qusetion po: say, for some reason, you were'nt available to accept the job offer, would that count as failing their application. and you'd have to wait another 6 months(?) so you could reapply (considering you'd be available sooner)...

Depends.. As far as I know...if you formally rejected the offer, then you wait 6 months. If you just didnt show up, the application would still be "pending".

The HR in PS are fast-paced people..they don't dillydally.

I tell u what...I vividly remember I applied Wednesday morning and took the exam. I passed the exam and was told to go back in the afternoon for the other test then that same afternoon, I had my final interview. I was advised to wait for a call from them ( they have to check if I was jailed at Munti or something..:lol:)
and then the following day, somebody called me up, telling me to get my *** fast to the office for the job offer. That was Friday. And whew...Monday, I found myself listening to a blonde woman giving us some welcoming remarks and assuring us of a pleasant working envitronment at People Support.

See? Normally, if there's not much of a problem with your application, papers and stuff...you'll have the job ASAP!

Good for you! :) unfortunately for me, when they asked me to wait for their call for a week, i didnt know it was gonna take three weeks. anyway, although i would have prferred to work with them, i'm already tied up for the next 4 months. maybe i'll apply na lang for team lead in 6 months sa PS. see u guys around.

from what industry will you be coming from? it will also depend on the account you will be assigned to. if you are the techie type, you won't have a hard time in tech accounts.

im scheduled for an exam/screening/interview (whatever you call it) with PS tomorrow (june 15) i have no idea how its gonna be.

im up for my final interview with convergys this morning at 9:30 am and in the afternoon, im scheduled for an exam/screening/interview with touch asia contact solutions.

sabi ng kaibigan ko na taga peoplesupport, wag na daw ako sa touch asia. ang pagpilian ko nalang daw, convergys at peoplesupport. kung pera daw habol ko, sa convergys nalang. kung tao daw, PS nalang. masaya daw sa ps, kahit mababa daw ang sweldo kumpara sa ibang contact center, ang mga workmates mo naman daw ang magpapatagal sayo sa trabaho kasi masaya daw ang samahan.

im a fresh grad and i dont have any call center experience yet.

hindi ko pa alam kung sweldo o inter office relationship ang priority ko.

but based on the messages posted on this thread, parang tempting magtrabaho sa PS because of the benefits, the priveleges, and the seemingly perky people.

first of all, hindi po mababa ang sweldo ng PS compared to other call centers especially for newly grads with no call center experience like you. you should check out other related threads to see how PS fair with other call centers:

hindi lang din po sa Philam ang PS. Meron din sa Robinsons Summit (where you are going to take your exam and interview), meron din sa Export Bank Building sa Pasong Tamo and sa Cebu and of course the soon to rise PeopleSupport Center in front of RCBC Plaza.

PS Peeps! musta? I've been at Alabang Town Center yesterday and was surprised to see about the online recruitment they've placed in the mall. Although I admit it looks really high-tech with the name of the company, set up, the works and all and I WAS EVEN TEMPTED TO APPLY..Whew! Grabe, siguro sobrang desperate ko lang umalis and matapos bond ko sa AIG, kahit bumalik sa PS gagawin ko. My present job really sucks. Yeah, people are really cool sa PeopleSupport. This is my very first job and I've no regrets. Hopefully maybe I can comeback someday but not as an agent na, maybe QA or sa recruitment.

thehitman: 4 kiosks, on circular formation, with a weird keyboard (rubberized keys) and a ball type mouse control, with a matching phone, yung pang phone booth! :D tapos may guide bar na parang "dance-revo" - to protect you probably from falling off. sa taas may circular banner - logo ng PS . cute sya, astig yung sample videos. but what I saw was that there where non-reps pretending to be reps on the clip. :D galing, artistang-artista! hehehe!
