Compared to a travel account, particularly the toxic C*****t travel account, is Wamu easier to learn, particularly the tools that will be used? I know the degree of difficulty is also dependent on personal interests but I must admit, after thinking that a travel account is easy, I'm having second thoughts if Wamu will be easier or more difficult since I'm also inclined to be a part of a financial account. Kailangan ba super galing sa Math? I think I have the aptitude for math and numbers but is this good enough.

More on Wamu - when are they formally opening? Is it possible for someone from C*****t to transfer to Wamu via ATP? How do I go about it? Is it true that you have to be with your present account for 90 days (live on the floor) before being given the chance to apply for an ATP? I hope you can enligten me on this. My batchmates told me that even if I reach the 90 days minimum - my transfer would be dependent on the approval of my present team manager or supe. Is this true?

oks lang yan. kung sa nature ng calls ok lang - mas mdali nga ihandle ang calls kesa sa dati kng acct (tech acct sa 5th/f). sana baguhin lang nila ang QA nila. maxadong generalized ang metric points e, mas ok pa ang QA sa exp**** kc divided tlg so it's hard not to get passing scores. anyway try mo kaya mag ATP, mas mganda tlg basta isa ka sa pioneers ng acct.

I explored the possibility of ATP. I sent an email to the person in charge for WaMu as stated in PS Intranet portal. I also went to HR after my shift today. I asked them about the possibility of transferring account. I was told that I had to be live for 180 days in my present account and I must get at least an S rating in order to transfer. duhh.... aLIVE pa kaya ako if I will stay on with C*****t for 180 days. In the employee handbook given during NHO, it was stated that an agent needs only 90 live days on the floor in order to transfer. Ano ba talaga kuya?

Honestly, I want to stay on with PS to join WaMu because I really could feel that this account is challenging but promising. But if I will be forced to stay on with my account, baka maloka na ako!! *peace*

Altwegg NHO is fun but there are times na boring rin siya kasi nga ang haba-haba. What time is your NHO sked? Nasa GY ba kayo agad? I usually pass by the rest room at the ground floor after my 8 am (!) lunch. Hmm...mahanap ka nga! Joke - as if naman mafi-figure out ko kung sino ka.

Pay attention na rin. There is a qualifying exam after NHO. If you fail it - bye, bye PS! Start memorizing the capital cities and abbreviations of the 50 states.

Anyway, I'm still looking forward to the account. First day of NHO was a bit tiring and boring. Too many rules and regulations discussed (of course 1st days are always like that). Before I entered the training area, Ela, the one who interviewed me, called my attention and told me she read everything I posted here at PEx. Namula naman ako sa hiya. :glee: Gusto ko tuloy reviewhin ang mga pinagsasasabi ko dito. :lol: Anyway, I must say that the HR people here are a lot friendlier. There was this one particular NHO trainer who stood out. She's pleasant-looking and was always smiling. I think her name's Jam. Just a question, though. Tenured PS agents, we were about 100+ in our first day today. I was wondering if we won't be broken down into our 'account-groups' in the entire 5 days of NHO? Parang sobrang dami naman kasi namin. Sana small groups na kami.

meron pong tech acct sa 5th/f, it's one of the oldest accts sa PS nsa harap mismo ng WFM. anyway di ko nga alam e kung ano ba **** ktgal ang dpat mo irender sa isang acct b4 ka mkpg-ATP (di ko pa nbbasa ang handbook hangga ***** sa tinagal tagal ko sa PS). i spent 10 months of my time in PS in my old acct before I transferred to c*****t. ask ur sup nlang kung kelan ka pwedeng mg ATP pro tngin ko hindi sila ngpp-ATP sa c*****t ***** e kc my previous request was denied by OPs because the acct is ramping up... but there's no harm in trying :D

I can't help but mention Jam, one of the NHO trainers. I think she's very, very friendly. Seldom do I see her not smiling. In my opinion, she's a big asset to PS.

when i had my NHO, we were 121... at first it was kinda boring but eventually you'll enjoy it.. well, maybe depending on the participants... during my time, a lot are pasaways in asking questions and making papansin, it made the very long orientation kinda lively though...

PS is such a good CC per se but i have to say that im not enjoying with my account which is sales plus the fact that we were transferred to Rob Summit..

