[k]jwan: I think it depends on the account you'll eventually end up with, from the years that I've worked here, I can say that there are ups and downs... Agent level can become a real struggle depending on the account, but from what I know everyone's really friendly, that helps reduce the stress that you'll get.

Hehehehe.. it's my 2nd week at PS!!! NHO was ok... we're doing Client Specs already... 4th floor na. So, that gives identity to those who're doing prod there? taking our first assessment on friday.

Ang daming taga-UST. saya.. i'm watching Game 2 before going to work. Pipila ako sa USTe kapag may game 3. :)

PS is so wierd. Out of sheer boredom, I went to thier Makati office three weeks ago to apply. They didn't even bother to do an initial interview, we were huddled into this room to take the exam.

Took the exam and 30 minutes later, my name plus 6 others out of 30 were called. Shucks! Did I fail? This is impossible! NOPE. We passed!
My golly, out of 30 only 7 passed? and to think it was a no brainer exam?

Anyway, I'm supposed to have my final interview that afternoon, but since I have a bowling tournament to attend I decided not to show up for my finals.

Two weeks later there's this guy who's been calling if i already took the exam, so I told yup I did and passed so I'm just waiting for a reschedule of the final interview. Three days later it's a girl this time who called. Same question, I gave the same answer.

YESTERDAY, in the middle of the storm someone from PS again. Dang! They said, they have found my papers and now they will conduct the final interview OVER THE PHONE! Okay.... so had my finals. Will find the results later today. If ever this will be call center job offer number 3. Hehehe

Wierd kasi, they kept on asking if i already took the exam. Sabi na ngang tapos na eh. It's a no brainer poh. At least for me, anyway. Di ako nagmamayabang, matalino lang po talaga ako. Kung nahirapan ka sa entrance exam ng PS, ewan ko na lang.

FYI, done with the final interview---REJECTED THE OFFER, just like what I did with DAKSH-IBM. I have pending offers from Accenture and Sykes whose pay and benefits are much higher than PS. So there!

dickie... initial interviews are sort of formalities lang... and also some sort of giving you heads up so that if you could pass the tech exam..then kung it's time for your final interview na..you'd be more prepared kasi nabigyan kana ng puna on the things na you have to practice on or something....

Beware of this moreno-type closeted *** (spare me with the negative comments on my discrimatory remark bcoz I know how it feels too! :P) recruitment person doing final interviews for PS. Just to be clear though, I'm not in any way bad-mouthing PS. In fact, I know a lot of excellent PS people (mostly agents) and I invite people to apply for any position (for excellent benefits on top of the basic salary), just having issues with this very specific *** person. :rotflmao:

Going back, he is easily intimidated when he feels that he's at the losing end of a great debate. So if you know him personally, please please ask him to practice a little skill called "active listening" or try to confirm first the question before answering to avoid out-of-topic answers. *okay*

hello ps peeps! i start working at PS a week ago (am a cc virgin), grabe bilis ng process. say i applied online last night, i got a call the next day and was asked to take the exam at 9am the following day. after taking the exam (finished around 10am) was asked to stay to have our final interview. got interviewed around 11am and was asked again to come back at 2pm of the same day for the job offer. 1 day lang pala talaga noh?!

i think i can relate to what you are saying, batch 13 of your account are people from our NHO batch. supposed to be hindi na sila mapupunta sa account nyo, during the 2nd day of our NHO training it was announced na sa travel na sila mapupunta kaya most of them disappointed. on the 3rd day sinabi ulit na balik financial account sila and yes you are right last batch daw sila na nag client spec ngayon sa 4th floor wala pa yata sila kasunod

1) I'm taking up law in a school in mendiola. my schedule is Monday-Friday from 4:30pm to 9:30pm and Saturdays 1:30pm to 5:30 pm.

2) Given number 1 i need a work schedule (fixed or shifting) that either: a) starts an hour after my classes has ended, or b) ends two hours before i come to class.

I'm sad na aalis na rin ako ng PS... after 3 years of dedicated service and loyalty... I just woke up one day losing my motivation to work.... first.. i always complained about my PC... it has been my concern for almost 6 months.. finally helpdesk was able to resolve it after a numerous phone calls and begging that I really cannot take how my pc is working.... finally they increased the capacity of the virtual memory... i'm coaching and evaluating agents whose salary is much higher than me.. i think it's unfair...hmmmmmm....... i told my supervisor about it... but we cannot do something about it...... i have a lot of work... even go back during my restdays... being flexible with my sched.... and I never complained for the almost 3 years.... i'll resign without getting my free jacket for 3 years of service... too bad...hahahaha joke lang...

