hi guys. i wasn't able to go online the past week. pagod na ako when i get home.

hi altwegg and blue_blooded21, in fairness pinabalik na yung pagtawag sa mrg 41800 like before i transferred to transition. hindi kasi effective yung dating nilang scheme na paraise ng red flag.
it's quick to call 41800 now but good luck when lots of people are calling at the same time. i remember it used to take 30 minutes to 1 hour to dial the escalation que.and us mrg is so much nicer compared to a lot of the local mrg. siyempre, nice yung mga pexer na mrg =)

Altwegg is right, the account is relatively easy. i enjoy taking the calls compared to all the accounts i've been with in previous call centers i've been with.
We may posts negative comments in the thread but it ain't all bad. I suggest you guys try it out first before deciding based on our comments. joekristoffer, callcenterbum , good luck! don't lose despair! =)

basta nag-submit lang ako ng resignation letter. i indicated na it is immediate, effective date so and so (in my case, it was april 5). wala nga yung sup ko nun kaya sa tm ako nagpasa.

Im still thinking if Ill resign or not.. I cant seem to get a final decision..hahay..Sayang kasi yung premium ko.. Im close to one year in PS..Probably, Ill wait nalang

In fairness, I like it better now that we're transferring escalations to the domestic bankers... it's easier compared to the last procedure of Sup-Sup Buddy-VDN...

I heard from a friend na nagbabawas na ng tao ang ibang site na nasa harap lang natin..tapos, magdadagdag tayo this June.. yun daw ang demand ng client..well, in clients point of view, maganda ang performance ng site..but, sa mga agents di masyado...

kelangan ata magresign para mabigyan ng better offer. kasi yung isang batchmate ko na mistiso looking, eh dapat resign na siya pero binibgyan na offer na Sup without having to apply for it. Eh diba si TM SJ dapat resign na siya tapos binibgyan na offer for OM to replace the other one? This is too much.... Mabuti naman at wala si TM PR for the meantime kasi nagbawas ang ingay sa floor kahit konti

hmmm..magbabawas yung nasa harap natin? i think that's a great idea...kasi, ang daming feedback and procedures na mali, eh... though, that would only mean na tayo ang magdadagdag? haay...
humihina ang account.. meaning... well, let's just say, hindi na talaga katulad ng dati ang account natin.. i mean, bakit ang mga Sups may meeting with the TM, tapos tayo, walang meeting with the Sup? kailangan natin yun... hindi yung puro trabaho..

yes... i think so too... may kilala ako na nag-submit din ng resignation, tapos lo and behold, the following week, ATM na sa transition... hmmm.. parang hindi naman ata magandang move on the part of management kasi wala man lang screening process with SOME of ATMs sa transition.. pero i guess, it's their decision...
ang masakit lang dun, baka pinaguusapan ka ng ibang tao sa floor, at sinasabing "kaya lang naman naging ATM yan, kasi tinakot ang management na aalis.."
then again, i guess kung talagang bent on leaving the company ka, kahit na ganun ang offer sa yo, aalis ka, hindi ba?

you know what, i used to be an atm for transition. i assisted batch 10,11, and 12 and then i transferred to abay. we were promised before by management that we will be automatic atms for production and then we were sent back as agents. and then now, atms for transitions have allowances, P1800 although i still have to verify that information. ang sama ng loob ko talaga with management but i'm sticking it out pa rin kasi ayoko magpatalo sa kanila (and pangit sa resume na palipat lipat ng company)

Hay naku. Just don't expect. Promises are made to be broken especially in our account.
Basta ako, since I am already resigning, I declined the ATM position. The job description, and along with it the higher chance of being promoted, looks good ON PAPER. However, basing from previous experiences, they are just words typewritten on a short bond paper. Promises in this account never materialize. Period.
In my opinion, some agents who were promoted are 'teacher's pets.' My teammate, who applied for the supervisory position but did not get any update, was once told by her former supervisor, "baka mahina ang backer mo." Naku ha. My teammate is better than this supervisor I'm talking about in all aspects.

Sinking ship na ba talaga PS? I've been here a while now, while the company wasn't as good as it was, it's hard to believe that it's the worse. I'd still like to believe that it's still better than average...

hello everyone, may I ask if the rumor is true that if you are employed at PS the you resigned, you are not allowed to apply on any call center for one year?
and also, may I ask how much the salary for newbies. for example, if you are applying in a credit card application account.
If someone can help with these questions I would really appreciate it.