BTW, with my present shift which is 4 PM to 1 AM, my average number of calls is 1 = bec sometimes i have 2, sometimes 1 and sometimes 0..... :)

Alright. Here goes. I think it would be better if they will have a separate NHO for supervisors because it really irks me, and majority of the class as well, when some (I stress the word some) of them were asking stupid questions that are self-explanatory like, "can I paste this picture in my temporary ID?" while flashing a 3R picture of herself and her family, etc. If she were cracking a joke, believe me it was very annoying. Also, they ask questions that are too specific when we were just being given the overview of a certain department. Unlike yacarob, I find them not lively. My seatmates and I believe 80% of the class, too, also get irked by their comments. I don't have problems with the supervisors naman, except that some of them sometimes do get into my nerves. Good thing the NHO trainers are nice, kind and sweet. Looking at them always smiling and being friendly to us somehow erases my pissed-off mood. As I've posted before, Jam stands out among all of them because she never frowns and she always exudes that "I'm-happy-with-what-I'm-doing-and-no-one-can-change-that" look. But she broke many hearts when Dave told us that she's getting married. :glee: Anyway, last night, we played two games which I can't recall the names anymore but they were fun especially the second game where we lined up and the person in front will tell the one on his back a long statement which he then will pass on to the next person and so on and so forth. Our final statement was way, way off with the original statement. :lol: Anyway, I do think that it would be better if we were just split up into our small groups. It would be more fun I guess.

Altwegg Hi. You're in the afternoon NHO pala. I had the same schedule when I was undergoing NHO. Believe me, I think every NHO batch always has notable newhires for being pasaway, fashion trend-setter (like wearing a todo-porma Makati look outfit in a sea of jeans-shirts-flipflops), habitually tardy or sleepy or both (hmmm.. sleepy ako lagi sa NHO - BORING kasi). Hindi talaga maalis yung mga pasaway but I agree - they spice up boring NHO sessions. At least, you will also get to know other people who were fortunate or unfortunate (esp. if assigned to C*****t w*a) to be assigned to other accounts.

Yeah, be nice to the sups around. Mabuti na iyong maingat. You know what I mean.

I still know that part of the final exam for NHO is a good working knowledge of the 50 states capitals and abbreviations. Knowing how difficult (for some) it is to memorize, it will really help to start memorizing them NOW.

My sup told me to just stay on with my account although she says she feels that I still need more time to adjust with the demands of the account. Gosh, parang oppressive yung rule ng PS not allowing their agents to be transferred to other accounts esp. if the agents feel that they are not performing well in their respective accounts. Tough luck!

Believe me, I think every NHO batch always has notable newhires for being pasaway, fashion trend-setter (like wearing a todo-porma Makati look outfit in a sea of jeans-shirts-flipflops), habitually tardy or sleepy or both (hmmm.. sleepy ako lagi sa NHO - BORING kasi). Hindi talaga maalis yung mga pasaway but I agree - they spice up boring NHO sessions. At least, you will also get to know other people who were fortunate or unfortunate (esp. if assigned to C*****t w*a) to be assigned to other accounts.

Yeah, be nice to the sups around. Mabuti na iyong maingat. You know what I mean.

I still know that part of the final exam for NHO is a good working knowledge of the 50 states capitals and abbreviations. Knowing how difficult (for some) it is to memorize, it will really help to start memorizing them NOW.

100+ participants na pala ngayon sa NHO?? During my NHO, alam ko hirap na yung trainers sa amin kasi 66 kami noon. What more now?

My sup told me to just stay on with my account although she says she feels that I still need more time to adjust with the demands of the account. Gosh, parang oppressive yung rule ng PS not allowing their agents to be transferred to other accounts esp. if the agents feel that they are not performing well in their respective accounts. Tough luck!

heto. mahirap ang training but not impossible to pass. mataas sahod pero compensated sa dami ng responsibilities, sina pag*gs panay ang billiards at ps2, libre ang kape, hindi ka na maghuhulog ng piso, mas maluwag ang budgeting ng pera dahil sa location at libre ng parking (kahit magbukas na ang SM) at may meal card na ma-bubudget mo talaga gastos mo.