^ yeah. thats the reason why i left ps, pero sa T******** ako sa 3rd flr. i heard mas mahirap daw samin sa 3rd floor compare sa E****** dahil mas marami kaming tools na ginagamit. ay ewan basta ayoko lang ng hot sit policy nila shift ko 5am 430 nsa floor na ko naghahanap ng matinong pc almost 6 minsan 7am na nga eh wala pa rin ako makuhang pc na matino ayaw pumasok lagi ng nt log in ko. tapos nirereklamo ko lagi break sched ko kasi naman 5am-2pm shift ko tapos 7am lunch ko na agad?! wtf! tapos 15min break ng 9am tska 11am?! haay naku kung kelan need ng agent ng matagal na pahinga dun lang ibibigay ang 15min na break ang dahilan nila bigay daw ng client yun. pag break mo kaylanagn mo pa mag pa alam pag sobra ang queue bawal mag break kahit inu-ulcer ka na sa gutom! i left kasi feeling ko waa epek ang open door policy nila kasi mas mahal nila client nila kesa sa agent nila. i went there last month balita ko magkakaron daw ng mass termination ng mga lumang agent because of SA, dyus ko pagkatapos nila pakinabangan yung mga agent nung peak season ngayon sisipain nila dahil andaming bagong agent na papasok galing sa training. i feel for them talaga. na missed ko na yung trabaho ko (mahirap pero enjoy naman), ka batch ko tska sweldo ko pero ndi ko kaya matiis yung policy nila hndi kasi makatarungan eh. kaya ganun na lang sila magbigay ng platinum na health card kasi magagamit talaga ng agents yun.

sana sa tds lang ganun pero sa ibang account hindi. gusto ko bumalik sa ps pero ayoko na sa operations. kaya kayong mga gusto pumasok ng travel account sa ps naku isep-isep muna!

I was reading most of the replies here but there was a certain post that makes me wonder. There was a guy who wishes to apply to apply as an E-REP then the PS recruiter said that one of the requirement is college educated/college level. It inspires me to apply at PS, I applied online then after a day they called me up for a schedule of exam and interview at PS. I opened up to them that I've only reached and completed 2nd year 1st sem, I wasn't able to enroll for the second semester because of financial problems of that time. Years goneby and finally I had a chance to go abroad, My previous employer (Mcdonalds Corporation) which is based in the mid-east was been so kind to me for giving me a chance to undergo their management course which it took 2 years to complete. After 6 long years, I finally decided to come back home. I really want to be a part of People Support, I truly believe that I can do the job very well. During their phone screening, I opened up to them that I wasn't able to complete my 2 years of college, they advise that my application will be on hold. I really believe that People Support will be the perfect company for me. Any advise??

^ wait lang po ha, clear natin you mean the other 2 year course given to you by mcdonalds is different from your previous course? tama po? ang alam ko kasi peoplesupport only entertain applicants who completed his/her 2nd year without any failing remarks/ back subject. during the phone interview did you discuss about the 2 years management program? baka kasi ma consider yun eh since it was a diploma program naman yata. not really sure pero feeling ko the reason as to why they put your application on hold is because of your college educational status

I'm asking this because my friend already had the job offer, signed the contract, and was scheduled for training. He received a text message on the next day that he signed the contract from PS. They were asking him to go to the office again for assessment -and this will be before the training. So, is the assessment still part of that hiring process (even though he was already offered a job, signed the contract, and was scheduled for training)? What happens during assessment? :bashful:

altwegg at michelles, thanks sa encouragement. naipasa ko yung exam. i was scheduled for a final interview on the following day. kaya lang, i chickened out. kasi i felt kinakalawang na english ko, having been a plain housewife for the past years. baka hindi ko maiarticulate ang gusto kong sabihin in straight english lalo na sa phone simulation. i didn't know what to expect kaya i withdrew my application. i will try to reapply after training myself sa hows and whats ng call center at sa english speaking. pero, i really fell in love sa office nila at sa employees mismo. para bang magandang magwork dun.

