos.) so i guess di na rin ako bago sa mga features at tables ng SAP. I just like to pursue a career in SAP at higher level other than being a user.
thanks po sa lahat!

Mahal kasi training ng R/3 and besides new product yun SAP B1 and cheaper kaya malaki possibility na magmigrate mga small to medium companies dito sa SAP B1 kasi much cheaper than R/3

tama ka. B1 caters to small and medium businesses. the disadvantage of that, you have to know everything from production phase down to distribution. say, you are an Accounting graduate, you will have no problem with the Finacial but how about the HR aspects and sales/distribution?

with R/3 you will focus only on your field of expertise. :)

the best way to learn SAP, be it R/3 or B1 is to join a company that has SAP as it systems. sa una, users lang kayo. then once you are familiarized you can transfer to another company and be a consultant.

BTW can you pm yun company mo as B1 sales baka kasi dun ako nagtraining. tnx

^ I attended a SAP Career night courtesy of KAISA. Akala ko may free seminar sila about SAP modules. Yun pala they are promoting their academy. But Gosh! Their 1-month SAP courses cost like P300-350,000. Tapos Pag bumagsak ka sa SAP Certification you have to pay P25,000 to re-take.

Tama ang advise mag-apply na lang kayo sa mga companies that use SAP. Mas-mahahasa pa kayo dun.

SAP-SD rin ang module ko. *okay* Want to learn other modules as part of my career growth.

Hi ThAHuStLa!! I also want to enroll in the next SAP Academy but the fee is too expensive. Regarding your question of what module is in demand, well, if you are an accounting or business graduate, FICO is the best module for you. If you are an IT person, BASIS and ABAP are the most in demand.

Kasi sa certiifcation is paid directly to SAP Philippines. Not to its training partner, FastTrack.

Parang sa R/3. The training in Kaisa for a SAP Module costs P300,000. But the Ceritifcation costs P25,000, payable to SAP PHilippines as well.

ako rin im interested in training for SAP. i already had an informal training here in our company for SAP R/3. HR module nga lang yun. medyo may alam na rin ako sa pasikot sikot sa SAP (i also handled a couple more less known HR systems before like SAP).

i want to be certified sana so i can pursue a SAP consultant career. how do i begin guys?

dysphasic
May 1, 2007, 02:16 AM
i used to be an abapper - 2 years ako nag dev at upgrade to various SAP systems pero sawa na ako dun. now I'm doing implem for SD. hanggang CRM at EBP pa lang ang external SAP technologies na hinahandle ko... right now the big growth is in BW (business warehousing) and SRM, so if you can get experience in that, nasa hot market ka na overseas. i think mejo lugi ka if HR *** module mo, kasi peoplesoft na *** ginagamit ng most companies for HR work e.

hinde ko gets *** mga magbabayad pa para mag aral lang ng SAP when there's a lot of philippine companies out there willing to hire and train you naman... it's not really worth it to spend your own money to train kasi mahirap pa rin kumuha ng SAP related job kung wala kang work experience with handling the module itself.

usually, people get certified after around 3-4 years experience, but a lot of times, your track record (and your interview bola) speaks for itself. ang consultancy level for functional depende rin sa country of employment - sa singapore it's usually 3 years min., sa australia around 4, sa US naman around 5 years minimum. you must at least have had 2 full implementation cycles, as well as a lot of experience sa config work. consultancy for abap... 2 years plus mejo ok na.

if you plan to work in R/3 it's healthier for your career to do functional work rather than ABAP work. mas walang growth in the long run kung abap ka lang eh.

dysphasic
May 1, 2007, 02:20 AM
PS. naghihire ngayon ang Perfetti Van Melle (makers of Mentos) and Coca Cola for SAP related jobs... aside from the usual like Deutsche Bank, Accenture, Chevron, HP, IBM, Kaisa, TSFI, Supply Chain, and Headstrong. Unilever uses SAP pero outsourced ata to Accenture *** work nila... Jollibee and all it's subsidiaries are outsourced to Magnus ata.

Hmmm... If you want to be certified, you can begin by enrolling at KAISA CONSULTING - the sole training institution of SAP Philippines for SAP R/3.

The training lasts for approx. 25 days (lecture plus case study).

You cannot just be certified without a formal training because SAP Philippines only accepts certification examinees endorsed by its training partners.

Hope this helps.

Quote ko lang narinig ko sa seminar ng Kaisa. Certified SAP ABAPers (or other modules) earn from P45K - P55K. Or could be higher if deployed in other countries.

Not sure for the non-Certified professionals. If your experience and skills really prove your worth then you can negotiate that to your prospective employer.