well, you should understand the company in terms of giving out benefits na binabayaran ng company. dyan sa PS the company pays fully the HMO including the dependents pero ang ibang centers, may ilang percentage lang ang babayaran nila then ikaw na ang the rest (pag dating sa dependents) & of course other bonuses na PS ang nagbabayad fully, it is compensated na tin in their salary. pero dapat nga sa mga vets eh same 18k na rin dapat ang offer like with the newbies.

i went to an agency kanina and they'd refer me to peoplesupport, (the lady was telling me about a NCC acct or something I cannot comprehend) saying i will earn more than i currently earn now working in a call center in makati.(just across PSC...literally :lol: ).

i would just like to ask about the non-compete clause. is it still enforced? how about paid leaves? kahit ba probationary ka pa lang meron na paid leaves? or do I have to wait for six months? :rolleyes:

I am lurking for more info coz I'm working for the same company for 2 years and it'll be a major leap that I'll be switching companies all of a sudden. And also, I've applied for PS way back 2004 before I got hired by my current company, but back then, I was only looking for a project acct, and since wala pa, they said the usual (we'll put your resume in active file chuva) and I never received any call from them.

hehehehe dami na akong tinanong (HR, sups etc etc) pero lahat sila iwas topic. anyway doesn't matter kc lumipat na rin ako. etong "ibang company" na nilipatan ko full din ang binabayad during training, mas malaki ang basic pay, halos pareho lang ang medical/dental benefits, may stock options, open-door policy... all that BS. mas ok na ako dito since pareho nalang rin naman toxic dun nalang ako sa nagssweldo ng tama pati at least matino ang lounge, hindi queueing at mukhang squatter ang mga tao sa sleeping room, libre ang food ng GY & AM food provider etc etc etc uli. sinasabi ko lang ang totoo anyway wala namang namimilit na magstay sa PS so bakit kung ayaw ko na choice ko nalang na lumipat sa mas mgandang company habang maaga pa.

BTW magtatayo na ng center ang PS sa davao kc mas cheap ang labor, rent etc sooooooooo if u try to understand how the company is working in terms of expansion, division of labor and earning more profit since mas mura nga sa davao baka etchapwera na ang makati center someday... kaya nga nila itreat ng ganyan ang vets pagdating sa basic pay how much more nalang... anyway lumayas na ako bago pa mangyari yan :lol: :lol: :lol:

Altwegg Yes, puwedeng puwede. Kahit nga yata hindi branded puwede eh - to each his own sa PS as long as you don't go beyond the limits of decency, kahit ano puwede isuot sa PS. For me, this is one of the reasons why I chose to join PS compared to other call centers - the liberal dress code.

i had offers from other CC's, even from from Dell, offering to triple my salary (almost) :eek: . i decided to stay because i think the only reason why i lasted this long in a call center is because of the culture in PS and the nature of my account.

i think knowing yourself and what you can do best prior to your job interview is key to being assigned to the right account.

i know the pay is lower compared to other centers... however, rest assured that we're not at the bottom of the salary pool. i also have issues with myprime, but slowly they're getting resolved. it just needs vigilance and constant feedback from our end.

sometimes it's not just about the money.

after two years, i still find my job challenging and fun. i like to explore my skills, and PS allows me to do that. it's not a strict company in terms of the process, but it demands high performance - this is the perfect environment for me.

good luck to everybody who moved on (i know i also will... someday). but please know that wherever you go, there's a bit of PS inside of you that helped you reach your dreams, and your PS brothers and sisters are proud of you.

How do I answer this after being guilty for always describing my travel account as toxic?

1) Probably only about 10-20% of the situations that you will handle once you go live (take calls from customers) were ACTUALLY taught during training. The rest - you will learn while making mistakes along the way. Mabuti sana kung laging may tutulong sa iyo. Kung wala - bahala ka sa buhay mo!

2) Uncoooperative, ego-maniacal supes - Well, in my account, majority of the supes are so feeling - as in, they already forgot that they were mere Ereps before they were promoted. Laging kawawa ang mga agents - esp the newbies. Once you dare attempt to ask them questions, they will probably give you the cold shoulder treatment or probably think that you are not existing at all. During training, the trainors would always say - your supes are there to help you. Big baloney.

3) For an airline reservation account - how would you like to deal with 5 GDSs that will be taught in say - 1 week! These are the systems you will use everyday to process flight reservations and there is one particular GDS na talagang nakakawindang ng buhay mo (find out when you go live). Plus - there is the pressure to hit the metrics pero impossible kasi you will always have to call the airlines from time to time, transfer to another dept. or worse, you don't know what to do and no one is around to help you out.