jeff...i dont know abt your acct...but on the 5th flr travel, depends on your appraisal rating,tenure and position....appraisal ratings which is O to S....so O being the highest can be around 1.5k to higher and so on and so forth with S having the lowest salary increase (duh!) ...basta ask your sup or manager...about you goin on leave... you have to check that with HR if they can allow you to go on 1month leave or longer...pero uubusin na PTO mo :D

hi everyone. i applied at PS. i took all the exams and passed it. then this morning i went to their office coz i had an interview. Actually last week when they told me that i will be interviewed, i thought that i was going to be asked about computer stuffs coz i applied for TSR, but when i went to their office this morning, i was surprised that i was not interviewed as a TSR applcant instead i had a phone simulati0n. Totally unexpected. Actually there were three of us, and all of us applied for the same position. both of my friends were interviewed as TSR. i mean they were asked about computer stuffs, the kind of interview i expected. The three of us were interviewed on the sme time but in diffrnt rooms. so i had no idea what they had to. nyways, When i entred the room the HR instructed me on what should i be doing, a phone simulation. then after that, i was interviewd by the HR and was asked what happened. i told him everything and in the end he told me that i will take the 4-week training. and that's the only thing i got from him, i mean that i understood of all the things he said. he also said something bout "endorsng to the next..." thing which i clearly did not understand. the interview ended and i went out of the room and talked to my friends on what they did and what are the results f their interviews, they told me that they were just interviewed and that's it, they were told to come back on april but no exact date, they were not asked to take the training. also they did not have a phone simlation or whatsoever... i was all puzzled when i left PS office.

i have alot of questions running through my mind right now.. cn anybody here answer me pls...

can somebody answer these questions:

What does the 4-week training mean?

also can somebody complete the sentence, "i will be endorsing you the next...."? and what does that sentence mean?

also why is it that i was asked to do a phone simulation while my friends weren't when in fact the three of us applied for the same position..

hi everyone. i applied at PS. i took all the exams and passed it. then this morning i went to their office coz i had an interview. Actually last week when they told me that i will be interviewed, i thought that i was going to be asked about computer stuffs coz i applied for TSR, but when i went to their office this morning, i was surprised that i was not interviewed as a TSR applcant instead i had a phone simulati0n. Totally unexpected. Actually there were three of us, and all of us applied for the same position. both of my friends were interviewed as TSR. i mean they were asked about computer stuffs, the kind of interview i expected. The three of us were interviewed on the sme time but in diffrnt rooms. so i had no idea what they had to. nyways, When i entred the room the HR instructed me on what should i be doing, a phone simulation. then after that, i was interviewd by the HR and was asked what happened. i told him everything and in the end he told me that i will take the 4-week training. and that's the only thing i got from him, i mean that i understood of all the things he said. he also said something bout "endorsng to the next..." thing which i clearly did not understand. the interview ended and i went out of the room and talked to my friends on what they did and what are the results f their interviews, they told me that they were just interviewed and that's it, they were told to come back on april but no exact date, they were not asked to take the training. also they did not have a phone simlation or whatsoever... i was all puzzled when i left PS office.

i have alot of questions running through my mind right now.. cn anybody here answer me pls...

can somebody answer these questions:

What does the 4-week training mean?

also can somebody complete the sentence, "i will be endorsing you the next...."? and what does that sentence mean?

also why is it that i was asked to do a phone simulation while my friends weren't when in fact the three of us applied for the same position..

i read your post, i was also got confused about what you were saying there, you said you applied for a TSR position? did you ask first if they have an opening for that position? because i am also planning to go there this coming Thursday to apply for the same position, man thats a bit vague; i mean they didnt give you any idea about whats gonna happen next?, i think you should contact their HR and ask whats really going on, because you went through all of these stages and they will just leave you hanging... or maybe send them an email, im gonna go this coming thursday and i will ask first if they have an opening for the TSR position and if so ill also ask them when would that start... dont worry i will ask about that situation that you had... because if they dont have an opening for the TSR position; i might as well apply for inbound sales or for any call center position. ill send you a pm as soon as possible.

this is my say about your situation. they (HR) might have thought that you weren't applying for the TSR position, thats probably the reason that they didn't ask you about computer stuff, apparently HR asked your friends about those things. heres the thing, the "endorsed to the next thinggy? that might be a Operation's manager interview or another interview for you, and probably your friends weren't able to make it through thats why there were asked to go back on April.

i think what you should really do is ask the PS HR peeps.

Guys, i passed the final interview including the simulation thing. It was a very good experience. I will only get the job offer though sa April pa kasi thats only time I can start working. Anyways thanks for the input I have been reading here sa PEX, it has helped me lot.