PS is strict with people coming from other centers that have NCC ( only selected companies have ncc) but if you're tranferring to another company and you're coming from NCC i think it's less stricter because other companies are mass hiring and need people to fill in seats.
Salary is based from experience. If you have no experience basic is 13k plus allowances (night diff, special shift allowances,etc) 1.5 years experience is around 14,500 plus allowances, and 2 years experiences minimum is 16k plus allowances. When you have the 16k basic pay it's additional P800 to your basic when you are regularized. When your basic is 13k, it's additional 2k when you're regularized.
this was the offer when i signed the contract for operations one year ago although it may have changed but at least you have an idea.

Been with PeopleSupport for over 3 yrs and left the company last year. PS was very good when I started but has declined greatly ever since they focused all attention to revenue. This is about the same time that they transferred to PeopleSupport Center. I know almost everything that was going on in PS during my stay as I have been an OIC Team Manager there.
If you are considering PS to be your next company, I just want you to know a couple of things about PS.
1. Low salary
2. Growth is very slow
3. Awesome HMO (Maxicare - 500k/yr) this is the sole reason why i stayed that long
4. Strict about employees leaving (NCC)
5. NCC is not an issue to them if you are an applicant
6. PeopleSupport is a very good training ground

I filed for my resignation na, 30- day notice..it wil be effective May 19, 2007.. Ill be transferring to a better company..hehe.. ANd, its not a call center job.. I hate to leave the people/friends but I have to. First day ko kanina as ATM sa transition, nakakapagod..

neverasunset , thanks for the input! it's good to hear information or the view of someone from management's side. you know what, if management looks after the welfare of the agents first, everything else follows. give to the agents, and the agents give back. it is the agents who are running the show.
mangement is doing the reverse in my account. they give us all the restrictions and issue warnings whenever they please (or when as told to by client) and then people resign.and then when people resign, management has a hard time because production floor is understaffed. in my account, when it is understaffed, management decides not to allow any pto sometimes shift swaps. this in turn causes people to call in. the problem goes back to management.
my point is, if management takes care of the agents, everything follows and we will be able to give back to the client and maybe even more than expected.
sorry, i'm really upset with the way things are handled in my account and i use the site as an outlet instead of being verbal about it at work.

i enjoyed being an atm in transiiton more than an atm in abay. for one thing,i love my sup that time. Plus, i super bonded with my agents especially from batch11! (I love you cutie_8!) until now we are still like our transition family. it was also an opprtunity for being on aux8 the whole day! yehey!
It was fun and also tiring especially when i handled the first batch. They didn't have an uids, headsets, etc... the second week of transition was devoted to calls and it was my first time to floorwalk and i always got home exhausted. Exhausted as in dead to the world as early as 6pm.
Being in abay is another story...
i feel like i wrote a loooooooooong entry.....

i heard something during lunch, People Support Center is not big enough to accommodate all of us....i heard a new location is needed...does that mean we're going to move out and relocate?
where? when? I also found out that we already have our 3rd site in 6780 (near 6750?) to accommodate smaller accounts....just opened 2-3 weeks ago...

i heard something during lunch, People Support Center is not big enough to accommodate all of us....i heard a new location is needed...does that mean we're going to move out and relocate?
where? when? I also found out that we already have our 3rd site in 6780 (near 6750?) to accommodate smaller accounts....just opened 2-3 weeks ago...
from what i've heard ps will be opening a new bldg in the fort...

PS is a great company if i may say. That's the company... not the all the accounts. W*m* is the greatest flaw of PS. Grabe. They totally justified the meaning of SLAVERY. The management in W*MU sucks. Reality Check : nasan na karamihan sa batch1? nasan na mga tenured agents? nasan na ang mga performing agents? either nasa vxi/amex, 24/7, etc. bsta makaalis lang sa W*m*, kahit gs2 nila sa PS, they all resort to resigning na lang.
Sorry for blurting out, masama lang talaga loob ko, coz i love working with PS. I was from a diff account, everything was doing perfectly okay. then ng-ATP ako sa W*M*, dun na nasira career ko sa PS. nag-resign na din ako, kahit ayaw ko. sukang-suka na talaga ko sa palakad ng W*M*.

hear hear. im one of the tenured agents who abandoned ship. sabi nga namin ng iba kong mga kasamang nag-resign, tinrain kami ng wamu para magtrabaho sa amex.