Generally speaking, is a financial account more difficult or easier than a travel account? What's your comment (directed to everyone reading this thread)?

michelle005 The different GDS are really challenging to learn and use everyday. But I've heard that if you gain enough experience, the different airlines would be ready to hire you at anytime. I've heard of some who went abroad already and are now earning megabucks after gaining enough experience from handling airline reservations.

With your experience, I think you'll be a cinch for Team Manager position. I just hope you'll turn out to be an approachable TM.

Regarding the supes, hay, puro mga ego-manical *****es silang lahat. I've posted my comment in "The Voice" a lot of times already but there is no positive feedback whatsoever. It all fell on deaf ears. :grrr:

Yup. Merong sup evaluation. Every August or September is our mid-year feedback and February is our annual appraisal. Reps get the chance to evaluate or give feedback on their sups' performance during these appraisal cycles.

There's a 90-day rule if you want to apply for TS trainee position. Just visit the intranet for details.

I told him to just wait coz baka the hr people are just too busy. Would it be okay for him to call for a follow up. He was told daw kasi na if he didnt receive a call by 7 last night it means na they considered someone else for the position. Ayaw nga nya magfollowup coz yun daw sinabi. I adviced him to call coz wala naman mawawala. if he didnt get it, at least he knew it.

The HR who did the orientation told us that we're already done with all the recruitment process (background check etc.) and we just have to wait for the date of the NHO since thay haven't scheduled us yet.. no job offer and contract yet, but she did show us and explained the benefits.. we just have to wait for their call :( i do hope they give us a call sooner :) i was just wonderin how long is the waiting time... is this a positive or a negative sign?

Sobra ka naman...:lol: may phobia lang ako dyan kasi there are some companies na super mag background check. Wala pa din pala ako sked ng interview..Sabagay di naman ako nagmamadali...Actually baka October pa me magiging available. May 90 days validity pala yung offer..kaya gagamitin ko yun if ever..Preggy kasi yung kasama ko sa office..leave sya ng July..so pretty much sure if I resigned by June di me papayagan ng office dahil wala ng time maghire and magtrain ng papalit sa akin. To tell you frankly di pa rin talaga kabuo yung loob ko na lumipat..Medyo from the province pa me and marerelocate pa me if ever.

bakit mo kasi isinama kaya nga basic salary ang nakalagay pero sana naman hindi nila itanong sa employer mo yon. cross your finger :D

Okay na rin kasi grabe - super dami ng calls ko lately. May queueing na naman sa account namin. I always end up having a sore throat after shift. I must agree with a previous comment here regarding the sort of "cost-cutting/maximizing each agent's time" approach of PS. In my account, some agents (like yours truly) are tasked to handle CS for 2 brands owned by C*****t. Type in 601 and 607 in your CMS. Gosh - laging may queue sa pesteng 601 at halos lahat puro irate callers. :grrr:

Ang nakakainis pa - for the past 2 days, 5 minutes to endshift na ako, doon pa pumapasok yung mga calls na ang hirap at ang tagal i-resolve. Di naman kasi puwedeng mag-ACW dahil for sure flagged ka ng Forcedesk.

I hope you won't mind - could you give me an idea of the account? I'm really interested. Credit card ba or banking transactions?

Betchie, cedric22 Hmm.. I did not know na ganito na pala ang policy ng PS ngayon. I'm wondering why PS is continuously hiring eh hindi naman pala kaagad makakapagbigay ng job offer sa mga applicants. Guys, okay nga dito sa PS but if you think you can't wait for the formal job offer, okay rin lang mag-apply sa ibang call center. There are other better paying CCs around na hindi pa ganoon kahirap ang account. I hope you don't get me wrong here.

I was offered a contract saying that I will be starting on May 15, kaso the contract never indicated what account I would be in. I asked the HR, but she just said na may surveillance mic daw at di daw nya pwede sagutin.. same thing happened during the job offer/orientation. So, I just asked her if it was an outbound-sales account. Sabi nya wala daw PS ganun. Ganun ba talaga dito? What does it mean? Baka naman palipat-lipatin ako ng account or wala pa talagang definite account.... Is there a way for me to cancel the contract, if ever something "fishy" happens?
