yeah atp din ako i used to be with credit bureau account now i'm with travel vertical. wala na nga sa intranet yun atp but u can still inquire with your TS or hr.

as far as i know, OT cannot be forced, nasa labor code yan eh. though pwede mag-request ang company from its employees to render OT, pwede naman mag-decline ang empleyado. yun nga lang, baka sa appraisal naman sha balikan ng sup, baka ang ilagay, uncooperative or something...

i think ngayon hindi na nila shino-shorten ang lunch break. they only do that kapag sobra-sobra ang queue. buti na lang pede i-file as OT yung lunch time na ginamit mo for work. for the past few weeks, halos 40 ang available to take calls. haaay sarap...

i don't think they force OT. more of encouraged. i have declined na rin sometimes since i have an important thing to do after work. i promise my supervisor though that i will make it up next time. i feel guilty rin na swamped ang team tapos hindi ako makatulong to minimize abandoned calls.

ano nga ba naman ang gagawin mo if you see your teammates doing their best to bring down the queue pero mataas pa din? so mag-OT na lang. take one for the team, kumbaga. ok naman ang supes and managers sa isp account e kaya i don't feel that i'm being forced to do OT.

well come to think of it sobra sa downtime ang domains ngayon mapa-voice, fax or email. you should've experienced how it was with domains 3 years ago when it was queueing like hell na hindi bumababa sa 100. hataw kami nun sa OT.

Generally, forced overtime is legal especially with nonexempt employees because the company pays you for it. swerte nga tayo kasi pwede tayong humindi. eh yung mga nurses straight duty pag di dumating ang reliever tapos ang baba pa rin ng pay.

yah, swerte ka kung pwede sa account nyo na humindi sa OT. problema, may (mga) account(s) na hindi pwede humindi, as per order daw ng TM. o, eh pano na yan di ba? in my opinion, this aint productive cuz instead of making the employees understand the need to do OT(and eventually welcome the idea), you make them resent the idea, and it could result to less favorable results like absenteeism, low morale, and it could even bring more stress to the employee cuz of lack of much needed rest.

exempt employees, yes, required sila mag-OT, with no additional pay pa yata cuz their salaries compensate for that. pero non-exempt? i dont think so, kahit pa paid OT yan. may clauses sa labor code na in only extreme and emergency circumstances pwede magpa-forced OT ang company, for example, if it poses a serious damage to the business interest of the company(halimbawa, babagsak ang production or magsa-suffer ng big losses). pero, mahirap patunayan yang "IF" na yan eh.

as i said, ang issue dito is yung kapakanan ng empleyado, vis-a-vis kapakanan ng company. kung understaffed ang isang account, eh di mag-add ng bagong staff to reach your specified targets. pero ang i-pwersa mo with matching penalties pag di sumunod ang current staff to do additional work, kahit pa sabihing bayad yan, eh hindi naman yata tama. there are some things na hindi natatapatan ng pera, tulad ng health, rest, well-being, and time.

dont get me wrong, im not against doing OT. actually, im one of those people na nangunguna sa OT pag may requirement or pag may opportunity. pero, in my point of view, OT should be rendered whole-heartedly by the employee. hindi dapat ito fino-force with the threat of being reprimanded or getting a warning pa pag hindi sumunod...employees should still be given a choice, or even, consulted first.

i'm not in HR or finance, so i'm not well-versed in the specifics of the compensation range for tech support eReps or our benefits packages. What I'm really sure of is that the company adds onto our government mandated contributions so that we are assigned to the highest bracket. We also have great medical and dental coverage too.

we're located at the philamlife tower in paseo de roxas, robinson's summit at ayala avenue, and exportbank plaza at the corner of gil puyat and chino roces.

guys, tingin niyo sa januray hiring pa din ang peoplesupport? gusto ko dito kasi one of the top 5 call centers na tapos sa makati lang ang office nila so no worries on my part kung saan maasign.

i think she's referring to the collections account under PeopleSupport's subsidiary STC solutions. Starting is pretty high and ok ang incentives. Daming mga taga-Sykes na lumipat dun.

I remember somebody posted something with regard to the amnesty program. Here's the reply that I got from HR...

1. HR streamlined the list of terminated agents that initially qualified for the program (warnings, reason for resignation, have accomplished clearance form). They should not have gone AWOL and was not involved in any issue.

2. We forwarded the list to Operations for employees who were able to go live and to training those who were dismissed during training for feedback and recommendation. Those who were recommended will be contacted.

3. We will call them (the agents) and inform them of the program. If they express interest, they will be included in the list that will be forwarded to Human Capital department for processing.

4. HC will conduct the interview with them, and if they qualify, they will be given an offer.

hi People Support peeps!!

I just had my interview today. I think....no, I hope I did ok there. sabi ng interviewer they will assess my application within the week o sa next.

to be honest, I feel a little nervous about how my application would end up, kung tatanggapin ako o hindi. well there are other call centers out there but of course, it would be nice kung matanggap ako agad.

so till I get the call within the period or not, I'm still hoping and praying about it. wish me luck guys!

not that I'm defending the guy or anything, but let's keep the name-dropping off the thread. i know that PEx is a democracy, but let's give the guy the respect that he deserves as a human being. if we have any issues, let's address them using the right venues. if we have any problems with regard to management, we have an open-door policy, and we have HR on our side (ER team... heller! mwehehehehe! :D ).

i have my own beef against some peeps, but hey, let's air our dirty laundry somewhere else. at least let's try to be as constructive as possible.

good pm! i'll be job hunting by november (probably 2nd week) and i would try to apply at PS. Are there available positions by then? What are the steps in applying? and also some other tips so i can ace the exams and interview? Where would I submit my resume? Is it okay even Ive been self-employed for many years and not employed by any company? What are my chances? What is also the salary range in PS? I hope you could help me out. Im apprehensive coz it'll be my first time to apply.

They had good priority numbers for the shift bid (4 and 5) and so they got really good schedules, but management recently decided to change their schedules... what are the usual questions for the phone interview, initial interview and final interview? i just submitted my resume online and this will probably be my first job interview if they call me before the other companies.

For the phone/initial interview, you'll just be asked general questions about yourself and the items you wrote on your resume will be discussed in detail. The idea here is for the interviewer to get a grasp of your english proficiency, and maybe gauge how much you really want the job. Be prepard to answer questions about PeopleSupport so do your homework. At the very least, please browse our website. For the final interview, you will be given an overview of PS. This is the time for you to think for yourself if you really want to work for PS.
