It's heartening to know that our so called public and provincial schools have dominated the recent ME board exams both in terms of top ten examinees and
passing rate while putting to shame prestigious Manila based engineering schools like Mapua, UST and DLSU ( the only center of excellence for ME ). Despite limited resources they were able to attain these achievement and we just took it for granted because of their low status in the Philippine academe.
It's not even a fluke because year in and year out they have proven their worth and we have'nt taken notice of it. It's time to give credit where it is due! Congratulations public and provincial schools! Keep up the good work!

The successful examinees who garnered the ten (10) highest places are the
following:

This was after the "credible" ranking. Crashhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Dr. Belino will be quite disappointed with this result.

I am so happy for the schools listed above especially those located in the provinces.

dahil marami ang college students na nawawalan ng kumpiyansa sa sarili dahil hindi daw sila nakapag-aral sa maynila. sana ngayonlalo silang magaral ng mabuti.

i agree. ust's 78% is still credible.

mapua's low passing rate is no longer a surprise. it has been like that for the last 10-15 board exams.

Sure it has the monopoly of the best *local* minds. But you'd expect the nationally best minds to be in the big city wouldn't you?

^I think so, since mas maraming graduates nung April na kumukuha ng October exams.

No topnotchers this time but still a stellar performance as usual. Yun nga lang yung previous batches 100% sila

of course not. a common misconception, fostered by the so-called 'elite'. some of the very best UP products came from unheard-of places in the provinces.

Take the most recent NAT for example, topping the list are schools (both elementary and high schools) from the impoverished provinces of Leyte, Samar and other provinces in Mindanao. Nowhere can you find schools in Metro Manila listed among the top performing schools. Hype, misconception and ignorance are what make people think that Manilans are intellectually superior.

I think more funds should be given to the different state Universities as a reward for good performance such as this one....

Siguro if we would focus on this state Universities baka di lang big 4 meron ang Pilipinas it only shows na madaming ding matatalino ang wala sa big 4 di lang nabibigyan ng tamang atensyon like PUP....
