I went to Robinsons Summit yesterday and had the initial interview. The HR who interviewed me said that they will be calling the next morning.

Walang tumawag kanina. My problem is that I don't have my phone. I usually borrow a cellphone from my boardmate every morning. That's the only time that I can be contacted.

I don't know how to follow-up on my application. I just have one number for the HR. Diba dalawa branches ng PS? I forgot the name of that girl.

Ganun ba talaga nadedelay ang tawag? Kung di naman ako natanggap dapat may e-mail na sakin. Ewan ko lang ha, ang labo naman kung sa initial interview di na kaagad ako natanggap. Honestly mas maayos pa ako magsalita kaysa dun sa HR. Maganda din laman ng CV ko. Tapos wala pa naman siya natatanong sakin na importante. So kelangan talaga ng phone interview.

Tulungan nyo naman ako. Ayoko ituloy yung application ko dun sa Discovery Suites.:D

Last year kase, first Saturday ng December pumasok sa account. Pero it was preceded by an email from Rozl. No word from her yet so we'll keep our fingaz exed. But that's not the only thing to get excited about. To the newbies, expect a large amount to reflect in your pay for the second half of the month..thanks to good ole tax adjustment :lol:

Kaya pala patrang sub-human ang kita ko ngayon since 2 pay periods pa lang ako sa PS, but hopefully there'll be that adjustment para at par!

Questions about the 13th month pay should be addressed to Noel of Finance. Anyway, the 13th month pay was already rolled out last saturday, so if you didn't get any last saturday, chances are you won't get any.

The party was scheduled from 6pm to 1am so that it can accommodate the most number of people. GY people can attend the party before going to work while PM people can go there after their shift, while us AM people had to wait at least an hour before the party starts. And it was a good move, imo, to place it on a Friday night since it allowed non-ops people like us to go, unlike in the past, we really had to make an effort to attend the party since it was on a Saturday.

Food was disappointing though. PiQ was right, the party at Equitable two years ago had excellent food! And it was buffet to boot! Oh well...kinareer ko pa rin yung pasta at dessert :glee:

Ang pangit lang talaga ng venue...kailangang dayuhin pa. At sa sobrang sama ng traffic situation nung biyernes, mahigit isang oras bago kami nakarating dun. And to think galing lang kami dito sa Philam Tower... buti pa yung sa Equitable, hindi hassle para sa mga may pasok pa.

Currently I'm in a 10x4 shift (3 days rest) and last weekend I found out na mejo mababa ang sweldo ko (P900 short the usual semi-monthly pay an eRep gets). I talked with my peers and they told me one of the possible factors is my sked since I report to the office in the lesser number of days than those who report for work on an 8x5 basis. Do you think this is possible, coz if ever when the next shift bid comes I'll select the 8x5 option. And besides I'm realizing that the 10x4 shift isn't for me kasi nakakatorete esp. when you get irate callers...

Well, all things taken into account, the party wasn't all bad. The bands were mostly OK (I liked Briggs' band, the ska band, and Lila's ensemble the best), it was fun to be at the Manila Polo club (come on, the place had Rolex wall clocks), and nothing beats getting everyone from every team all together. Minor disappointments aside, the Christmas party really was fun.

Get the 8x5 shift. You get paid less in an 11x4 shift because less of your hours are qualified for night diff. The 11x4 really is for those who value their time more than the money they get paid for.

I have to agree. Si Bong was parang proud na lolo dahil nagsama-sama ang mga apo nya. The place was very elegant with hints of its faded glory. :laugh: Oo nga naman, you have to give HR the credit because they make every effort to ensure na di basta basta ang paglalagyan sa atin. I just wish I won LOTR premiere tickets. They can keep the DVD and the Nokia.

yup. meron yatang open house ***** sa Philamlife, 14th floor. jan19-25 yata... try mo, all day naman yan. if its open house it's usually interview agad then exam afterwards... better go during the day, like early morning so you'll be done by afternoon. right now they offer 13T for trainees, if i'm not mistaken.

wag ka na umasa, may kilala ako na okay naman yung preliminary interview, ang bait pa daw nung una and he did great in the role playing thing and the interviewer even told him that he gave the best answers compared to all the other applicants of the day and yet bigla na lang siyang sinabihan later on na expect a call in the next few days and guess what, they didn't call, instead they just sent him an email telling him he didn't qualify and he has to wait for like 6 months to apply again if ever he really wants to get in...tsk, tsk, tsk,..sometimes i wonder if the interviewer is just pulling your leg or just in a way telling stuff to console you coz later on they're just gonna kick your ***...:rolleyes:

Ayala Land to Build Country’s First E-Services Office Building

The Philippines’ quest to be Asia’s hub for information technology-enabled services has taken a huge stride with the recent signing of a memorandum of agreement between Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) and PeopleSupport (Philippines), Inc. for the construction of an e-services office building - the country’s first structure fully dedicated to call center and business process outsourcing operations - in the Makati Central Business District.

Under the agreement, ALI will construct a five-storey building - to be named PeopleSupport Center - at the corner of Amorsolo Street and Ayala Avenue in Makati City in just over a year. US-based PeopleSupport, on the other hand, will lease over 15,000 square-meters of office space in the building for 10 years. PeopleSupport Center will accommodate over 3,000 IT and call center professionals.

