flexibility depends on the account. some accounts operate only during U.S. business hours that means you'll be assigned in the graveyard shift for the rest of your PS life. but the good thing about it is that you will always be on weekend off.

schedules are more flexible in accounts that operate on 24x7. you can request to be assigned in the morning shift or to go on 10x4 shift (10 hours a day, 4 days a week).

Ah ok. Tnx sa details. Mern ba mga taga-PS na napagsasabay yung school and work? Ganon kasi gnawa ko for four months and unfortunately, my luck just ran out kasi yung mga subjects ko sa school, puro pang-umaga na and hindi na sya jive dun sa sched ko sa work kaya sobrang bad trip kasi ayoko talaga mag-resign pero no choice. Feeling ko, sobrang mabo-bore ako pag nag-aral lang kasi i'm a 2nd courser and i got 1 1/2 more years to go para matapos ko yung course ko now

oo naman. there are a lot of part-timers who are also undergrads here in PS.

i suppose it's just a matter of prudence. inform workforce or your supervisor of the probabilities of your schedule way in advance of the start of the semester / term so that you can reasonable skeds.

I know it's the ideal, but at least you'll have probabilities to work on as opposed to nothing, right?

maraming opportunities to earn more, like if you're in a sales account, pwedeng may commissions. most of the accounts naman, may mga performance bonus, perks, etc, etc. madalas din magpa-open OT yung ibang account, ganun...

pay raise is determined by your yearly appraisal and length of stay. oh, and upon regularization, may automatic increase din.

Handing over your resume in person would be the wisest choice. I'm not really sure about HR's policy with regard to retracted applications, but I suppose re-applying won't hurt. Just give it a shot.

I remember somebody posting a reply to your question in another thread. I remember you sending me a PM some time ago, and I replied to your PM particularly on this topic.

Anyways... just to reiterate... PS does not have a training bond. It was lifted a month or two ago. But, our recruitment team would like to hire people who'd be more likely to stay with the company longer than just a few months. It would be unfair on the part of management to spend so much money and manpower on a person who can't really see himself or herself as part of PeopleSupport in the long-run.

the reason why you are also advised to fix it with BIR directly is that it would be faster. it'll take around 15 mins. that what they say.

part-timers should also receive 13th month pay (sabi ko nga... government mandated benefit po ito :D ). i've confirmed with finance that you are to receive your 13th month benefit if you've been with PS for more than a month (which isn't a problem in your case, eh?). if you've been with PS for less than a year, your 13th month pay will be calculated pro-rata.

undergrads are not limited to a per project basis ... there are undergrad employees who are regularized. another good thing is they dont have age limit as long as you speak good english...

relocation allowance depends on the position ... but i they dont provide meal or transpo allowance.. un lang, one time relocation allowance...

the reloc allowance can pretty much cover for the airfare and house rental downpayments.. may sobra ka pa! Punta ka agad sa Double A. Masarap mga food doon.

i'm not sure how they revised the exam. sabi nila they made it easier for the applicants pero from what i heard from one of the newbies meron na daw math. eh dati naman puro english lang: identification of error and reading comprehension tapos 10 questions about internet.

typing skills? basta practice ka lang. you can go to www.typingtest.com. pag naman di ka pumasa sa typing test pababalikin ka lang the next day for re-take.

Ang masasabi ko lang ay panis ang pasta na binigay nung New Year's Eve. Panis as in spoiled at hindi dahil sa walang lasa or anything. Panis ang pagkaing binigay. Hoy, totoo ito ha. Hindi ito chika lang. Tanong niyo sa mga taga 14th Floor Philam.

Yeah, panis nga ang binigay na pasta nung new year's eve sabi ng supe ko. Buti na lang new year's day ako naka-duty, nahintay ko yung delivery ng 10am. Nothing special about the food, except that it's free. Oh well.
