Guys anybody from this Account? Got into this program at Sykes good thing they have an "immersion" program. Parang you sit in and listen to agents and then mini open forum about the job.
Any first hand info please for those who are actually a part of this account. One thing that is cleared to me though, this is a Customer Service job. You don't trade, buy or even place stocks, mutual funds and annuities. The Series 6/7 and 63 exams are purely for requirement purposes and the exam is actually very different or not at all connected to the actual job. Those are my impressions anyway, kaya medyo na disappoint ako.
Care to validate po or dispute. Thanks.

Yes, the job has nothing to do with giving recommendarions on what shares to buy and sell.....you have to be in the US to do that. CS work siya.

I used to be a part of this program in Etel about a year ago which I quit. It was Minnetonka I believe which required Series 7/63 which I was a part of. And like you I was dissapointed to find out it was just like your 89-100 (BPI's call center) phone banker rather than doing some trading. But I should have known better since why would Ameriprise (the new Amex Financial Advisor) outsource their trading here, its a very delicate thing....
One thing though, the pay is really good in contrast to other programs.

Did you finish your 1.5 year bond with E-Tel? Hmmm...Good thing may "immersion" thingie pa ang Sykes at least clear lahat. Though medyo disappointed ako, because I thinking it really was a "Financial Advisor" position. =(