“This is a partnership of faith. Faith in ALI’s expertise in constructing state-of-the-art office buildings and capability to deliver on time, as well as faith in the reputation of PeopleSupport, now the Philippines’ most profitable and second largest call center enterprise,” says Francisco H. Licuanan III, ALI president. “Most significantly, the partnership is a show of faith in the resiliency of the Philippine economy.”

The Philippines is well placed to fill the vacuum being created by India in the Asian call center industry. After having captured a significant share of global outsourcing, India is now gradually moving away from mass-based support services and towards higher end services such as systems integration and software development. The Department of Trade and Industry under the Macapagal-Arroyo government has taken advantage of this development by creating favorable policies geared towards attracting overseas IT investment. The E-Commerce Act has also gone a long way to promoting the Philippines as an IT center in Asia. This augurs well for the labor sector, which is replete with high skilled and proficient IT and IT-driven professionals.

“We are very pleased to have involved Ayala Land in PeopleSupport’s expansion program in the Philippines,” Bong Borja, PeopleSupport (Philippines) president, says. “PeopleSupport is excited to be part of the country’s efforts to create more jobs and pour investments in the local IT-enabled services industry which has proven to be globally competitive.”

Targeted to break ground on March 2004, the e-services office building is a build-to-suit IT facility with a long-term lease. so har i have been very happy with PS, ===> i like my workmates a lot. sobrang bonded kami. lapit na nga lang ng rotation. baka magkakahiwalay na kami. nagka instant barkada na ako. before i wanted to be transferred to an account or even resign coz the account we were handling was too broad (clue: it's PS's biggest account) but the bonding made it a lot easy. ok silang kasama.

saint: PS is still in massive expansion so expansion remains the vision. A five-story PS building is in the works right now. Two new floors in a Buendia location are being developed. PS is also scouting for other locations within the Ayala area, and...akin na lang muna yung isang expansion plan. As for financial growth...akin na lang muna rin yon. Nagtatanong lang po. ;)

it's possible, but highly unlikely that it will happen. there are a lot of factors to be considered.

first, if there is/are opening/s in the new account (take note that only few accounts accept transferees. most account want newly hired people). next the disciplinary standing of the agent (i.e. verbal warning, tardiness, absences, etc) will also be looked into.

on a final note, it's hard to justify why you would want to leave your accoun and transfer to a different one. besides, if they will allow it, it might cause a lot of problems.

Delayed pa? isang beses lang na-delay ang sweldo dito because of Standard Chartered's fault. There are actually 2 banks handling PS payroll. Because of the delay that happened last month, from what i heard, they already cancelled Standard Chartered's services.

Yun lang masasabi ko. BTW, i work for convergys now. I just miss PS so much.

We plan to continue expanding in Cebu and we will eventually have over 3,000 employees there. In Manila, we've already bought out another call center, but for the facilities, not the employees. This is apart from the fact that we are building our very own PeopleSupport building in front of Makati Med. No other call center has their own building. In terms of new clients, just this last month 2 new big clients signed.

What ZephyrInTheSky meant is that the building will be identified by the company name, i.e., PeopleSupport building and once it's finished, it will serve as a landmark along Ayala Avenue. PeopleSupport is actually making a first in the Philippines' call center history.

As per C3, it has its own building but it is called something quite far from C3- the structure is actually identified as Eastwood Contact Center.

When i got here we only occupy Philamlife Building 12th to 14th floor. Ngayon meron nang:

*Robinsons Summit 29th to 33rd plus 21st floor
*Cebu Site
*Export bank (2 floors)
*PeopleSupport Center (5 storey building) under construction.

sisiw lang exam sa PS. super basic internet questions, english proficiency and reading comprehension. that's it. wala pang isang oras alam mo na result. pag pumasa ka you will take the essay and typing speed test.

You can actually drop by the office located at the 32nd/F Robinsons JG Summit Center, Ayala Ave. Yup, they're currently looking for technical support eReps and other non-tech eReps too. Just bring your resume with you and you'd be interviewed immediately... you can also tag along anybody you know who's interested applying in PS so long as they have their resumes too :)

Mayaman daw yan si Bong Borja. May bahay na daw sa plush Makati village at nag-rerecruit ng mga rich kids para magtrabaho sa call center. Sa bagay, it's much easier to break in the accent of people from the AB strata than taking in a squeaky geek or someone with the unique "ILUNGOO AKSINT". :D

I've noticed that most upper-tier call centers are trying to recruit the kids who belong to the AB strata since, knowing they come from educated, well-off families who have traveled, the training would break them in much easier. Hardsell ang mga call center ngayon in marketing the CSR job di ba? :)

Yup, aside from voice, there's also email and chat. As for handling pure voice calls, that's up to the supervisor's discretiion.

Wala pong PS sa Libis, afaik.

Usually u will know in a week after the final interview. If you make it they will call your references and after some verification you're good to go. While others fail and a few are placed in the "active file", both non-passing cases will recieve emails.