Hi. There are talks about the status of PS in the industry that it is not doing very well financially. Evidence is the expected delay of pay this end of April. They attributed this to the loss of confidence from investors due to the pull-out of major accounts, which in turn is caused by poor performance. Will you be willing to help PS survive through this? I think we should all convey to the management our suggestions on how to pull-up from this crisis. My opinion is that PS have lost the quality of service it provides because of mass hiring and rapid expansion. There simply is no way one can rush into getting quality new hires with the process of employment being implemented right now in PS. The HR should be more strict in qualifying applicants, especially in comm skills. Over the past seven months of my stay here I have seen many agents, including those who have been regularized, that exemplify how loose the screening has become with regards to comm skills.

True. I was able to listen to some of the new agents of my former account and my golly. What was HR thinking when they recruited some of them? They might have disregarded the 'communication skills' part when they took 'em.

Delayed na nga ang pagpasok ng incentives, pati salary ba naman? this early on, i'm beginning to consider other options na talaga. i don't want to be the last to leave kung saka-sakali.

it's true that the salary for april30 will be delayed this time. Normally when payday is set on a monday, the payroll is made available as early as saturday. There is a delay in adjustments that needed to be included in the april 30 payout.
I did recruitment for ps before transferring to ops. i was strict with the applicants' comm skills. a minor mispronounciation doesn't get the applicant through the next step which is taking the exam. since i was an agent before doing recruitment from other centers, i know how important comm skills are.
Sometimes, if comm skills of the applicants are trainable or can be corrected with guidance, the applicant is endorsed to commet training which is unpaid training for two weeks or so for the applicant to improve before endorsed to operations. if they show potential they are given a job offer/ contract for signing.
sometimes i wonder how applicants pass through the entire procedure and then you hear how terrible they are on the phone.
When i was undergoing transition,i was listening to a rep now program analyst in my account, i was shocked to hear how his comm skills sounded. he couldn't pronounce words right or enunciate some of the letters in a word properly which resulted to the customer asking him to repeat what he is saying several times. it was giving me a headache but he was very good at handling the call and very confident. so there....

I agree. One mistake also is the hiring of not so competent leaders. Because of the size of the account, I would agree that it is quite difficult to handle it.However, if leaders are properly trained and screened this might have minimized the problem. Undeniably, PS is still one of the leaders in this industry. Even if Im leaving the company by May 19, I am stilll hoping that certain policies wil be reviewed...

I agree with you. The acount's OM already had a talk to recruitment and asked about the "quality" of the individuals they endorsed to the account. Im assisting in training right now and only a couple was endorsed to production. The good thing is the managment is very strict in implementing the Training Fall Out policy. If an agent will not be able to achieve a specified metric during transition, they will be endorsed to HR..(that means termination).....hehe
Im so excited for my last day..

guys, our supervisor just sent oun an email that our pay we will be credited early morning of April 28. They told us to just disregard rumors that we will have our sweldo on the 30th. This coming payslip will also reflect the adjustments regarding the annual appraisal last feb.
and i have to agree to the previous posts above that mentioned about the deteriorating comm skills of new hires..
i was assisting newbies on the floor for some weeks now and i was also shocked on how and why they were able to pass the screening process. i understand that others are trainable but some of them...well i don't know they should take planet and comet firsts..hehe

I was with PS-Cebu from March 2004 until March 2006. All in all, it was a good company: the culture and the people, mostly. Even my account was good (a US Internet Company) but I felt like it was getting me nowhere. When I was out of PS, I realized a lot of stuff but mostly the pay was bad, the HMO was great, though.

Hmmm. As far as I know, there are only two PAs on the floor and both guys are dear to me as they are, first and foremost, my friends and, secondly, my teammates. So which of the two is this? I am guessing the one from Batch 1 because the other guy is from a later batch. Well, Batch 1 guy admits naman he is having some difficulty saying some words, but, he talks confidently, knows the account very well and possesses a real good voice.
